Monday May 12 01:41:56 2003 She Spies "Learning To Fly" |
She Spies Sunday early Monday 5.12.03 12:05 am est has Natasha Hendstridge dressed as a flight attendent completely gauze head wrapped sitting in a chair. First over the crown of the head and then over the mouth and nose and eyes. When she is drugged and pushed into a wheelchair her head is bandaged thickly and perfectly (continuity error). Later she is dressed in her regular black shirt (was a nice white earlier) and then you cant see her body at all. You also get the feeling it isn't her under the guaze. Almost a classic scene and the earlier shots are very good (played for laughs).
Ironically, Samantha Eggar (The Collector) is a pasanger on the plane and has a few lines. |

Just saw the same thing. You have to see this one to believe it. Is there anything this chick won't do? Nice when she tried to talk through the gauze wrapped around her lips. |

White or pink medical tape is undoubtedly best for the purpose, but harder to obtain and impossible to tear neatly off the roll. Vinyl insulating tape looks good, conforms well and can be carefully removed from the roll without cutting it, though the softening agents in some formulations are suspected of having caused cancer. In UK common usage, tape is only "duct" if it's the colour of metal heating ducts, ie metallic grey or silver. All other plastic-coated cloth tape is called "gaffer", especially if it's black. I remember this stuff becoming available here in the 60s. You bought it by the foot from Woolworth's as carpet tape, with a waffled plastic backing strip. It's still fearsomely expensive here, unless you get poor-quality stuff with little tack. |

Monday May 12 05:15:11 2003 Towel as stick gag |
>Stick / Bit gag
I remember a movie about a former green beret who got mixed up with a south / central America guerilla (led by a woman!). They try to topple a brutal regime, led by a female President. On an attack at a military base, the leader is shot on the leg. The former soldier look at the wound, rolled up a small towel, and put the gag on the leader's mouth. He used a knife to take out the bullet. The leader is suprised and he said: "They also taught me how to take care of the wound". I forgot the title. Anyone remember the scene or the movie? |
Monday May 12 07:06:12 2003 Announcing the launch of 'Bondage Personals' |
It is with great pleasure that Restrained Tastes and the Tied and True Tales family of sites announces the launch of "Bondage Personals"
Bondage Personals is a free service catering for those into consensual rope bondage, whether it is sexual or non-sexual involving scenarios such as DID-oriented role-playing, tying-up games/competitions, tickling games and so on. We envisage the page as a place where the online 'rope bondage' community can meet other like-minded people in a safe, supportive environment for the purpose of establishing platonic cyber-friendships and/or relationships as well as giving people the opportunity to advertise for real-life partners. We sincerely hope that Bondage Personals will help people meet like-minded friends or even partners - and good luck with meeting Mr./Miss Right! All we ask in return is please take the time to read the simple rules regarding the placing of advertisements *before* posting anything in order to keep everything as user-friendly and easy to use as possible. (Please note that the page will be rigorously moderated to prevent abuse and help genuine posters in placing ads that will actually be seen). Thank you! Enter Bondage Personals through: http://restrainedtastes.com/ttt/contents.htm OR: go straight to Bondage Personals at: http://www.restrainedtastes.com/ads/ Lastly, I've also updated Tied and True Tales with 4 stories and a humorous (but true) article on multi-tasking in New York. |

There was a plot where they were captured by KAOS, who made them believe they were in a horrible accident and sufferdd great injury, including loss of eyesight. They bandaged their eyes and had casts on various arms and legs. The purpose was to make them believe they were put on an airplane and flown to another country when actually they never left Wash DC. They were both blindfolded, but not bound. |

Monday May 12 09:34:04 2003 Re: soaps are the only hope |
> > Lately, it seems duct tape use for gags is at an all
> time > > high. I think it makes plenty of sense for all the use of duct tape. First off you can buy it in any hardware store and many many people already have a roll lying around the house, and second its only like a dollar for a whole roll so its very cheap. Add to the fact that its good for both tying AND gagging and it makes sense thats it used so often. Its easier to carry too instead of dragging around several feet of rope. And if stuck on good makes a much better gag then an OTM or a cleave. And lets say a criminal is only expecting to bind and gag one person but unexpectedly there are two, if he brought some rope and a cloth he might not have enough for both but with a single roll of duct tape he can bind and gag both of them and have tons of tape to spare. So duct tape being used so often isn't so off the wall when you think about it. And besides being a huge fan of tape gags I wouldn't have it any other way :) |

> So duct tape being used so often isn't so off the wall
> when you think about it. And besides being a huge fan of > tape gags I wouldn't have it any other way :) Well, sorry, but I wasn't at all talking about whether it makes sense or not to use it so much; of course it does, that's the problem, and it will probably make sense for years to come. But I am happy for you, you're lucky you like it; I really wish I thought it made a girl look hot, but I don't. |
Monday May 12 10:57:15 2003 Re: The Agency |
> Considering the fact our heroine was stuffed into a
> car trunk, a hood or blindfold would be redundant. Presumably, at some point they'll transfer her from the car trun to their lair. They may not want her to know the location of their lair, or the identities of people in their lair, so a hood or a blindfold would make sense at that point. It's not a guarantee of course -- they may be planning on killing her, in which case what she knows is moot. And the director might not choose to show any transport scenes, but just start with the damsel tied to the chair and able to see in captor. I guess we'll know soon enough. |

