HDTV and clear images
We've all seen caps that lost most of their detail, were fuzzy and off-color (colorimetric-wise) and recordings that were terrible ("What am I looking at?"), but this new HD stuff blows me away. I was watching "CSI: Miami" tonight and they had an outdoor sequence (not bondage) that you could have walked into! Absolutely stunning! Now, if Hollywood doesn't screw us to the point where we can't record anything, then we might just have something.

Think 1280x720 32-bit color true resolution!

Do you know how Irving Klaw got into bondage photography? He was originally selling movie stills, and guess which ones kept selling out? He apparently told the studios to please send him anything with bondage. Eventually realized he could do it himself.

As a huge fan of this show since it premiered, oh, 7 1/2 years ago -- and even as a fan of seeing women bound and gagged since I can remember -- I've got to back Van 100 percent on this one. I would be disappointed if the writing on Buffy went to hell, even if it did result in a couple of additional scenes.

Disappointed as I am that with so many babes, the show doesn't find a way to get them "distressed" more often, the fact is that the rare bondage scene on this show really is that much better because the hotties are all such well-rounded, interesting characters--the same reason, I suspect, so many of us prefer mainstream scenes to commerical bondage scenes.

Sure, we all went crazy when the invisible guys closed in on Willow with the duct tape and then... nada. And all of the other near misses, especially where it comes to gags.

Sure, I'd give my right arm for a mass Buffy/Willow/Anya/Dawn/Faith/Amy/Harmony/all the Potentials scene with hogties and thick, tight cleave gags... but since that quite likely ain't gonna happen, I'll still be (relatively) happy with the numerous tie-ups to date, the dual full treatment action Willow and Dawn got last year, the lengthy scene with Joyce a few seasons ago, and the nice tight tape gag on Azura Skye this season.

Hey, it still beats the crap out of Smallville to date...

True, but I'm also getting red flags on this one. Too many guys mucking about, like the whole "father-son adventurers" thing (lends itself to putz scenes, IMHO). Also seems to take itself a little too seriously/politically correct to go with making the female lead the ususal victim.

My (admittedly completely uneducated) prediction would be that several scenes will have dudes, the young lady MIGHT get a scene here or there, or some combination of the above. And that this midseason replacement lasts all of six eps before vanishing.

Of course, we all hope otherwise.

I agree, this incredible spate of whining is getting
ridiculous.

I'll say it one last time, YOU GUYS ARE WRONG! The great
public out there is not clamoring for bondage scenes.
They don't care if the actresses get tied up or not.

Half the bondage community doesn't give a damn.

Nobody but a few of us care whether the scene on the box
cover shows up in the movie.

In the old days, we each thought we were unique and alone,
so we sure didn't go projecting our desires on the
community at large. One of the problems with forums like
this is it gives you a false sense of numbers. In absolute
terms, we are tiny.

I'll say it again, hear it, believe it. Nobody else cares.
Nobody else cares. Nobody else cares.

Got it?

Now let's drop these whiny posts or I'll drop them for
you. Get on to some constructive topics.

Thanx for the kind words Mornad.

I hope everyone realises here?,
the Canadian Alerts are posted for everyone here. Fellas in US greatly outnumber Canadians using them.

Try to get as many shows taped for passing around as I can. That, and the DiDcap/clip sites have assisted greatly in letting everyone interested see the scenes.
Bindher has been incredible about posting them, same Anubis, Biff, Fuzz & Frank.

Lost G-Man & AVI-Fan, two DiDclippers who were great,
but when they get back, imagine they'll post up the foreign scenes as well.

So even if can't receive Canadian channels, everyone interested should be able to make some use of the alerts.

It's a big part of why I prefer mainstream over commercial, that's for sure. It's more satisfying to see someone I "know" get into a situation, and see what they do in it. It's more genuinely exciting than seeing a mere model posing.

