Glad you brought this up. I've been feeling guilty about not turning my article yet--real life has interfered big time, even with the summer free. But I will try to finish it over the next few days.

Does anybody have caps for this scene? I missed the show. Hope someone's working on the clips.

I seriously doubt it. He's very self-conscious now about such things. The Simpsons was on during dinner time once (as it usually is in this household) and there was a scene with a typical damsel in distress tied to the train tracks for some reason, maybe it was on the Krusty the Clown show or something. Anyway, my dad obnoxiously said "look, [Jazz]! It's a cartoon girl tied up!" That was during this year.

The Saving Silverman and Head Above Water stuff was years ago. He was aware of my fetishes then but didn't mention them.

In fact, using tying up as humor, or apparently seeing it as humor, has been sort of his style since I can remember. So I can see how he'd completely forget that a scene with someone attractive tied up that he finds humorous, I might find enjoyable for other reasons.

Mary Beth was tapegagged and also was rendered unable to hear (headphones-like ear covers) while directing other members of her team, who were blindfolded, over some hilly New Zealand terrain. The sequence began about 13' in and ran 'til around the 20' mark.

Oy but this is a hard show to watch.

The gag was two strips of duct tape. Very well-sealed with the first strip over the lips and the second halfway down over the first strip and under her chin. Couple close-ups. I think this reruns often during the week if you want to see it.

Interesting quote on the Wonder Woman flick
Reporting that a new writer has been hired to work on the "Wonder Woman" movie, the Comic Book Resources site says that...

"Laeta Kalogridis has been hired by Warner Bros. to whip the Amazonian princess into shape."

You can read the article here: http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=2692

But there's nothing else half as good as that quote.

Rex Morgan continues to tease
Also, today, the discussion about "tying Heather up" goes on in Rex Morgan, M.D. Today, the reluctant captor complains that "We have no rope." Guy with gun replies "There's a roll of gaffer's tape in the desk drawer!"

(Not sure whose place they're supposed to be at, but it's interesting that they BOTH seem to know what sort of bondage materials are and are not on hand).

I'm not laying good money on any real action here (didn't we all learn in high school that the guys who talk the most about it are the ones that ain't doin' it?). Anyway, I'm disappointed that it's not Rex's hot wife June (who went from looking like June Cleaver to looking like Playboy's Miss June overnight a couple years ago).

You got that right. Later in the article it's written that Kalogridis was the writer and executive producer for "Birds of Prey".

And Brian's Pagers know what a letdown that shortlived TV series was (three attractive women, unsexy crimefighting outfits, and an episode showcasing glowy "pain harnesses" in lieu of memorable bondage).

Hello all together!

Could you please do me a favor and make some nice vidcaps of Marybeth's scene?

I'm non-US-resident, so I wasn't able to catch this scene!

Thanking very much in advance,

Heck, it wouldn't surprise me if they used tape -- it's a lot easy to draw & maintain continuity than rope.

And in the 2nd & 3rd frames:
"And after I tape Heather up...Where am I going?"

"Back to Avery International...to get the Real lens!"

Oh sure. The ol' "I'm the one with the gun, so you get make the run to airport hell, and I get to stay with the bound babe."

He should've added--"you could stuff a pair of her panties in her mouth, and use the tape to keep them in there, or use one of her silk scarfs. For her hands, you can use your tie, or a belt, or a scarf, or this curtain cord."

"We don't have any rope" is never a good excuse for not having bondage if you're at all imaginative.

WOO HOO
Yes!!! I hope you all taped it!!
In an undocumented scene Maggie was bound (poorly... hands & legs weren't tied, no gag) to a chair in the first episode of Dark Shadows this morning.

She was also hand gagged and Roxanne was kidnapped & hand gagged twice. He even took Roxanne back to the room where Maggie was tied up earlier...But didn't tie her or gag he at all :((
somehow it was still a good scene though.
Could have been an ALL TIME CLASSIC.

MELROSE PLACE "Swept Away"

The same episode is listed twice in the VCR Alerts, for Wednesday and Thursday. Don't know which is correct.

However, in the initial network run, Daphne is caught snooping around the boat in the final minutes of one episode, and the next one opens with her bound and gagged in the storage area of the ship. She stays that way for most of the episode before bad guy James Wilder pulls her out and ungags her onscreen, likely around the 45-minute mark.

To be safe, record the opening 45 minutes on Wednesday to see if she's gagged. If not, action will start on Thursday's episode.

Pretty good scene, but Daphne was one in a long line of damsels who just couldn't reach those tied hands in front to ungag herself and scream for help.

Well, it is, after all, play acting. Very few attractive gags (e.g., a snug cleavegag) would actually be effective ... so whether the bindee can pull it out or off really doesn't concern me.

Now, if she scratches her nose ...

Thanks for the Friday.

Re: Unintentional "alerts"?
My mother did this a couple of times when I was in high school, coming home from a movie and describing it. One of the scenes she described was in a movie that played Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights at our local theater; she saw it Thursday night. I have never run across it after all these years.

I thought someone said there were girls with their hands tied. If so, which girls are tied up and in which way are they tied up?

Thanks Biff! I guess there are (at least) 2 different scenes in this Road Rules show where girls are tied & gagged. I guess the one with the girls on the bed is still upcoming.

From Philly Ed:

Previews for this Spanish language movie show two separate scenes with two separate women having their mouths gripped tightly by the hands of men who have them in their grasp. One of the women is sleeping and has very little clothing on at the time she is grabbed.

No other bondage-oriented imagery in the preview so I don't know if there will be any tieups or gags.

Why does this feel like a rumor to me? Look, this show is so painful to watch... anyway, did anyone actually see part of a new, different scene? Thanks.