Monday May 12 11:33:53 2003 Royler's Hub Returns! |
Hello, all,
Just wanted to post a quick message inviting everyone to come check out my re-upped Royler's Bondage Hub discussion forum. Some of you may recall it was a busy little corner of the Web several years ago: life got in the way of maintaining it, but I'd like to give it another shot. As always, my aim is to make the Hub a place for bondage conversation that doesn't fit in anywhere else: discussion of bondage/fetish material, relationships, theories, etc. Hope we can get it moving again. Thanks! |

Monday May 12 13:04:52 2003 ABC TV Movie |
I saw previews for a movie on ABC tonight (Monday) "The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer", which showed a women dressed in an Victorian dress tied spread eagle on a bed. The woman was not gagged. The movie apparently is a prequel to the Stephen King/ABC mini-series "Rose Red" that ran last year. The movie runs from 8-10 CDT. |

Monday May 12 13:31:24 2003 Re: soaps? |
> Are there any soap opera storylines that we should be
> keeping an eye on right now? Molly gets hand-gagged in Monday's episode, as shown in previews, but it's likely the ditry soap trick of the "friend" doing the grabbing, which they should give up because no one falls for this anymore. However, Molly is being tracked by some goons the last couple weeks, so anything is possible. The "All My Children" beauties have also been very quiet lately. It's time for some action with Greenlee, Kendall, Maggie, Bianca and that crowd. I did see a storyline last week where Bianca is being hustled for money by some crooks and mommie dearest Erica busted their plan. A kidnapping plot with Bianca to exact revenge? Wishful thinking. |

Speaking of Cobie Smulders, I checked the ABC Web site last week looking for any trace of "Veritas" and found nothing. It's not even listed in their show list. It'll likely turn up before fall, so we'll just have to keep an eye out for it. There should be at least 4 or 5 episodes left. |

Another of my ongoing (if perhaps doomed) attempts to clip/cap scenes as quickly as Jay L. can send them. Since bonds are implied but never shown, this one may be of interest mostly to fans of handgags, of which there are three (though one is rather badly lit). |

The show was already canceled last month when ABC was putting it back on the air to burn the episodes right when the war broke out, which preempted the Monday airings. They might air the remaining ones, might not. |

Maybe Sci-Fi can step in for the U.S. on this one. They did run the 13-episode run of "Prey" and they could offer it as "new" programming. From Veritastv web site: Producers for the television show Veritas were told that the series was cancelled and all remaining episodes would not be aired. Veritas:The Quest was sold internationally to the follwoing markets. If you are fortunate enough to live in those markets you will be able to see the remaining episodes. No date on when it will air. "NBC, which touted its stable schedule at last spring's upfront presentation, is shaking things up some for next season.
The network has ordered six new series -- three comedies and three dramas -- while giving on-the-bubble shows "Boomtown," "Ed" and "Good Morning Miami" a reprieve. All three earned full-season orders for 2003-04, with two moving to different nights. . "Crossing Jordan" will return in January, allowing star Jill Hennessy time off to have her child. It hasn't been given a schedule slot." |

Tape the final 45 minutes to be absolutely certain. She is bound and gagged twice; the first time, she is tied and tape-gagged while she is being kidnapped, and the second time, she is bound to a chair and cleave-gagged with a white cloth. |

Her scenes occur here and there in the movie. If you see Barbara Eden walking in the dark pass circus tents and holding a flower, that's were she gets grabbed. |

Monday May 12 20:16:17 2003 Bye Bye Cordy! |
Good news/Bad news.
Good News: *Angel* has been picked up for new season & Spike will be joining the cast as a regular. Also, surviving *Buffy* regulars may appear from time to time. Bad News: The Cordelia Chase character will be no more. (Lesson learned: When the beautiful star of your series starts partying all night & gaining weight, have her kidnapped & involuntarily committed to a "health spa.") :-) (Hmm... If Dawn appears on *Angel*, you suppose she might go exploring in the sub-basements of Wolfram & Hart & discover the "Automated Self-Bondage Dungeon?") Anyhoo... so long Cordy! Thanks for "Parting Gifts"... & your vacation on Pylea. :-) |

Similar to what happened with Thieves, canceled abruptly and the remaining episodes canned. That' probably the bigger loss, as it was a proven winner while Veritas hasn't produced a thing. |

Monday May 12 20:46:47 2003 Eliza Dushku getting the treatment |
Checked out the new "Fangoria" magazine and there's a great, if shadowy, shot of Eliza tied to the bed and gagged. In the feature, she mentions "The hardest part of the shoot was being tied to that bed for two weeks. Laying there gagged while being tortured, there were times where my mind started to wander because I couldn't get free."
