It is, and tonight's premiere was seriously good.

And yep...the time conflict among these three shows sucks. Curse UPN for pitting David Greenwalt's new show against his old one: I wouldn't mind watching/capping/clipping, but there's just no way against that competition. So, here's hoping that it's "Angel" that delivers the good scenes this year, cuz there's just no room on my recording devices for "Jake," unless you folks on the east coast are seriously good with the alerts -- for which I do promise to keep an eye out. ;)

Wednesday Night VCR Overload
Damn networks! Every year, there's always ONE night where you need 3,4, sometimes 5 VCR's to get all the shows that have good D-i-D potential AND all the shows that you simply like to watch.

Last year it was Tuesday, this year it's Wednesday. Why do they insist on overloading one night and leaving others (Saturday, for example) a wasteland?

Angel
On a damsel-related point, what's everyone think of the current ANGEL babe lineup?

Harmony's ok, but skinny little Fred has never done anything for me and that new gal doesn't exactly ring my bell either.

I miss buxom damsel Cordy already.

Kelly Ripa
On a past episode of Regis & Kelly;there was a
competition for Hunky Husbands and a fireman
showed his rigging talent by Tying up Kelly.

Obviously she agreed to this in advance. Her
comments were "I Love A Man That Brings His
Own Rope" and "I've Never Done This Before,
wink,wink,"

Maybe the angle is like "That's Incredible" when Kathy Lee
Crosby competed with a young escape artist as Kathy and
the artist were tied to chairs. So maybe a suggested variation of this or a "boy scout" or "girlscout"
showing off knot techniques or Kelly competing
with her husband (often a guest host) to see who can escape
faster

Saturday night TV schedule

Most TV and cable channels avoid putting their top programs on Saturday night, because of its low viewership among the prized Age 18-39 demographic. Sponsors aren't thrilled about those persons fast-forwarding their videotapes past their commercials.

However, I wouldn't term 2003's Saturdays as barren. Lifetime's "1-800-Missing" has had something like a 50% b&g DiD ratio in its initial episodes, and its lead-in "Wild Card" w/ Joely Fisher as a newbie insurance investigator I think *should* produce a scene for her at least once during its first season.

Sure, I know that but I think it's BS. I think a lot of people, even in their beloved 18-39 group, would watch if there was something on worth the effort.

Boy, they would despise me with a passion then. I tape EVERYTHING and watch it later when I can FF thru the crapola.

I was speaking more about the big networks but thats agood point. OTOH, I get bored with standard, quickie duct-tape gag scenes and that's all they've had with one exception.

Jay, you sent me a copy of Latin Lover, I'll see if I cna't do a banter of it with caps, it's definitely banter-worthy.

Because "1-800-Missing" is set in Indianapolis, maybe its scriptwriters feel that evil captors there aren't as "kinky" as evil captors elsewhere who use Ballgags, Bitgags, Leather strap gags...

About a year ago, I posted on Brian's Page my fantasy show concept": "Missing Women Unit". It'd be similar to "Profiler", except that because the psychic detective had been kidnapped and bound & gagged in her past, each week she's particularly able to zero in on the missing women if they happen to be gagged.

Geez, in some respects, the producers of "1-800-Missing" came up with something sorta close to my concept.

As long as I get to tie them up, it sounds like a great idea to me!

I posted the above monday. Didn't get replys, but now G-maN has been so kind as to put up a new clip from the long scene. It is from when Conn was cuffed, and the bomb/chairtie scene also shown in the last MF cap..

I still would like to update the DB entry. Can it be true that nobody here has seen the scene and can provide a brief description?

Taste is subjective, and "skinny little Fred" definitely does it for me. Though I did find Cordy attractive -- especially in the "Parting Gifts" episode (wow, what a scene!) -- I find Amy Acker much more attractive. There's something about her big brown eyes (like Rachael Leigh Cook) and cute, curvaceous nose that get me so quickly. Whenever I hear the expression "damsel in distress" or "fair damsel," I think of someone who looks like Ms. Acker. She looks so innocent it's insane! She's very high on my list (which I will post on a later e-mail) of damsels I would most like to see get the treatment. Since I don't watch the show (no cable -- what a dilemma!), I have no idea who the new girl is. As long as Fred is on the show, however, she'll be highest on my "Angel" list.

