In "Bloodsport", the voiceover says "Hooker must foil a terrorist plot that makes everyone expendable." As soon as the voiceover says "makes everyone expendable" we see Heather Locklear B&G and being menaced with a sword. Another good one was Melissa George's promo on "Thieves." As her mouth is being taped, the voiceover says "before their luck runs out." |
Thursday August 21 00:58:20 2003 Brooke Shields in Bob Hope special |
I was tossing my old newspapers from the past few weeks and noticed the headline about the passing of Bob Hope. It reminded me of a notable scene from a Bob Hope special. Brooke Shields was one of his guests. She was in a skit where she played a hooker. She was led into a police station, hands cuffed in front, and sat down in a chair. The remainder of the skit consisted of Hope and others playing cops interrogating her. It may not sound like much of a scene, but the significance of it hit me after the show was over: That was the only appearance she made in the whole show and she spent the whole skit in handcuffs. |

----------- Would you like to take the honor of adding that Scene to the Database? |

Reminds me of a minor scene I can recall from my youth in Canada -- it was a magic show special on TV starring Doug Henning (who was the late 70s early 80s equivalent to David Copperfield -- only the look was more "Godspell" for Henning than Copperfield's wacky Duran Duran thing -- but I digress). Anyway, Brooke Shields was the guest in this special -- would have been late 1970s. As I recall (scene creep?) one segment was a disappearing act that they decided to set in ancient Egypt. Brooke comes out as Nefertiti and the "evil wizard" ties her to a pole on stage. Then the "good wizard" (Henning) makes her disappear and she reappears free. IIRC the ropes were lame-ish and no gag. Anyone other canucks recall this? |

Brooke looked great in that scene. Another good BOB HOPE scene was from one of his last movies, CANCEL MY RESERVATION. a very young, cute and busty ANNE ARCHER gets kidnapped, her hands tied behind her, and cleave-gagged by Firest Tucker (I think). I remember the first time I saw this, she almost drove me crazy. In fact her charector name was "CRAZY LEGS". Before I got my first VCR I used to scour the movie listings to see this flick every time it came on/ In fact, I still do!! I'm gonna miss good old Bob. |

I recall that scene also. What happens is that an 'Egyptian guard' puts Brooke's hands behind a pole and does an elaborate pantomine of tying her hands. He then loops a thick rope around her entire body quite a few times. The trick is that Doug Henning is put in some contraption and then escapes. Brooke is then shown shaking of the rope. IIRC, the villain was played by Tom Bosley who orders 'Secure the Queen'. |

Thursday August 21 11:39:37 2003 Re: Rex Morgan |
The DinD is shown tied but ungagged while talking on the phone. There's supposed to be an exchange so more bondage is likely. |
Thursday August 21 11:52:20 2003 The Bill |
In the UK TV series, Rae Baker was recently tapegagged and tied to a radiator. She's a bisexual butch biker babe so not much was missed. |

Granted it was no classic, but it was a reasonable effort and Ms Baker isn't without her charms as a DiD (but then I like bitch black amazons :) Certainly an improvement over the other recent Bill scene with Linda Robson |

Thursday August 21 14:14:52 2003 New Spike TV Show |
I saw on Spike TV (Formerly the New TNN) a preview for a reality show called "Joe Schmoe". I didn't quite understand the plot of the show (some twist to it ala Joe Millionaire) but it did show the lead person (Joe?) being handcuffed to some cute blonde in a two-piece bathing suit. I think the show begins in September. |

This did leave an indelible image for me as well...I think I only saw it once and never again! |

Thursday August 21 15:31:48 2003 cancel my reservation, huh? |
I have just recently seen the Bob Hope movie 'Cancel My Reservation' It had a minor bondage scene with Anne Archer but no cleave gag. And according to the data base it doesn't specify any gag at all. Could you confirm this one way or the other, the movie I saw was edited and it may have been missing from the movie. |
Thursday August 21 16:12:38 2003 Re: Brooke Shields |
Pics of Brooke B&G in the 'Seventh Floor' can be found at the Cyndy Preston Yahoo Group site under the heading 'OTHER MOVIE FAN VIDCAPS'. In fact, lots of the other file folders have movie and TV Didcaps. Take a look. |

