DESPERATE MEASURES is on right now on TBS. It has a bound and gagged scene for Nicolette Krebitz. There is still time to record the scene. |

There was a Sidney Sheldon miniseries where a woman was in prison, and she got a serious handgag. Lots of struggling and attempts to scream. I believe the miniseries was called "If Tomorrow Comes." Does anyone know who the actress was? I'll do a quick database search after this post. |

Friday February 21 02:05:24 2003 Re: Brians Database |
> 15. As The World Turns 16 Don't take this as criticism, but ATWT has had more than 16 scenes. Martha Byrne alone has probably had 10 when you figure in handgags. Just off the top of my head (ranked in order of best to worst): 1. Martha Byrne (1994) — Briefly hogtied in a skirt. Then tapegagged. She cut herself loose, but was recaptured. At some point the skirt turned into pants. This went on for several days. 2. Martha Byrne (1987) — Missed the first part because of a @#%^&^^&* news update. When the show resumed, she was gagged and pretty unhappy about it. I believe she was cuffed to a post. The gag was taken off and put back on a couple of times. 3. Martha Byrne (2000?) — Briefly gagged and tied to a chair. By this time, she was a master DiD and her expressions made this scene, as she was released very quickly. 4. Molly (Leslie Kay?) (2000?) — Great handgag. On the show, she ended up marrying the guy who gave it to her, but at the time, they were adversaries. 5. Meg Ryan (yes, that Meg Ryan) (1980s) — OTM gag, tied to a chair. Short scene. But great. Gotta break up this post and wrap it up ... |
gasface |
Friday February 21 02:13:37 2003 more ATWT scenes |
Quickly now ...
6. Actress who played Meg (1987?) Handgag from the master villain, James Stenbeck. 7. Leslie Kay (2002) Tapegag. 8. Colleen Zenk (long, long ago) If I could remember more of this scene, it would be a lot higher. She was gagged for quite awhile (which she would never agree to now). 9. Martha Byrne. (1980s) Brief handgag. Pretty unhappy about it. 10. Shannon -- name of actress escapes me. No gag, but she wasn't wearing much. Tied to a chair, played like a comedy scene. Runners-up: At least one more handgag for Martha Byrne. At least two scenes for Carly, but I hate that actress as a DiD. Shannon tied to a post and gagged, but it was a dark scene, literally and figuratively. Handgag for Margo, but during a vicious rape scene. The show started with a warning to viewers. Not pleasant to remember. Oldsters: Lucinda twice, Lisa once that I can remember. Yuck. Lein got a handgag once, and I know Meg got at least one more. By my count, I'm nearing 20, and I know Martha Byrne had at least one more scene during the mid-1990s when the show was unwatchable. And that's without searching the database ... |

> What's the best bondage you've ever seen on TV that never
> happened? > I don't know if this one qualifies, but I'm going to rant about it anyway. A rented a movie last year called "Suckers," about the car selling business and how everyone gets ripped off. I only rented it because it looked interesting. Anyway, the guy in the movie gets a guilty conscience about ripping people off, and the car store owner is also storing drugs. To my shock the guy's wife is played by Lori Loughlin. She hardly had any screen time, but at the end the bad guys storm his house and force the guy to do some dirty deed. One of the thugs says we'll keep her (Laughlin) here until you're finished. BOTH thugs were then in the climax scene across town, meaning Lori was back at the house by herself tied and maybe gagged. They good guy wins out and kills the thugs but they never cut back to the house for her rescue scene. They jumped right ahead to the finish. I've never seen a movie/TV show play out like that where the rescue wasn't shown after it clearly was set up. |

--------- But Helgenberger did have a dandy in Murder Live! (1997). Not only did it feature an Onscreen tape-up & Gagging, but the scene was lengthy w/ plenty of closeups -- w/ excellent lighting. |

Pat is correct about Marg having been on LEXX! I distinctly remember her being a guest star & being captured by the forces of His Shadow & being spread-eagled on a minimal bondage frame thingie & gagged with a dental spreader device... Then Jamie Rose, Julianne Moore, Nick Kidman, & Raelee Hill, all dressed in Barbarella-type sexy outfits, wandered in & began ripping off Marg's costume & massaging her pale, lightly freckled skin with heated oil... & then Xenia Seeberg appeared, turned into a Fringe Lizard, & captured all the others, binding & gagging them in various stringent poses... & then she turned back into Zev & began massaging Marg herself... & massaging her... & massaging her... & then I woke up. :-) Just a reminder, folks: Today is Hat Trick Friday on the SciFi Channel!!! |

