Friday August 01 01:14:26 2003 Terminal |
I was skimming through my TVGuide and saw a listing next week for a movie called 'Robin Cook's Terminal'. Khandi Alexander is not credited underneath the title but then again, neither was any other actors/actresseses. Could this be the same 'Terminal' that features her lone DiD scene? |

LOL, with a *large* "L." Well, the contemporary Moby is kinda pasty. :-) But if you're casting an on-topic movie version of the Melville classic, you probably go with Anna Nicole Smith in the title role, and change the ending so that Queequeg captures her in an enormous net and shoves, like, an oversized bath towel into her blowhole. I just wanted to support the Britney-as-Daisy idea, and to encourage others with a visual aid and story notion. You know, villainous Boss Hogg stands to gain by marrying off Daisy to his nephew or something, and has to keep her restrained and full of passion potion until he gets the money. Not quite Melville, I know, but a Daisy-made Britney all roped up for a shotgun wedding... Gives one pause. Apologies if not sufficiently on-topic.) |

"LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Actress Jennifer Garner (news) is preparing to stay on the spy-fi TV beat for a long time to come. Sources said the actress is finalizing a new deal that will keep her on the ABC drama "Alias" through the 2007-08 season."

> I've posted the following in the "VCR Alerts": Day: Saturday August 02 2003 10:00PM E.T. Channel: Lifetime Newspaper's episode description: "FBI agent Brooke Haslett (Gloria Reuben, 'ER') gets surprising help in this mystery series based on novels by Meg Cabot. The premiere teams Haslett with Jess Mastriani Caterina Scorsone), a young woman with psychic powers that allow her to 'see' the locations of missing people who desperately need help. In their first case together, the new partners search for a woman who has been kidnapped by an obsessed boyfriend." From TV Guide magazine episode description: "An uneasy alliance is formed between a passionate and hard-working FBI agent (Gloria Reuben) and a recent college graduate (Caterina Scorsone) who, in the opener, develops the ability to locate missing persons after being struck by lightning." -------------- Excerpts from The New York Times August 1 review by Anita Gates: "The screen has not seen such vivid, specific symbolism since Dali designed the dream sequences for Hitchcock's 'Spellbound.'... When she wakes up, it all has to be deciphered." (My translation: Unfortunately, ít sounds like she doesn't "see" the missing person(s)in peril, only symbolic images from your Psychology classes on Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.) "Rather than using flashbacks to introduce viewers to each episode's missing person, as 'Without a Trace'does, '1-800-Missing"' periodically goes to the abduction itself, revealing the identity of the kidnapper gradually. This does help build suspense and create a sense of urgency, but it can also be jarring and viewers don't get to know the victim (a politician's financee, in the first episode) under normal circumstances, so real empathy is hard to come by." |

Friday August 01 14:57:51 2003 lost |
Love Brian's page! How in the world did he ever find that video of that commercial where the man came home to find his wife tied up? I remember seeing that back during a first airing of a M*A*S*H episode when I was a pre-teen. I didn't even know anyone who owned a VCR. How did Brian get his hands on it?
Well, Brian, since your so good at finding lost bondage videos, I have two that I believe are lost to time. 1. Long ago, about 1970, singer Tom Jones, had a variety show. On one episode he did a skit to the song, "Along Came Jones" and a lovely showgirl in a skimpy outfit was tied up to the train track and buzz saw. I was only about 5 but I was very excited by seeing this! I think the girl might have been none other than Raquel Welch. Would love it if you could track this down. 2. Ever want to see one of those sexy, exercise girls on ESPN get tied-up? Well, one day in 1987 or so I just happened to tune in to BodyShaping on ESPN. It was then hosted by Cory Everson who was wearing a rubberband for an exercise outfit. She was apparently doing a show on JUMP ROPES because there she stood with her legs all tied up with a jump rope! She grinned and said, "And heres a review of today's exercises." When they came back she was untied but god, if only I had my vcr ready. Well, if Brian or any of you can track these down, or even have seen them, please post. Thanks |