The character is Katie, not Allison.

Katie goes to Australia to try to find her husband. Chances of doing so are nil because the actor who played him left the show, and there was no recast.

Her idiot boytoy shows up (don't these people have jobs?). They get captured.

She gets moved from place to place. Eventually she's tied to a chair above a bomb. Boytoy somehow manages to break out of the closet where he's being held.

Boytoy cuts Katie loose. They leave the building just seconds before the bomb explodes.

Lame special effects occur. Lame dialogue follows.

The show goes on ...

Everyone was too frustrated by the lack of a gag.

All right, I may take a try at it in the next couple of days. I'd also have trouble with the plot so it might take a while, if anyone else can do it first...And would do the "New Hampshire" scene with E. McGovern then.

Btw thanks to Raffish for the "T and T" scene with Joanne Vannicola! She looked real fine and wore that (cloth! Yes!) gag well!

Aye, how about a "1-800-Missing" or "Without a Trace" episode featuring Lindsay Wagner (as herself). She's abducted by a man obsessed by "Bionic Woman" reruns and the "Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!" movie.

She's kept gagged and tied spreadeagle to a bed -- a Sleep Comfort brand. Before he leaves the bedroom, he considerately adjusts the Sleep comfort setting to "35"... :-)

Then they added insult to injury and gave us the guy tied to a chair.

This show is no longer in my good graces.

Ironicaly enough, in today's installment of the comic strip "bound and gagged" a woman is tied up and gagged on a railroad track.

I got that from one of the posters from the search. It's true she lost the shirt at some point

Thanx it doesn't get better than this. I got your info, info from many posts during the scene, 2 clips and some MF caps. I will try to piece it together.

Nice scene I think, then I am not that keen on gags.....

Agreed on all counts except for the "new gal" (Sarah Thompson as Eve). She does seem to have more potential as a Lilah-style "just how evil is she?" villainess than as a damsel, but I can't say I find her all that hard on the eyes.

> I miss buxom damsel Cordy already.

I actually don't. Seems like they really ran out of ideas for what to do with her, and since seasons 3 and 4 were a complete wash for her DiDwise...well, okay, maybe that just means she's overdue for a scene, but other than that, I can't say I'll be all that upset if she stays in that coma indefinitely.

Totally unexpected bondage reference....
...today in "Days of Our Lives." Cassie, a VERY hot redhead, is flirting with Shawn, and trying to get him to have sex with her. When he refuses, she slyly whispers to him..."Oh, I'm sure you can show me the ropes....or the chains..."

I believe the show is called "Knee High P.I." and I have it down for Sunday, Oct. 12 on Comedy Central (I don't know the time as of yet).

Actually, are we sure Nikki Ziering is even IN this movie? According to the IMDB, she isn't even listed in the cast list, but a few uncredited "harem girls" WERE listed, so if Nikki has any kind of a part at all I'd think she'd be in the cast list.

Huh, weird. The picture in my earlier post *was* of Sarah Thompson, not Sarah Michelle Gellar, and thus (relatively) on-topic. Honest!

That'll teach me to link to images on other sites, I suppose. At any rate, here's a picture of Ms. Thompson that's guaranteed not to spontaneously change into something else.

did that scene from this movie that was posted on the "alerts" page every materialize? Saskia Reeves was supposed to be tied & gagged in a chair near the end of part 1. I watched the entire last hour of the episode and did not see anything at all. I have rented this movie twice and the bondage scene was always missing. did the version Sci-Fi showed have the scene intact, or was in cut like the video release? Or did it occur closer to the beginning of Part 1 or maybe in a different part (2 or 3)? thanks, RR
