Saturday February 08 00:12:00 2003 Shanghai Knights! |
Doesn't look like anyone's mentioned it yet--so... big scene in Shanghai Knights. Fann Wong is tied arms over head, overthemouth gag, and legs tied to anchor thingies on the ground, so when she's pulled up there's kind of an expansion/rack effect. Wearing a leather vest/coat thing over a silk pantsuit kind of outfit. Later tied hands behind her back, still gagged. Not a convincing gag, but some good emoting. The movie is not bad either. |

I'll second "Let's Go Play at the Adams'" though I wouldn't mind at all if it had a more "Hollywood" ending.
I'll also nominate "Dancer of Gor." Lots of belly-dancing, lots of Gor. Could be a great flick. It would require a good actress with a smokin' bod and extreme belly dancing skills. Not sure wnho would work. |

That's because I'm not sure about it yet. We'll see how it goes. My recollection is that Shevette's site is a fetish site, so I'm inclined to think it's probably off-topic, but I haven't checked out the game. |

Not sure, but it looks like a possible kidnapping occurred in the end of Friday's episode. Simon's cute gal Katie is seen in nice skirt, boots and black hose talking to Simon's nemisis. When Simon realizes his babe might be in trouble he rushes back to the house only to find no one there but a note left behind. Could make a good scene, considering the cuteness of the babe, and her sexy outfit!! |

"Captive of Gor"-- IMHO, the one time Norman had it firing on all cylinders.
Janet Morris' "Wind From the Abyss" or "High Couch of Silistra" (actually, there is evidently a fifth title in this series which I have never read-- "Returning Creation". Might be worthwhile, too). |

Saturday February 08 02:30:33 2003 Shanghai, DID in Novel |
Several weeks ago I saw the quick preview on AXN Asia with suspension scene. The movie is a big box office hit in Asia. Apparently the movie was released earlier in Asia.
###Novel What about a popular local novel: the opening scene is a man who bound, gag and whip his wife for adultery. She release the stuff gag from her mouth, but the angry husband put cleave gag on her mouth. Later she was killed. The 2 sons accidentally saw the torture and murder of their mother. When the 2 boys grow up, they became serial killers. Lots of groping & DID scenes. |

It may have been called "Save the Last Dance for Me" I remember this one- never picked it up, just scanned through it while I was in the bookstore. It was about a stalker who kidnaps the above-mentioned actress/dancer. There were at least 2 scenes in it; the first one has the heroine waking up B&G while the stalker's kissing her. The second has him stashing her in some kind of hideaway bed setup while he answers the door; when he pulls the bed back out there's a nice description of her condition: "(Fill in the blank) tumbled out, loosely bound but tightly gagged." That last part has always stuck in my head. Wonder why? :) BTW, I'm pretty sure it wasn't Dean Koontz. |
Saturday February 08 10:32:00 2003 Mainstream Bondage Flick Waiting To Happen |
I guess I should modify the "rules" a little. Think in terms of "MAINSTREAM" novels or short stories. *Let's Go Play at the Adams* is a valid proposal (even if the downer ending *does* sort of ruin it for me personally), & so is "R is for Revenge" or anything else from SVH, Nancy Drew, or other juvenile series. However, let's be realistic. *...of Gor* & any of Rice's *Sleeping Beauty* books are (sadly) marginal, 'cause they contain scenes so erotic they'd have to be *drastically* watered down to get a commercial rating. Anything by John Willie, Stanton, or Bishop would have to be *drastically* changed to get onto a multiplex screen. Maestro Saudelli's works stand a better chance 'cause of their overtly comic nature, but they're still longshots at best.
So... think in terms of the possible. *At the Villa Rose* is still my first choice, but here's my second: *Topping From Below* by Laura Reese. The mummification scene alone would be worth the price of a ticket (especially with someone like, say, Amanda Peet in the role of Nora.) :-) |

I managed to find pics of Stephanie Cameron from DOOL tied up in pj's but I think there's more out there. If anyone remembers, Jennifer struggled to get her hands free and she did, but when she got to the door, her captor was there. In the next scene, she was b&g agian and this time she was tied down to the bed. Later, she jumped off the bed and hopped to a knife and cut herself free. She escaped again but the kidnapper was at the door and her tied her up again. Does anyone have any pics of those events? |

If you just deleted the character and left the rest of the text on the first line, then the program is doing its job. The only way it has to know whether a line is a part of a quote is the lead character. |