"Hey guys. i was wondering where i can find caps and/or clips of jenine turner's scene in fatal error. she's really hot and i'd like to see her all tied up. can anyone help me please?"
Biff had a really nice set of caps from Fatal Error at his site, but I don't see it there anymore. Too bad, it was a nice scene in particular the closeups of her face w/ the black tape gag and her eye expressions. Probably the only "bound with a IDE cable" scene in existence. |

> In their first case together, > the new partners search for a woman who has been > kidnapped by an obsessed boyfriend." I just saw a preview for this show & its first episode...there was a shot of the young lady with a piece of duct tape over her mouth, so there will definitely be some tying & gagging (unless the scene they show WASN'T from the first episode, which seems unlikely, as the preview was for the premier episode). She looked to be in her early 20's or very late teens. |

Who knows what's going on in this Italian comedy? For that matter, who really cares? Just think of Cindy Crawford as Penelope Pitstop, and the Italian guys in suits as the Ant Hill Mob, and you'll be fine.

Exercise equipment: Hmm, ever flashback to the "Mother's Day" three damsels b&g'd onscreen to different exercise pieces scene when watching ESPN? |

She looked to > be in her early 20's or very late teens. This would be YET ANOTHER series premiere with a B&G damsel in it. TV producers are soooooooo predictable, aren't they? Which is just the way we like them! BTW -- there have been so many series premieres with DiD's that I have to ask: What is your all-time favorite series premiere DiD? The favorite that comes to mind instantly (because I don't have much time to think about it now) is "The Strip" -- Andrea whatever-her-name-is tied to a chair in her nightshirt and gagged with duct tape. Great far shot of her tied to the chair, great close-up of her well-gagged face, and the neat under-the-car ending. On top of all that, she is a ravishing beauty. All-in-all fantastic scene -- and I lost it years ago (I think I accidentally left it in the VCR only to have my roommate record over it -- can y'all hear me sobbing as you read this? Oh, how I want that scene in my collection!). My runner-up is "Level 9," with its lengthy Leslie Hope scene (three cheers for UPN!) . . . unless I'm mistaken and neither of these is from a series premiere. |

Friday August 01 18:59:11 2003 Does "Reality" bite? |
You be the judge. On the downside, it's one of those short and dark scenes. On the upside, it's not every day that we get to see Max Headroom himself applying a ball gag to a damsel in a fetish outfit.
(Scene is a sequel to "Fantasy" from the same series, which is also on the site.) |

Friday August 01 19:31:19 2003 "Avengers" Completists Take Note |
The unexpected must be the expected, I'm thinking. To wit, last night [thurs.] while watching "Mission to Montreal", a pre-Diana Rigg opus of "The Avengers" on the Encore-Mystery Channel, I was pleasantly surprised by a superb piece of hand-gaggage right at the beginning of the episode. There was no mention of this in the DB, so I've rectified that. Now the bad news: Encore-Mystery has just started a new "Avengers" rotation of episodes, so this little gem will not be seen again for something like 3-4 months. |

It should be noted that any caps that appear on this page have been generously donated by others. While I do have and extensive scene collection on tape, I don't do caps. I don't have the equipment, and most importantly not the time. I don't remember who contributed the cap seen in the ezine article. That being said, I believe I do have the scene. If so, almost assuredly from one of my good old trading buddies Lenny S. or Frank J. > 1. Long ago, about 1970, singer Tom Jones, had a variety > show. On one episode he did a skit to the song, > "Along Came Jones" Doesn't ring a bell, and that's one unlikely to survive. The reason is that variety shows didn't tend to get saved, because they had no rerun value. > She was apparently doing a show on > JUMP ROPES because there she stood with her legs all tied > up with a jump rope! --------- The one that comes to mind is Glynis Barber from Dempsey and Makepeace ("Armed and Dangerous"). Other candidates would be Alexandra Vandernoot in The Highlander ("The Gathering") and Yancy Butler ("Diamonds in the Rough"), although having missed Butler's scene live, I've only seen some caps. Not only did Vandernoot's and Butler's b&g scenes occur in the first episode, they both occurred in the opening minutes. |
