I doubt it, since the entire plot revolved around Thordis Brandts murder. Were talking over 30 years ago before DVD's, director cuts, alternate versions, etc. This was a pilot episode for a TV series, not a modern day blockbuster where they have the time and budget to film alternate scenes. The other photos were most likely just some stock shots made by the prop department using a couple of extras. |

Some fine stuff this week, if I may say so. (The random-number generator was apparently in a good mood.) Buckle up -- or the opposite, as the case may be -- for Krista Allen in Days Of Our Lives, Kim Zimmer in MacGyver "Deadly Dreams," Sandrine Holt in Once A Thief "Mac Daddy," Libby Tanner in Pacific Drive, and Loni Anderson and Lynda Carter in Partners In Crime "Getting In Shape." |

Friday March 21 07:47:11 2003 "Spun" plus unknown CD cover |
Hello-
Sorry if this is old news, but I checked the database and found no word of it... I saw a trailer in the movie theatre this week for a film called "Spun." It looks to be a crime/drug caper flick starring Jason Schwartzman (the kid from "Rushmore"). The trailer opens with him and his girlfriend engaged in some bondage play in the bedroom - she's handcuffed to the bedposts. He gets a phonecall that he has to be somewhere, so he starts to leave. She protests, "If you're going, you have to untie me first!" (She's CUFFED, not tied, but whatever.) Instead, he puts in CD of her favortie music and tells her he'll be right back. Cute. The other thing I wanted to mention: I was in a Borders yesterday and I saw a big cardboard blowup of a CD cover with a "now in stores" message. It features the band in what looks like some sort of wild party going on in a hotel room. Among the crazy things that are happening: one of the band guys is in the corner preparing to smear whipped cream (?) on a sexy fully-dressed woman who has her hands cuffed abover her in the doorway. I had to squint to confirm that, yes, she's cuffed. Of course, now I can't remember the name of the band or the album... Maybe I'll try to find it and post it here later. |

Friday March 21 10:04:43 2003 What's the best writhing scene? |
The recent scene is Mutant X was a Loosie, I'll grant you. That half-inch gap between Pratt's heaving bosoms and her "bonds" plus the fact that her hands weren't secured was ... kinda sad. But on review, I have to give Vicky Pratt an A+ for really doing a great job of playing up the writhing element of the scene. Despite the fact that she had to work pretty hard to avoid accidentally freeing her hands from her bonds, she heaved her breasts against those hula hoops as if she intended to break out with sheer woman power.
Which brings up the question -- what's the best writhing in a mainstream DiD scene? Pratt in Mutant X? Or Scully's breast crawl across the floor in X-files? Or Amy Thompson's hogtied floor crawl in a harem girl outfit in "It Takes A Thief"? Inquiring minds, etc. |

But I also was Schwartzman brag that SPUN was cited by the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most edits in a feature film (around 6000), so it be better suited for caps. |

Friday March 21 15:08:31 2003 Re: Spun |
Spun was extensively discussed here a couple of months ago when some of the guys saw it at some indie film festivals. The version they saw featured Chloe Hunter bound naked and spreadeagled on a bed, also tapegagged and blindfolded with tape. There were some trailers of the scene, and you can see a cap from it at my homepage link (warning: nudity). It's one of the most powercful bondage images I've seen in a mainstream movie in a while, because unlike Cat People, it's well it. But there was some speculation that the scene might not make it in a mainstream release. We'll see. |

Friday March 21 17:51:29 2003 Re: What's the best writhing scene? |
Showing my age again:
Maureen O'Hara in The Black Swan: hands tied behind to a ring in the wall, watching the hero and villain fight, but unlike most movie damsels, vigorously trying to get free. Kay Aldridge in Perils of Nyoka: similarly tied behind to a ring, with the tent burning around her, and not willing to wait for the hero to come to the rescue. Aldridge was a champion writher. The scene in Haunted Harbor where she has a harpoon gun pointed at her gets honorable mention, except that you don't see her hands. In both of the above, it looks like the actresses are *really* tied, and I bet they had rope burns at the end of the day. |

Unfortunately many here associate nude bondage with commercial videos. |

Friday March 21 20:21:18 2003 No Spun Spin |
Having been the first one here to see SPUN nearly a year ago -- and report on it -- I feel compelled to address your comments, JN.
SPUN is most certainly NOT a "commercial video", regardless of how anyone wants to spin it. This is a VERY mainstream Hollywood film (albeit VERY unconventional), with many big-name stars (such as Mickey Roarke, Eric Roberts, Jason Schwartzman, Mena Suvari and John Leguizamo). The fact that it's nude bondage doesn't change the fact that it's a mainstream film. In the cut I saw, there were many, MANY scenes of the nude damsel writhing, struggling, mmmphhing -- like no mainstream scene you've EVER seen. But there it is...and it's a mainstream scene. The Director did state before the screening that "This may be the last time anyone sees this cut" of the film. Let's hope that's not the case. Oh yes -- and to whomever said they wished it was Mena Suvari or Brittany Murphy bound -- the actual actress in question (Chloe Hunter) is FAR hotter; prettier, and a MUCH better body (her character is a stripper in the film). Go to chloehunter.com and see for yourself... |

So, are you saying that the scene from the database has not yet aired in the US on Univision so we have two scenes to look forward to? I saw the alert and caught the end of tonight's episode and the only clue I have to the storyline position is that one woman was in a wedding dress. Is this close to when the scenes hit? |

I didn't catch the entire thing. What I saw: 30 minutes in: bunch of hostages with their hands behind their backs (two or three women?). later--most of the hostages are put on a truck, quick shots of blindfolds, duct tape gags. Woman who knows John Doe (I don't know this show, a co-star?) is handcuffed hugging John Doe and both of their ankles are cuffed. They hop over to find a paper clip, and spin around so he can get at it and uncuff them. Moderately interesting. |

There is a very quick shot of an already blindfolded Rekha Sharma being gagged. This was the shot in the preview, and it doesn't last much longer in actuality. A few minutes later, the hostages are rescued. Sharma is shown having the blindfold removed, then the tape. Oddly, the tape was already off her lips as though she had somehow pushed it down. The "hug" scene does feature co-star Jayne Brook. I thought it was rather nice, even though she wasn't gagged. The pair did some hopping together, fell over and rolled around on each other a little. |

If you slo-mo through the end of the John Doe scene, where the gag is removed from Rheka Sharma's mouth, you will notice that the sticky part of the tape that would have been right over her lips had been covered over-that's why the gag looked 'odd' to the previous poster. |