If I recall, during that scene where she bounces out of the hide-a-bed where he had her stashed, there was a line that read something like "he pulled the gag down from around her mouth & held out his hand for her to spit out the mouthfull of wet pebbles in her mouth, which he threw back into the windowsill plants". Not THAT would make a unigue form of mouth-packing in a mainstream scene! If you struggled too much to talk or work your gag free, you risk swallowing a mouthfull of pebbles! I think this book also had an earlier scene where she wakes up tied & gagged in a bathtub, and works her gag off with the faucet. ANd later, after the hideabed scene, there is a short passage where he has her backstage during a dance routine and I think the line went something like"...his hand clamped tightly over the mouth of a tied, gagged, & trembling Jennifer Smith" (or whatever her last name was) I think this book would make an awesome movie! |

Saturday February 08 11:54:34 2003 The Collector |
>...Unfortunately, when I tried to have it published as the official adaptation, I was told that Jude Law had optioned the book for five years and no rights could be sold. Apparently, he and his wife will be producing their own adaptation in the West End of London, so keep an eye out for that.
------------ In today's newspaper: "Nicole Kidman has ben linked with xxx, but her sister Antonia says her heart belongs to a certain British actor. Antonia is coy. The British tabloids aren't. They've been screaming all week that Kidman has been dallying with Jude Law. Law has denied all the gossip, but he and his wife, Sadie Frost, are reportedly living in separate houses. The four kids are with Frost." So it remains to be seen what impact this could have on the production of a "The Collector" re-make. Frost gave us a memorable DiD scene in "Cisco Kid", with her onscreeen gagging and mmphing. On the other hand, Kidman is certainly an actress who could carry off the demanding role of Miranda (I'd see her character redefined as a calculating wealthy woman, rather than as a rather naive university girl). And she's recently done a nude scene on stage, not to mention all of the bondage in "Birthday Girl". I certainly could live with the casting of either as Miranda. (Right, Van?) :-) |

The Gor novels ARE mainstream. They're sold in bookstores as SF and F, as is fitting and proper. By the standard you just established, "The Collector" isn't mainstream because it contains a scene that would have to be drastically watered down to be commercial. (Remember, after Miranda tries to seduce Ferdy, he decides she's more of a common slut than he thought and he has a few sessions with her where he "makes her pose like the women in those bondage magazines he gets in the city." Mainstream oughtta simply be the books that are sold in sections other than "Erotica" which would separate out the Anne Rice books, etc., quite nicely. |

Forgive me, Pat, but John Norman's works (especially after he shrugged off his first editor) are marginal in all respects (to be polite.) Faithful adaptations are possible (the watering down I referred to mainly the changing nudity to *near* nudity) but the gods would really have to smile for the result *NOT* to be as bad as one of those Saturday 9PM "SciFi Originals." > By the standard you just established, "The > Collector" isn't mainstream because it contains a scene > that would have to be drastically watered down to be > commercial. (Remember, after Miranda tries to seduce > Ferdy, he decides she's more of a common slut than he > thought and he has a few sessions with her where he > "makes her pose like the women in those bondage magazines > he gets in the city." You lost me with that example. "The Collector" is as mainstream as it gets. The dual diaries structure of the novel makes adaptation a real bear (which was why the Eggar/Stamp film version is a traditional linear story) but the "racy" scenes don't trouble me in the least. It may have been a problem in the 60's... but not now. > > Mainstream oughtta simply be the books that are sold in > sections other than "Erotica" which would separate out the Anne Rice books, etc., quite nicely. Drawing the line at Border's Books Literature/Erotica policy is as good as anything else. A last word (whether it fits in this reply or not): Ya know... John Willie's work has NEVER been made into a movie. Just Jaeckin's "The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak" was 99.9% original. Other than the fact that the lead character was named Gwendoline & got tied up a few times, it had nothing to do with Willie. I read a interview at the time the movie came out in which Jaeckin said it was based on "the French comic." (Geesh!) ANYhoo... it would take a real concentration of talent to make a "Race For the Gold Cup" movie... but whatever the result it would be "doomed" to cult status (like Buckaroo Banzai.) :-( ...which is a sad observation, not a dig. |

