Tuesday March 11 00:14:42 2003 Re: Shudder Pulps |
> I huder to think about it
Ha! I have that Shudder Pulps book. I picked it up in a Tennessee flea market. I remember how the old southern ladies there couldn't figure out what the price was on it, so they asked all around. It was somewhat embarrassing, considering the obvious subject material on the cover. I just wanted to pay for it and get out of there. I paid my $2 without incident, and now it's just a funny little story. Good book, though. Lots of nice pics, and a good look into the lives of the guys who wrote those pulps. |

There is a post in the database also. http://us.imdb.com/Title?0076653 I can add the bound people are terrorists and the kidnappers are foreign workers on petrol wells. At the end of the movie they help the bad guys escape. |

Another view of the cover is available at the "homepage" link below -- and some of the other comic covers on this page may also be of interest. In fact, while I only had a few minutes to look around at the site below, it seems to be *very* bondage- and damsel-friendly (for you comic/superheroine fans). |

Tuesday March 11 01:37:39 2003 Short scene in "Gunmen" |
There is a short scene with Rena Riffel, in a wedding dress, tied and gagged being put into a coffin and buried alive. She squirms and moans a lot. It takes place within the first 10 mins of the movie. If anyone has pics of this scene, please post them. |

I posted the original alert, just to alert people the remaining episodes were resuming and we won't likely get a second chance at these shows. The second post was a hoax. Obviously a post like that is bogus since it was never mentioned on discussion. |

> * The scene lasts only 16 seconds across three shots. * There are no close-ups, and Sobieski is partially obscured by beams or out of frame for most of the time that we do see her (as are her bonds). * No gag. > The cap below is literally about the best one I could choose. While I have great respect for John Dahl, he really missed an opportunity with this one. ---------------- Raffish, Thanks again for your efforts on the Cap! You're telling me it was a missed opportunity... lovely Leelee in leather cuffs (my attempt at alliteration) in the hands of a psycho. Not sure why John Dahl would've gone thru the effort to set up a DiD peril that would've stood it apart from movie cliches, then not have featured it in the filming. By contrast, Michelle Bronson's leather cuffed & Ballgagged in the car trunk scene in Tales of the Crypt's "King of the Road" episode was brief, but was well-lit. |

dark:
I have one of Moviefan's old caps from Demonicus at AOH Central (link below). Just go to the fourth page in the "movies" directory under "Images". I dont think anyone's posted a clip of these scene yet, but I'm thinkin of sending this DVD to Raffish. Check my email Raf. |

Tuesday March 11 07:02:07 2003 Database entries |
Someone is entering scenes in the database with the phrase "based on screen captures".
Can that person tell us where they are seeing these screen captures? Thanks. |
Tuesday March 11 10:19:57 2003 I love it when this happens |
After reading about the 'Combat Killers' scene on this page I went to the video store 'cause I know I've seen the cover before. I found it quickly thanks to the store's alphabetic arrangement,(don't ya luv it?!). As these stores always have specials (you know, rent 43 films for 56 days for a buck, well, you know what I mean),I quickly grabbed a few more titles indiscriminately 'cause I wanted to get home fast to watch the scene. One of the other films, titled 'Hotwired' to my absolute delight, also had a good scene in it, details of which I've submitted to the database. So I got a double dose of action. I love that when it happens. Incidently the 'Combat Killers' scene is real good, though it was mentioned that the damsel was gagged on screen which she wasn't in this particular copy. I don't have the facility for capping though guys, sorry. |

Tuesday March 11 10:51:28 2003 The Practice |
Looks like Lara Flynn Boyle is targetted by a killer. I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up captured and B&G since I doubt the writers would go back to the tired plotline of having her shoot him. |
Tuesday March 11 10:59:44 2003 Re: Veritas: the Quest |
The show sucks and will be cancelled at any time. At least Cobie will always have that awesome scene in Special Unit 2. |

The first hour of a 90-minute Las Vegas edition of "Fear Factor" averaged 9.8/15 to give NBC a win at 8 p.m. CBS took second with "The King of Queens," 9.2/14, and "Yes, Dear," 8.9/13. FOX's "Boston Public," 5.9/9, was third, while "Veritas: The Quest" was a lackluster fourth for ABC. |

There's caps from this very good scene to be found here: http://htfvidcaps.dyndns.org/masterframe.htm Go to "updates", the last update (february 23.), there's 13 pages of as yet uncommented caps. Click until you reach page 6. The combay killer caps are called "iwo jima". Nice scene. |

> Someone is entering scenes in the database with the

I see the screen captures in my own collection, because I am indexing it now, and I check all scenes in the DB- episode and actress names etc. Then I find a number of scenes that are not in the DB. I have the word from the DB editors that it is OK to enter scenes when all you have is caps- meaning you know little about the storyline, plot and so forth. As to where I got them all from, well some from capper's websites, the ones we all know, many are Moviefan caps from usenet (ABPEB). I collected for about one year. If you want any particular caps, mail me I send them to you. |

Lara Flynn Boyle is extremely obnoxious on the show (and in person - what does Nicholson see in her, or see through her?). She's jumped the shark as far as I'm concerned. |

Tuesday March 11 19:10:43 2003 Six Feet Under |
I guess nobody here watches this excellent show. Anyhow, the matriarch of the family, Ruth goes to her sister's house and finds guest star Kathy Bates trying to get the sister off of drugs, cold turkey. Eventually Bates and Ruth tie the sister down to the bed spreadeagling her arms. Lots of nice struggling. Episode ends with Ruth and Bates getting a buzz on from the same drugs they are trying to wean the sister off of. Show repeats several times this week. EST 11:00 pm tonight for starters. I assume she will still be tied up next week as well.

Has there been any TV shows, comics or movies lately that feature a bound and gagged damsel wearing a turtleneck ?
Thanks in advance. |

The scene was a nice little surprise, though it would have been much better if thre had been a gag. |