-------- According to one of the early "Bound for Hollywood" columns in Bondage Life, it describes the scene as "Sultry Anne Archer, hands tied behind her back, is hustled around by a dangerous character." No mention of a gag, so likely the Scene Database is correct as is. In the next sentence, it's noted that Archer is b&g'd in 1975's "Log of the Black Pearl". |

Thursday August 21 17:07:32 2003 TBS getting out of the original movie business |
Some bad news DiD-wise; excerpts from Reuters:
"TBS Superstation is getting out of the original movie business, dismissing the division's top executives and focusing on primetime reality reality series. The brand is being repositioned under Steve Koonin... Koonin previously turned corporate sibling TNT into a destination for dramas ("We know drama")... 'We want to become an active player in the light entertainment/reality business while continuing to make award-winning movies at TNT.' Since...1998,...had shepherded a long list of films that often delivered the highest ratings in basic cable. On Sunday, the shark thriller 'Red Water'... Water was one of the many action-oriented films TBS aired. TBS still has one more original movie it intends to air in November, 'National Lampoon - Holiday Reunion'." As Brian's Pagers know, action-oriented films are much more likely to contain B&g scenes than "reality/entertainment" programs. I believe "Fatal Error", which had one of 1999's best scenes w/ Janine Turner, was a TBS-original movie. |

Thursday August 21 19:15:12 2003 Loretta Young |
Question for the group. Wasn't there a tie up scene involved with Loretta Young? I seem to remember reading it in Mr. Marbager's book years ago. I beleive that it invloved a large man tying her up on her couch in an episode of the Loretta Young show from the 60's. I realize that this question is generally going to be answered by one of my moldy oldie peers out there.
I ask because one of the cable stations is running this show regurly during the late afternoon. EST |

Apologies in advance, since Altzeimer's is setting in, but I think you're right! - vague memories of a scene similar to Jessica Walter's 'Love American Style' - also played rather lightheartedly as I recall - hard to pin it down after 40yrs...... |

The entry in the database is correct. The report in the other post (I wish people would use some sort of moniker, it makes it much easier to refer to them later) is erroneous, mostly likely scene creep. I wish it was true, but it's not. |

---------- I could not find either "Loretta Young" or the "Loretta Young Show" mentioned in Allen Marburger's "Bondage Fantasies in Popular Entertainment". But then, the book primarily concentrated on scenes w/ a gag. |

Thursday August 21 23:07:40 2003 Monkey Boy RULES! |
I just got my copy of FRANK CHO's new book ("Sketches and Scribbles. Book One) in the mail. Brandy as Deja Thoris! (The Martian Princess costume is similar to Leia-as-Jabba's-Prisoner only the loincloth is a flimsy bikini bottom & there's no bra.) Brandy as Cavegirl! Brandy as the heroine in Cadillacs & Dinosaurs! Brandy as miscellaneous fantasy heroines! Nude studies of Brandy!
Van's HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. (May I suggest Bud Plant as a source? Thank you.) ...& to keep things ON TOPIC... on page 13: a very nice sketch of Brandy as Deja Thoris, captured by the one of those nine foot green guys with four arms. She's standing with her head bowed & wrists bound in front, & "Lucky" (her green guy captor) has her on a rope leash. ...& *NO* I don't have a scanner, cheapskate! Support Monkey Boy! Buy his book! :-) "John Carter of Mars"... another no-brainer action/adventure classic-waiting-to-happen languishing in Development Heck. Supposedly Paramount has the rights (at the moment.) Hmm... [Time for the inevitable.] Who would *you* cast as Deja Thoris? :-) |

Thursday August 21 23:24:27 2003 DeltaDeltaDie |
Just rented movie at Blockbuster called DeltaDeltaDie, about a sorority that practices cannibalism. Good scene in last 20 min or so, with 4 sorority girls bound and cleave gagged in chairs, struggling, mmfphing. Julie Strain plays house mother. |