> I think this book also had an earlier scene where she
> wakes up tied & gagged in a bathtub, and works her gag > off with the faucet. You're absolutely right; your post just jogged MY memory. There was another book that's always stuck in my mind, but I can't remember the title. The scene I remember was with the main character (a female psychiatrist) being knocked out by someone who is framing someone she knows for murder. After she's knocked out, the killer ties the doc up with her own scarf and hunts up some pantyhose for a gag. The writer describes this in interesting detail: "He stuffed the bulk of the hose in her mouth and looped the ends around her head several times before knotting it tightly in back, forming a perfect gag." When the doc wakes up he forces her outside and into the trunk of a car, also nicely detailed. Again, it's funny what sticks in your mind, isn't it? My other note here is that I was on Kazaa and did a vid search for "bondage". A zillion hits as usual, but an unexpected bonus was that somebody out there apparently put out a pretty good clip of Heather Graham's NEAR-asphyx scene from "Killing Me Softly". Not a big fan of that myself, but the fact that she's naked through just about the entire scene makes up for that, in my book. Anyway, just thought you guys should know it's out there. Man, I don't think I've ever posted this much before; am I gonna get chewed out? |

I have simpler tastes. I would like to see some of the Nancy Drew books brought to cinema. Say "The Clue Of The Tapping Heels" or "The Winged Lion" or "The Clue In The Attic". This series has never been done justice on film. New scripts not needed. Just do the old books. |

I've completely dropped this show for months due to the lousy direction of the storylines and the lousy acting. I know we got spoiled last summer and fall. Plus, every male on the show dumping the hottest and sexiest females on the show (Rosanna, Molly, etc.) to chase after aging and heavyset Carly. Totally absurd. However, ANY chance for something with Katie (Teri Columbino) will get me watching. I'll check the soap teasers. Also, anything lately on "Guiding Light" with the stalker? Another one dragging on for months. |

> I'll also nominate "Dancer of Gor." Lots of belly-dancing, lots of Gor. Could be a great flick. It would require a good actress with a smokin' bod and extreme belly dancing skills. Not sure who would work.
------------ Those are three tough criteria, especially since Belly dancing is getting to be a hard-to-find skill (pole-dancing tends to be a lot more profitable these days). The Barbi Twins worked as Belly dancers before they were discovered, but then there's that criteria for acting skill. Well, there should be room for a gratuitous cameo appearance. Dancer-turned actress Carmen Electra ("The Chosen One: Legend of the Raven") could be a leading candidate. OK, she's a little light on that "Good actress" checklist item -- but then, "Dancer of Gor" is rather unlikely to obtain an A-list actress. This is the sort of project that would seem to be written for a Carmen Electra. If one were insist on a good actress, how about Daryl Hannah? Veteran pole-dancers remarked on the prowess she acquired for "Dancing at the Blue Iguana" (Demi Moore also learned the craft for "Striptease", but I'd rate Hannah as a much better actress), and she's known for signing up for quirky movies. |

Well, this isn't exactly a bondage "scene" in a mainstream game, but...
I've been playing the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 3. You work for the mafia early on in the game, but when things turn sour you are helped to safefy by Maria, the daughter of your old boss, and her "friend" Asuka, a young lady with Yakuza ties. Anyway, so you end up doing some jobs for Asuka. On the mission "Payday for Ray", you visit Asuka and she welcomes you and tells you that "Maria is all tied up at the moment, but I'll tell her you called." From the background you hear Maria yelling, "Who is that, Asuka? Look, I know I've been a naughty girl but I really need to pee, okay?" Not really a "scene" in that there's nothing visual... but still, it was a cute surprise. |

Kudos to Todd, Tapemaster and Fuzz for their effort to get the Stephanie Cameron caps posted and linked to this site. The caps look real good. Kudos also to Mark for the link to his Holly Robinson caps. I always liked Ms. Robinson. She's a cutie! Thanks also to everyone else who posts caps or links to caps and /or who maintain sites with caps and clips. Your efforts are greatly appreciated by this poster and many others.
As for a suggestion for turning a book into a novel, many of the suggetions already posted are very good. I especially agree with the poster's comments concerning the Nancy Drew books "Just follow the books. No new material needed." I would add John Creasy's Two for Inspector West which is also titled Murder One, Two, Three. IIRC, the damsel spent qite a bit time B&G'd, and the paperback version had a great DID tie up photot on its cover. |

