Too much to hope that he will go back to the Golden Age, when there was bondage on every other page. Amazon training in chains, initiations at the Beeta Lambda sorority, and yes, the magic *unbreakable* lasso, clearly introduced into the strip solely in order to make it possible to tie up our heroine. |

I love SMG as much as the next guy, but she's all wrong for the part. However, if rumors about Ashton Kutcher being the next Batman are true, then I think we can safely say that the casting agents for film adaptations of DC Comics have absolutely no idea what they're doing. God help us. |

She needs to eat 50 sandwiches to regain a decent figure. 2.) I love Buffy as a show but feel that as an actress SMG has to find a better balance between empowered woman and sex symbol. Somewhere down the road she became very cold sexually, at least in terms of how she potrays herself onscreen. |

I believe this film was released in the US last year?
In one of the listings magazine's i have there is a picture of a woman strapped to a upright table surrace with a mean looking leather gag across her ....Any other details on the BD scenes? This film has only just been released here. |

There was a nice hand-gag of Shannon Doherty on Scare Tactics last night. Now here's a reality show with a decent premise. Let's hope Shannon puts herself into more of our favorite predicaments. |

I don't suppose Lynda Carter has a 20-something daughter... :-(
She just might :-) I'd rather have an unknown playing the Amazon Princess. Any Wonder Woman film will have have a built-in audience, either from the 70's TV show or the comics, so casting anunknown shouldn't hurt. They should go the route of the first Superman movie: Cast an unknown in the title role and hedge thier bets by casting stars as WW's mom and the lead baddie (male or female, inthe case of the latter.) |

Charisma Carpenter or Shannon Elizabeth may have been able to pull it off if they hadnt hit the wall so quickly. I agree with the assessment that WW has to be a tall, buff chick. CZJ is too old now and Eliza Dushku is too short for the part. If the chick from Enterprise was just a bit buffer. What about the chick that used to be the Queen of Swords who is on Good Morning Miami now? |

The killer lures her in to a phony audition then kidnaps her around 15-20min. in. Around the 30min. mark she's shown strapped to the and gagged. I can't remember if they show the gag being applied or not. There are intermittent scenes of her throughout the movie and a somewhat longer scene near the end. The scenes are kind of grim as you'd expect from a horror movie, but not as bad a lot I've seen. |

I fear, though, they won't consider going "ethnic" (although since the new artist/writer team are going for a more "Greek" look for the character in their upcoming run on the title, who knows?). |

I haven't heard from the hosting company yet, so I've put in the last saved copy I have (last week). You'll be able to search but not add, and the editors can't update.
It will be that way until I hear from them as to whether I can get a more recent copy from their backups, as well as the missing posts from the past few days. I may be gone most of the weekend, so it's unclear when I'll be able to work on some of this. |

She didn't look nearly as hot as she did on QOS. Lost too much weight. When will these wannabe-a-star babes learn from J'Lo that a little meat on their bones in the right areas is a GOOD THING? |

Lotza good ideas out there, but we gotta play by the rules. WW/Diana *has* to be a 20-something (& an *early* 20-something at that.) Probably the best idea *will* be for them to go with a new face (& everything else that goes with it.) ;-) I consider this a *good* thing for two reasons:
(1) 'Cause we need a constant flow of new cuties to feed the DiD-mill. (2) 'Cause they can start with the WW origin story & do a whole slew of WW movies for the next fifteen to twenty years! So... My choice for WW/Diana is a buffed, athletic, unknown with Courtney Cox-Arquette's baby blue eyes, Rose McGowan's skin, & long dark hair. PHASE TWO: If they *do* do the origin story, they'll need a Queen Hippolyta. Catherine Zeta-Jones *or* Demi Moore get my vote. Any other candidates? (Remember, she gets captured by Hercules & put in chains (which is the origin of "Amazon bracelets.")) |

How was Jennifer Connelly's gag scene? Vidcaps I've seen from the movie (no gag) show how damn cute she was. |

> How was Jennifer Connelly's gag scene? Vidcaps I've seen
> from the movie (no gag) show how damn cute she was. It was a thick towel wrapped over her mouth from behind by some crazy guy; it was not tied on and was shown from far, far away, darkly lit (hard to tell what's going on) and was on screen less than a second. Not shown again in any way, she was not bound and not really gagged. I don't think JC was ever bound and gagged; just one brief hand gag as far as I know. |
Saturday June 21 15:15:46 2003 Wonder Woman |
For the casing of a 20-25 year old, if they wanted a newcomer they could do alot worse than go for Iyari Limon.
Who you ask? Well Ms Limon played most DiDable character on mainstream TV last year, as Kennedy, potential slayer in Buffy The Vampire Slayer God, all those potential non super powered young slayers , so much wasted DiD material... Maybe she's too small(and she was in King Cobra for christsake) Or they could cast Cara Pifko from TV's Our Hero, (link supplied) She's more girl next door but has a bit of height that many lack and eyes too die for But then she's Canadian so... |