In fact, unless the imagery is profound, aesthetically pleasing, or seems to tell a good enough story by itself, I can't really care for a scene unless there's enough of a setup, and a reason for it to occur. Does anyone else feel this way? I just can't separate the scene from its context.

Bravo will air a 12 hour "Boomtown" marathon on Sunday, March 2nd. It will feature every episode that has aired so far, leading up to the series return to NBC (from a brief hiatus) later that night. Sometime in March, Bravo will also air a marathon of NBC's upcoming drug dealer drama "Kingpin". NBC recently aquired Bravo, just in case it wasn't obvious.

The Western Channel (Encore Westerns) has picked up "Alias Smith and Jones".

WAM! has picked up repeats of "Weird Science" and "Young Hercules".

And ABC Family has picked up repeats of "King Of Queens", "Malcolm In The Middle" and "The Gilmore Girls". Yeah, I know that none of these three shows has produced a scene but I'm still dreaming of a mother/daughter hogtie on "The Gilmore Girls".

I'm actually going the other way on this. I think Garner in a bikini/lingerie and the occassional tie-up without a gag is all we'll get from this show, although I'll watch next week. Did you notice the lingerie scenes were right at the start, when the Super Bowl leftover audience was biggest, and they added in the bikini promo for next week? Now they had to discuss that with Garner, or she must know she's in lingerie for the Super Bowl night episode.

Off course ABC may have outsmarted themselves. Due to the idiotic post-game show running until 11:01, "Alias" received the lowest rating for a post-Super Bowl game in 15 years, only a 10.6, meaning only 25 percent of the audience from the game (40.6 rating) stuck around from 10:15 onward waiting for the Jennifer lingerie show.

Garner also stars in "Daredevil" due out in February. Maybe something there. Probably not.

There really was nothing...I suffered through that game all the way to the end. At the end, if you let the bad guys get her, they simply grabbed her arm and dragged her away through a door. Not even a hand gag, she's calling for you to help as she's dragged away.

Crossing Jordan
Saw last night that next week's Crossing Jordan is about the Boston Strangler. They showed a short clip of a scene with a woman having both her wrists held tightly in the hand of a man (a look that I love) and I was wondering if anyone had heard if there was going to be anything of interest in this ep?

Anyone bother checking this one out? Having watched the ads, and seen it described by one reviewer as "...“Raiders of the Lost Ark” as told by a slow 9th-grader on Sominex...", I sorta gave it a miss, but is there any indication there might be fun, games, and hijinks ahead?

Hey Jeb, the regular girl is a super hottie, and it is a bit like Indiana Jones, but nothing close in episode 1 and preview did not look promising because they go to the artic and there is a lot of ice climbing and such, very outdoorsy.

THE NEVADAN (1950)

This airs Wednesday morning at 450 on AMC (running time listed at 81' ... I assume that doesn't account for ads).

There *was* a scene with Dorothy Malone with her wrists bound to a saddlehorn atop her horse that came in around the 65' mark during a two-hour presentation on TNT. Allen Marburger's listings mention a gag but caution that it might be missing from TV showings, as indeed was the case.

This was discussed some time back when it aired on AMC, but I can't recall the upshot. Was she gagged in that version?

Thanks in advance.

1)I'm not Anna. She's got bigger tits than me.

2)I'm not selling a bloody thing. Nor am I trying to drum up publicity for anything. Hell, I don't even begin filming my next film for another two months.

3)I'm simply coming from the standpoint of a person who works damn hard at what he does, works harder still for what he can get, and knows the meaning of the word gratitude. Everytime I read of a conspiracy theory or a constant whine about a scene that was begged for for years, I wanna hit the roof. Mostly because the theories are either asinine or because the people doing all the crying are plain out ingrates.

I suspect Brian has a rough idea of what I'm talking about to. He's spent a lot of time working on this site and taken a lot of abuse for doing the job he does, even though I personally consider him the fairest moderator on the net. Maybe he'll delete this post. Maybe he'll delete the whole thread, though I think at least some interesting discussion was actually had from it. If he does, I'll know he'll only be doing what he considers his job and I won't hold a grudge. Though I wonder how many of you tomorrow might come in and type "Brian, how dare you delete that thread!"