Another strange "Arm In Front" chair ties is "Wild Thing": Kathleen Quinlan's hand are crossed in front and bound to a rotating chair. During the fight, She is "spinned" several times on the chair.
Is there any chair ties + hand behind back scene showing DID's large breast / boobs? A strange scene in "Murder Live", where a beautician put additional makeup on Marg without removing tape gag or the rope! She said: "Her makeup is ruined!" Any other makeup + DID scene? |

Marg had a missed opportunity years ago on a soap opera (I think "Ryan's Hope." You hear her mmmphing in a car trunk that was partially open but she is never shown. Later she says: "I was knocked out and when I woke up my hands and feet were tied and there was a gag in my mouth." |

Nothing on As the World Turns. Allison was rescued in the bar before anything could happen.
On "Days", the blonde is cuffed to the stair railing and Hope is out cold, and not restrained, as the gas leaks in in the final minutes. The blonde has one hand cuffed, the other free. I think Hope was drugged. I didn't watch One Life to Live since it repeats on SoapNet. |

Actually, since I didn't get any replies to this, I started calling around & lo & behold, a friend of mine who records "CSI" every Thursday got the first 15 minutes or so of "Without a Trace" & I was able to get a look at the opening credits. The only 3 females listed were Veronica Cartwright (who we KNOW didn't play the bride), Nancy (who according to the IMDB was born in 1959, so I doubt she was the young bride) and Kelly Overton (who I think must have played the bride). Incidently, the IMDB says Kelly either plays or played a girl named "Rain" on All My Children. I haven't watched that show enough recently to know if this is the girl who played "Rain"...maybe someone else can shed some info here. But I'd bet this is her, since I imagine with a name like "Rain" she's probably young enough to have played the bride. |

Friday February 21 21:29:15 2003 today's soap scenes |
Days of Our Lives - what's up with just cuffing Kirsten Storms to the railing by one wrist? At the very least he could have cuffed both wrists over her head to the railing. And leaving Hope unrestrained? Ridiculous. With her nearly unconscious, it would have been simple to tie her hands behind her. I understand the lack of gags since the women would be dead soon (according to his plan) but a gag on Belle could have been reasonable since she was still pretty fiesty. Rating: 1 out of 10.
General Hospital - Way too quick of an abduction scene. Instead of showing the guys talking on the phone, why not show Courtney being tied up the whole tiem as they talked? Her wrist bonds were loosies. Quite lame. You gotta tie her hands behind her. The ankle ropes looked decent but we only saw them for about 3 seconds. Since they called the boyfriend and told him where to find her, why not put a thick cleave gag and mouth packing on her? It's not like she was going to stay gagged very long. And I'm sure that finding Courtney gagged like that would have been a good addition to their whole psychological plan against Sonny and Jason. Rating: 1.5 out of 10. |

Friday February 21 21:36:27 2003 First duct tape gagged damsel |
Everyone by now can say that silver duct tape has become the most popular gag for damsels in mainstream media. But how and when film directors realize that this type of gag would be the best one they use for actresses getting the full treatment? I remember those 80's white medical tape gags being relegated by duct tape in the early 90's . But I wonder who could have been the first damsel that gets the honor of wearing the first piece of duct tape in her mouth. Maybe it's easy to find out because it's been only a decade. I bet that the color was silver. Or black? |

Amanda Tapping's bound-and-gagged scene is within the last 15 minutes. She gets knocked out (hit on the head) as well. However west coasters, don't get your hopes up. There are no close-ups. ---------- Aargh! Like many here, I was suckered into tuning into Stargate SG-1, which aired at 9PM (and also watching Michael Jordan turn back the clock to score 43 points vs. the NJ Nets). It probably was Sean Young, who was listed as the star. Two questions: (1) Anyone know if "Before I Say Goodbye" will be re-aired soon?; and (2) Did this scene also occur in Mary Higgins Clark's book, or was this one of those too-rare divergences from book in our favor? |

What a bummer!!! I'll have to think awhile before I can remember a scene (if you want to call it that) that was such a fizzle. I realize one of our friends clued us in a couple of weeks ago not to expect to much, but he didn't say it was just a zero. Christ all there was was her rolling around on the ground from a distance. You couldn't even tell it was the beautiful Amanda. Then that long distance shot of them removing the tape was worthless. I'm not even going to bother safe this piece of crap. All we have is that great photo to tease us with what might have been a great scene. |