Tessie Santiago had so much potential in Queen of Swords. I remember checking out the previews for the following epidsode during the credit rolls, just hoping she would get into some DiD situation. Never really happened...then the awful Good Morning Miami show. I agreee completely that she didn't seem nearly half as hot as she did on QofS. Oh well... As for other potential candidates... SMG-I just don't see her as able to carry a big time Summer Blockbuster leading role. Sandra Bullock-I could have sworn she was already signed to play WW in the movie. I don't find all that. Don't get me wrong, she is very attractive but you would think Hollywood is filled with girls as hot as her. Catherine Zeta Jones-Now this is who should get the role. She is sexy, has a commanding screen presence, and would definitely put the WOMAN in WonderWoman. All these other names being tossed around are more like little girls when compared to this hottie. |

Saturday June 21 16:32:52 2003 Re: =WW= |
I will cast my usual vote for Liv Tyler. I think she matches up pretty well for this role and in additon, she can act and has blockbuster experience. SMG, IMHO, is not a good choice. She's too short, doesn't have the right build and is not nearly imposing enough. I like the Zeta-Jones choice, although I would have liked it a lot more before she had her kid and her whole look changed.
That said, I personally feel like even if they do ultimately make this movie, it will be severe let down. Call me kooky, but in the case of diana/ww, I almost prefer to just hold onto the original. I don't really see a hollywood movie doing justice to it, but probably just buthcering it. I hope they prove me wrong of course. A synical point of view for a Saturday. Have a nice weekend. Hehe. |

Hehe. Wait a second: I must be on crack. With the massive Hulk marketing campaign and the question about Phenomena, the answer was right under our noses: JENNIFER CONNELLY. Although she's in her mid 30s (I think), this is wonder WOMAN, not wonder girl, right? Angelina Jolie took a comic-type role after winning her oscar (Hey look-she already has one of the bracelets on) |

I wouldn't mind a new face that was kinda Raquel Welchian, but can't think of any. How about Jordana Brewster or Beyonce Knowles? And for the queen, how about Liz Hurley? |

Saturday June 21 20:38:10 2003 re: casting WW |
Oh, come on, there's only one top candidate:
Lucy Lawless She's got the height, she's got the build, she's got the look, she's got the chops, she is looking pretty hard for a good gig right about now I bet. Jennifer O'Dell from Lost World would be a good second candidate. Die her hair black and let her rip. Vicky Pratt from Mutant X is another one who could definitely do the job. Just let her hair go back to whatever color it was, then dye it black, and she's there. Dunno if she's got the acting chops, though. She's done all right in MutantX, but it hasn't exactly been a challenge, from what I've seen. And y'know, Tea Leoni has the build and could be an interesting presence, too. Queen Hippolyta -- Birgitte Nilsson's got the build, but her inability to act her way out of a paper bag would be a problem. Shannon Tweed might be a nice choice. Grace Jones is gettin' kinda old for that stuff. If Hippolyta's supposed to be on the grandmotherly side, Katherine Turner might not be a bad choice -- she's got some presence. Otherwise, Turner's kinda old. Hey, wait a minute. Linda Fiorentino. Perfect. |

Saturday June 21 22:33:41 2003 Wonder Woman |
I adore Catherine Zeta Jones (my favorite scenes on "The Phantom" featured her and the blindfold sequence in "Entrapment" was among the most erotic I've seen), but I just can't see her as WW.
Jeri Ryan with black hair would be interesting--she has the body and the face--but some would say she's not young enough. I can see Angelina Jolie in the role [but see the previous paragragh], but she'd make an even better Artemis--a warrior from the "other" branch of the Amazon family who subbed as WW a couple of years ago. How about Monica Bellucci? She's a brunette, gorgeous, has a fabulous figure and doesn't mind wearing something that shows it off--just watch her in "Matrix Reloaded" in that pearlescent latex dress. Yow! Check out her photo gallery in the IMDB. |

Saturday June 21 23:56:46 2003 Wonder Woman casting... |
Shannen Doherty is a little old for the part... but she's a good enough actress to pull it off... for that matter... why not Holly Marie Combs... or Katie Holmes with dyed hair? They're both young enough... especially Katie... I think Holly is right at 30... but doesn't really look it like Shannen does... I know she's 32... |
