To hopefully lay this to rest: The reason several last season episodes were filmed with female leads was not because of launching a pilot. Elizabeth Gracen's character was established a prior season. Lead Adrian Paul was injured during filming and could not do several episodes. The producers felt that injecting a temp male lead would make people think Adrian was replaced totally so they went with the babes until he healed. |

Did anything happen on Friday's Boston Public? There was supposed to be a bound & tape gagged scene in the first couple episodes I believe I read. |

On E! True Hollywood Stories:
1. Charlie Angels: #3417: Angels in Chain. 2. Three's Company: #9093: Handgag. Is it possible to put E! True Hollywood Stories on DB? What if "E! True Hollywood stories" mentioned on the original TV series description on DB? |

Dunno if you would regard me as a newcomer, compared to many I am though. The question is hard to answer, there are so many nice scenes, all of them good in different ways. My favorite is usually the last one I saw. The Collector starring sweet Samantha Eggar is hard to beat though IMHO...... |

For a teeny-bopper beach movie intent on attracting a younger audience, the buzz-saw scene is incredibly intense and suggestive. |

You guess the cutie is Ingrid Kavelaars. I am quite sure you are right. I have some caps of her from "Viper" episode "Double Team". I put pics from that together with the pic you linked to, to compare. See for yourself, follow the homepage link. Why do you not put the "Jeremiah" scene in the Database Jeb? regards, |

Saturday September 27 10:47:42 2003 Doctor Who |
Some good news in the press here in the UK today. The
BBC are to start making Doctor Who again, although allegedly it will not air until at least 2005. We are advised that hot favourites to play the Doctor are either Alan Davies (of Jonathan Creek fame) or Richard E. Grant, but no mention of the possible assistants' identities/gender. Just hope that they don't go all 'pc' on us and do away with the lovely sidekick that is as much a part of the show as the Daleks! Also a new one-off historical drama is showing here tomorrow night, one that has been discussed in this forum before as I recall, namely 'Boudica' starring Alex Kingston as the fiery warrior queen of the ancient Iceni tribe (aka Boadicea). Hopefully there may something of interest therein. |

The one labelled texaschainsaw?.jpg is a promo shot from the upcoming flick with Jessica Biel in the Marilyn Burns role. Plenty of discussion on that here, plus I believe that pic had been posted as well. Movie will be out in a few weeks (October 17?). btw, I hope to be able to grab a bootleg video or DVD of TCM then. I have a reliable vendor near me who will probably get copies. If I do score it, I'll post here and make arrangements to have someone cap & clip it. |

We actually see her gag taken off twice, and the first time she spits out a wad of cloth that's been used as packing. Now available on DVD. |

"To hopefully lay this to rest: The reason several last season episodes were filmed with female leads was not because of launching a pilot. Wow: wildly incorrect. Highlander entered its sixth season knowing it would be its last - Paul was bored with the role and funding was getting cut. The season was truncated and producers used five of the thirteen episodes to attempt to establish a new lead for the following season's spin-off, "Highlander: The Raven." None of them worked and so they eventually went back to Gracen. She is not a strong female lead and was best taken in small doses, but I'm not so sure they felt they had a choice. The best proof of this (if you dislike accepting common knowledge) is the way the stories were constructed and the hints dropped that many of these women were about to embark on their own adventures. The Highlander mythology, saved for a few good seasons of the original series, is horribly mismanaged, and forcing viewers to suffer through unworkable pilots when the show should've been in the middle of some grand finale was about the worst of it. |

Heh...by sheer coincidence, I was just adding this scene to this weekend's update. Here it is, along with Mädchen Amick in Central Park West, Melanie Goode in Die Watching, Dawnn Lewis in I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, D.D. Howard in Spy Game "And That Concludes Our Session," and Jane Russell in The Outlaw. (Warning to anyone still unfamiliar with the "Die Watching" scene: while it is widely considered to be a classic, it does not end well for our damsel. Viewer discretion is advised.) |

Saturday September 27 22:13:35 2003 Direct to Video Poster |
Rena Sofer, who plays Sable on WWE Wrestling is lead actress in a direct to video film due to hit the stores Novemeber 4th, according to the video site.
The description tells of several princesses being kidnapped to work in silver mines.. The url attached, hopefully, has the poster there.. a group of cuties at the bottom are being hauled in chains. Perhaps some of you with better eyes than I can make sure, but one, and possibly two of them appear to be gagged. I'm sure if anyone can come up with a larger image of the poster you could tell for sure. Still, it may be worth looking for. I found it here: http://www.mtivideo.com/mti/slaves_of_the_realm.htm |

Very short (under 10 seconds) scene in last 10 minutes, pretty woman, silver gray duct tape gag (again), hands behind, tape removal close up by cop. Is it just me and my complaining ways or are there a lot of blink and you'll miss it scenes lately? I know there's a lot of "don't show the victim till the end" bcause so many shows try to build mystery; but tonight for example was absurd. The happy bridegroom scene after he confronts the baddie on the gurney, and after she says her lines, has him looking back to the other baddie and then to the ambulence for longer than the entire time the heroine was shown bound and gagged on screen. What is the point of this? It really feels like someone is afraid to show "the danger" scenes for too long for fear of being gratuitous. I know that sounds paranoid, but just because you're paranoid it doesn't mean they aren't after you. |