The same might be said of the movie adaptation of the Gor novels. I especially liked the scene from Outlaw of Gor where Tarl Cabot swears that he will always fight slavery. THAT's putting your own mark on a work, alrighty! BTW, I didn't nominate ALL the Gor novels for movie adapation, but Dancer of Gor specifically. There's a reason. The strong belly-dancing theme, combined with the adventure theme and the bondage theme, would "balance" the movie and make it much more mainstream than some of the others. |

> Those are three tough criteria, especially since Belly > dancing is getting to be a hard-to-find skill > (pole-dancing tends to be a lot more profitable these > days). Actually, there are tons of belly dancers out there. It's really popular and is taught all over the place. Just not much demand for it in movies. I also think I may have overemphasized the acting part. The story in Dancer of Gor is an action romance, kinda like "Romancing the Stone." More than acting skills, you need someone who can project feisty/sexy/hot and who is otherwise competent as an actress. I think Demi Moore fulfills those qualifications rather well. Darryl Hannah has never struck me as being all that sexy. Sandra Bullock would work but she's prolly a little too A-list to go for such a part. Somebody who's promising but not there yet. Maybe Rose McGowan, if she could dance. > The Barbi Twins worked as Belly dancers before they were > discovered, but then there's that criteria for acting > skill. From what I've seen of the Barbi Twins, they're just not good enough as actresses, even for a non-challenging role. We don't need Meryl Streep but we do need someone who can carry a scene. > Dancer-turned actress Carmen Electra ("The Chosen One: > Legend of the Raven") could be a leading candidate. OK, > she's a little light on that "Good actress" checklist > item -- but then, "Dancer of Gor" is rather unlikely to > obtain an A-list actress. I'm not up on her dancing skills, but I dunno about her acting. There are some really good B-list actresses out there, I dunno if she's one of them. You know of any movies where she's done a really good job of acting? |

Saturday February 08 22:14:02 2003 soaps this week/month |
The only spoiler for this week for As The World Turns that concerns Katie said that Katie gets mad about something Simon says.
The Guilding Light stalker spoilers only said that Reva suspects Holly is the stalker. Days of Our Lives, Belle is supposedly going to leave for Paris this week (in real life Kirsten Storms is taking a break to make a new Zenon movie). However, a February sweeps spoiler says that Bo and Shawn must rescue Belle and Hope from Larry. Also, one note for this week said that Shawn wonders if Belle really left. So maybe instead of catching a plane, she'll catch a noseful of chloroform. For One Life to Live, nothing for this week. But... for the week of 17-21 February. Mitch holds Natalie hostage!!! Also, Mitch is willing to sacrifice Natalie to get the girl he wants. This had better give us a better scene than Natalie had last month. |

Raffish (and everyone else for that matter) you also want to make sure you get a first-year-in-print edition "R for Revenge" copy b/c there is a hidden treasure. On the inside cover, there is a photo of three girls in classic cheerleader outfits bound wrists in front and cleavegagged very tightly. Their pretty faces are filled with pleading terror...a very nice pic indeed!!! |

does anyone know of any good books with some good kidnapping and bondage in them? I just had my tv lost and enjoy reading these predicaments as well. Preferrably duct tape but anything not dealing with rape will do. Thanks |

I'm not bothered who they would re-cast in a rem-make as long as it stayed a lot more faithful to the novel than the original film did.
Everyone raves about The Collector...but anyone (who like myself) read the book first was VERY dissapointed about the ammount of scenes which were never filmed |

Thunderbirds is also currently being rerun on TechTV, a U.S. cable channel. My wife really enjoys it. The ep you mentioned was on this week and I saw it, but I didn't tape it because puppets just don't do it for me. |

> For One Life to Live, nothing for this week. Actually there could be quite a bit on this week's One Life To Live. Blair catches Mitch kidnapping Starr, and offers herself instead. Mitch takes her up on the offer and takes her to a goth-like theater AND TIES HER UP and kisses her after she spits on him. No mention of gag, specifically however. Mitch really wants Natalie, so he has Todd kidnap Natalie in exchange for Blair, so things are looking quite good for us. ALSO, it gets better. On Valentine's day, both Blair and Natalie fantasize about being rescued by Todd and Cristian, so there could be scenes on that day as well. |

Compare it to 9 1/2 Weeks (no scenes) and the Gor movies (virtually no scenes, and no gags at all even though the books repeatedly metnion that standard practice when transporting slaves is to gag them). If Story of O had been done by U.S. filmmakers, I think it would probably have been impossible to figure out what the hell it was about, because it would probably have skipped the BDSM altogether. |