I tend to think some of those things that have been said in reference to Brian's moderation, later followed by these comments on conspiracy theories and such are what really set me off. Especially since many of the same people making the comments about Brian are the ones with the half-cocked theories about scenes they feel they're owed.

Holy Grails
There has been a little discussion about Holy Grails lately.

What exactly makes something a Holy Grail, is it a:

1. Specific Actress
2. Specific scene type [comical, serious, escape challenge, hogtie, spreadeagle, etc]
3. Unique/Unexpected scene [ie Lucy and Ethel back to back in the candy store, Eve Arden tied on the couch making gag noises even though she isn't gagged]
4. Unique materials/equipment used [ballgag, computer wiring harness, stick bit gag and vines, etc]
5. First time something happened in a mainstream movie [ballgag, visible mouth packing, topless, nudity, etc]
6. Something viewed only once a long time ago
7. Something only known from a Vidcap or photo
8. Combination of the above, ie 1960s Elizabeth Taylor hogtied in her "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" slip [no such scene, just an example]

Any others ??

Todd/Conspiracy Theories
Agree with Todd 1000000000000000% about the job Brian does here, been saying so for years.

The only discussion type group/board that came anywhere close to this one in having a owner/operator who clearly defined and enforced the rules was the Yahoo Club 'Bondage In Everyday Life' run by UHUH CLEM and that didn't survive the switch to Yahoo Groups. It is functioning now as a seperate site and CLEM is still doing a great job keeping the pics on topic, bt it is now pretty much a photo site.

Brian is the sole example of what a good moderator/owner/operator of a discussion group should be.

If I want laughable conspiracy theories I go to the USENET groups, not here.

From my long dormant site: A "Holy Grail" describes a scene that greatly affected you when you were young, and that you have searched for over the years.

What elements exactly constitute a Holy Grail scene vary from person-to-person. They are certainly rarer these days than in the pre-VCR, pre-Internet days.

Movie-Two Coyotes
Has anybody here seen the film Two Coyotes? The DVD case shows an attractive Latina woman tied up, and sporting a thick cleave gag. I'm just wondering if it delivers a scene, and if so if the scene is any good. Since I've been taken in by false advertising on video covers before, I'm wondering whether it's worth the money. Not ADIOS AMOR
The early-AM Monday Mexican movie I wanted the title for was not the one Philly Ed mentioned on his site. The one I saw was a sort of action-comedy. A buxom woman with light brown hair wearing a military-style suit (dark double-breasted jacket with brass buttons and braids on the sleeves, skirt, dark stockings and black low-heeled shoes) is shown tied to a chair and sports a blue knotted cleave-gag.

The hero sees her through a window, and she tries to warn him of an armed man hiding under the window. She nods at the unseen man and is shown (in close-up) chewing on the knot between her teeth... It's played for laughs. The hero doesn't seem to take her plight seriously.

When the comical hero finally rescues her, he kneels down and unties her feet, then reaches around her waist to free her hands, pressing the side of his head against her considerable bosom.

Well Jeezo-Pete, mebbe if you had just said that instead

people would've gotten the message better.

In the future, post your opinions under a different, like

Good definition.

When I was a kid, I saw the commercial for Vegas "Mixed Blessing". It had a three second shot of the gagged girl in the phonebooth. That was all I saw of that scene, didn't know what else there was to it. I never got the title or anything.
I never saw reruns of Vegas until years later, and never saw the episode. I still didn't that scene was from that show. 20 years later and I never came across it.

A couple of years ago by chance I read a description of the scene so I knew it was from Vegas, and picked it up recently in a trade. Turned out to be a great lengthy scene.

Anyway, that was my holy grail. I don't think any other scene will ever be that hard to find, so I wouldn't call them my grails.
