God. Now we have a "George W. Bush" syndrome on this site. Anyone who disagrees with a long time posted will be ostrasized, tarred, and brought before the Moderator.

TNN Changes Name to Spike
NEW YORK (AP)

Struggling TNN - which just two years ago changed from The Nashville Network to The National Network- announced Tuesday that, effective June 16, it will call itself Spike TV and become the first network aimed specifically at men.

"We just like the idea of having a guy's name," said Albie Hecht, network president. "We thought that was smart and fun and irreverent."

Lifetime, Oxygen and the Women's Entertainment network all seek female viewers. Although outlets like ESPN have a mostly male audience, Hecht said Spike TV is the first to explicitly identify this as a goal.

The switch also enables TNN, and parent company Viacom, a chance to outmaneuver the publishers of Maxim magazine. Dennis Publishing is developing a cable channel called the Maxim Entertainment Network, or MEN.

Despite the name, Hecht promises the network will be no He-Man Woman Hater's Club.

"We'll be unapologetically male," he said. "But it will also be a place where women are welcomed."

Identity
In the trailer for this upcoming movie, I saw one or two scenes with sneaker-clad feet bound at the ankles. Does anyone know whether these feet belong to a comely Damsel in Distress, and, if they do, whether she is gagged as well as bound?

I don't think that is a female that is bound to a chair. The story involves a group of strangers stuck at a small hotel during a storm. One of the characters is a police officer transporting a male prisoner. It's likely the prisoner is the one tied to a chair.

Amanda Peet and Claire Duval are in the film, both very hot, imho. Guys wear running shoes, girls wear sneakers, so there is hope. heh?

Well personally I was despondent over the fact that the imposibly cute Natsasha Gregson Wagner had no scene in that stupid vampire movie contrary to what the database said.

The cast includes Clea DuVall, and Rebecca DeMorney and Amanda Peet, sorry.

Man, if these two start producing their own action TV movies, might be in for some GOOD DiD scenes, since Maxim at least has proven to be pretty durned bondage-friendly. Might make up for the slack left by Playboy, which has more or less lost its dingleberries completely in recent years.

Re: Odd Coincidence?
As far as Seinfeld damsels, let's not forget Brenda Strong (the woman with the perfect breasts) b&g on "Thieves."

Minor scene in What Should You Do?
I forgot to post about this on Monday, but that new show on Lifetime called What Should You Do? did produce a blink-and-you-miss-it full treatment scene in the premiere episode. It pops right in the opening minute, when it talks about what women should do in the event of home invasions and abductions involving the trunk of a car.

They sort of gloss over the fact that home invasions occur and show a woman (presumably) bound on the floor while sporting a tape-gag in a very quick shot. The rest of the segment focuses specifically on what to do if you are forced into the trunk of a car. The woman who does the trunk scene re-enactment is not bound in any way, which explains why she was able to do things like knock out the wiring for a tail light and other things which are suggested.

Next week's show will feature a scenario in which a couple of men crash a casual party between friends and tie everyone up. What I saw was a mix of males and females seated on the floor with their wrists tied in front, no gags. It may not turn out to be much, but you never know...

It airs on Mondays at 7 p.m. CST.

Also, thanks to poster who alerted us to the Wings over Afghanistan show. The OMPH! sound she made when the gag first goes on sounded like a bird sqwaking rather than the sounds that typically accompany such things on fictional TV and movie productions, and she was a little heavy-set as the poster indicated, but there is a nice moment when she's blindfolded, gagged and handgagged by one of the soldiers.

Maybe we're finally getting somewhere with this spate of "reality TV" we're being overwhelmed with. Sounds like a promising premise. Thanks for the heads up.

Check yesterday's alerts and discussion page to see a little more info. It was a documentary on the challenges facing the U.S. Military in Afghanistan. The part with the female captive was part of a training exercise designed to challenge the soldiers' sense of when to document human rights violations regarding prisoners of war.

Seinfeld Damsels
Also, Melanie Goode (who was bound and gagged in DIE WATCHING) played George's "giant" girlfriend in one episode.

Interesting to note that the vast majority of the actresses mentioned had pretty good b&g scenes, and that Seinfeld was one of the best shows of the 90s (#1 being The Simpsons).
