Ooh! I looked at the Natacha drawings at your link (http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Bistro/3118/natacha1.html) and you know who LOOKS a lot like Natacha? Ice skater Tara Lipinski -- especially if she were to cut her hair shorter. Look at this pic and tell me if I'm lying. (She just turned 21.) Those eyes! Those lips!

She might even be able to act. The us.imdb.com says that in the past few years, she played characters (not herself)in THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and the movie ICE ANGEL.

Detective Magazines
Does anybody know if there are any detective/police magazines (you know, the kind that often have a restrained damsel on the cover)still in publication?

They disappeared from the local grocer a few years back, and I haven't been able to find them at even some of the bigger bookstores (Borders, Barnes and Noble). A web search found only one available for subscription.

Titles that I haven't been able to find lately include Detective Cases, Crime Detective, Official Detective, Police Detecive, just to name a few.

Has this lucrative source dried up?

Veronica Lake's bondage scene was definitely truncated in the version of "This Gun For Hire" that was recently aired on TCM. In a previous version, I recall her being bound and gagged and unconscious on a couch, with a villain commenting on how an impending flood would drown her and concurrently remove her bonds and gag. This scene had been excised from the version that was just aired.

Dear Lord that some update, I consider all those scenes at least B+ level and the first two out right classics of the "genre". I'm sure so of our younger members are having the time of their lives right about now, and saving themselves years waiting for the repeats.

In fact I'd go so far as to say the SSJ scene is the best all round US TV scene ever, It has nearly everything.

Here's an answer to the last question (from cinescape.com):

"Marvel Comics has confirmed to Newswire that their upcoming plans to have Princess Diana join the cast of their superhero comic book X-STATIX have been derailed. Diana, who would have joined the team in issue #13, will no longer be mentioned or shown in the mutant comic book. All references to the deceased Royal as well as the Royal Family will be edited out, and the five-issue story arc that was to feature Diana, titled "Di Another Day", will be renamed. The storyline will remain, which was to examine celebrity in the spotlight."

I have a reference pic as well. I did this one before I started using 2-4 pix for reference, so there's only one. Also, you'll need to copy and paste the URL 'cause I don't think Tripod will let me just post the image.

NBC movie
NBC is airing a movie called "Critical Assembly" with Katherine Heigl tonight from 9-11. It's listed as a 2003 movie and not listed as a rerun.

Four students secretly build a nuclear device just to prove how easy it is. However, when real terrorists steal the bomb, it’s a race against time to find and disarm it!

Anyone familiar with this?

Little help?
There is a scene I have been trying to identify. It was a TV series or movie a few years back where a girl was bound arms above her head on a bed at the end. The only detail I can provide is that the villian was none other than a menacing Zack Morris (aka, Mark Paul Gossalar). I tried cross referencing Zack's TV movies on IMDB with the database here and came up empty. BTW, it was not NYPD Shoe (I mean Blue).

Murphy's Law
The British movie is airing tomorrow on Fox at 12 noon. Should be the same one as in the DB. Hopefully the 'Electric Bill' version will aired soon.

Handgag in BJ episode in DB
Record number: 509

Title: B.J. and the Bear aka BJ and the Bear
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Deborah Ryan

Description: Episode: "The Girls Of Hollywood High"

BJ's sister is captured, and is brought down some stairs, hands tied behind the back and gagged with white cloth. Later, she is discovered in a car trunk.

IIRC, when the sister (Ms. Ryan) is grabbed she is intially handgagged. Next, she is shown in several scenes not tied or gagged. Later comes the "money shot" featuring Ms. Ryan brought down the stairs B&G'd. Finally, she is discovered in the trunk, but you only see the cloth tied at the back of her head. I think the gag is removed before we get a face shot. The rescue scene is very brief, and the other scenes are not much longer. If anyone's recollection is different, please post.

I didn't watch BJ that much, I caught a summer rerun of this episode in 1980, some months after it originally aired. I remember that to promote the episode NBC showed scene with Ms. Ryan brought down the stairs B&G'd during the final of the Wimbeldon Tennis tournament. I wonder how many other people watched the episode after seeing the promo with the scene during the Wimbeldon final? I recall that years later (i.e. 1987 or 1988) CBS promoted the Joan Severance scene on Wiseguy during the NFL playoffs. Does anyone remember other instances where clips of a scene were used to promote a showw during a sporting event?

Better tape it since a Heigl B&G possibility isn't worth missing.

There are two movies bearing the name Murphy's Law in the database. One is the 1986 movie with the Kathleen Wilhoite scene. The other is the 2001 BBC movie featuring Elizabeth Dermot Walsh. The picture show from steve's site is Ms. Walsh's scene. I am trying to confirm which movie will be shown on Fox tomorrow, but the Tv listing sites seem to be down at the moment.

I agree! It was a classic scene. There is something about a nice, thick wrap gag. And the re-gagging was priceless!
A major Attaboy to both Jay L. and Raffish! Another Attaboy to Raffish for his weekly clips. He has some real good ones this week. In addition, the caps together show a real nice assortment of gags. I really liked that, too!
Finally, Kudos to Xanatol for the Jessica Alba caps.

This alert appears to be incorrect. As best I can tell, neither Murphy's Law movie is being shown on Fox tomorrow. According to tvguide.com, the 1986 Murphy's Law with the Kathleen Wilhoite scene will air this coming Wednesday on WLNY, TV 55. TV 55 is a Eastern Long Island station that is available on some cable systems in the NY metro area

I have seen the movie, written the DB description and think it gives the right impression: The scenes are of medium length, an edited clip may come up with three minutes of bondage time. I was impressed more by the number of damsels getting the full treatment, and the way the girls are handled by the slave traders' goons. The way the ladies are bound looks very professional.

As for availability, I am afraid I can't help you much. I bought a double feature video (PAL, imported from GB) in a music store in Berlin. Tape turned out to be damaged - bit of bad luck. I have 500 tapes, and this is the only one with a flaw.

Wow who'd a thunk you could find great caps of her whole Descendant scene right on her own website. Shows you really have to look carefully if you want to find caps online ;) And yea I'd tape the NBC movie as she is definately someone who needs more then one gag scene :)

The film was actually made in 2001 and was supposed to air in the Fall of 2001. It was pulled after the September 11th attacks and has been sitting on the shelf ever since. Glad to see that NBC is finally airing it.

This weeks TV Guide
This weeks TV Guide, July 12-18 (mine has Ichiro of the Mariners on the cover- wouldn't be surprised if other regional issues may have someone else)has a quite nice, IMHO black and white photo of Lee Marvin hand gagging a mini-skirted Sharon Acker from the movie "Point Blank". This photo is on the "This Weeks Classic Movies" page, and the film is on Turner Classic Movies this Monday, 8 PM ET.

Also, in the description on the "Hits and Misses" page, there is a brand new Burt Reynolds western on tonight on the Hallmark Channel.. 9PM ET, and the description mentions "a stalwart tracker, a spunky damsel in distress and plenty of gunplay." It does not say the actress playing said damsel, but might be worth a peek if you get Hallmark..which I don't think I do..

If God does smile upon me, please someone grab caps or vids or something of this...I've been hoping AJJ would have a scene since she was on Power Rangers all those years ago.
