Actually, I'm French, and I do own this DVD, which came out 2 weeks back in France. What's depicted by Van is what happens in this excellent movie (on top of the bondage in it!). The catfight is well done, plus there are a few interesting parts for us (I think the French director has visited a few sites, he he). The "making of" part is an hour long and has a VERY interesting scene... Though, I wouldn't want to spoil the movie for you guys, so I won't say more. |

Sci-Fi scored a big fat dud last night with their new flick "Beyond Re-Animator". She Spies was a wash as well. Nothing of D-i-D note anyway.

Sunday October 05 11:21:26 2003 Charmed |
I just deleted what looks like a fake alert. I didn't see anything in last week's preview. Could somebody check the trailer at the WB site (link below)? I couldn't get it to load for me.

Sunday October 05 11:45:36 2003 Possible Database removals |
If anyone has comments on the following message from DB Corrections speak now or we'll go ahead and remove these.
Record number: 2777 Title: Kiss Me Deadly (1955) Medium: Movie Actress: Maxine Cooper Description: Tied to a chair towards the end of the movie. No gag. Once again, a movie purported by a database entry to contain a scene has been broadcast on a channel known for showing films uncut (TCM in this case), and once again, the purported scene is nowhere to be found. I'll leave the final decision up to the Moderator and the active editors, but my vote is for a peremptory removal of the entry this time. I really don't see any good reason for TCM to excise something as innocuous as a chair-tie of Mike Hammer's secretary in a Mickey Spillane story, especially when they left in Cloris Leachman's (implied) nude torture-by-Channelock-pliers sequence earlier in the movie (for those of you who've never seen it, don't get your hopes up-only Leachman's dangling legs are shown over the sound of her screams; the torturer walks on-camera holding the pliers afterward, and there's absolutely no bondage shown). This has scene creep's greasy fingerprints all over it. Clearly someone saw some other movie with a chair-tie eons ago and misidentified it as this one, in the same manner that Hazel Brooks' cigarette-torture scene at the beginning of Arch of Triumph was once listed on this site's predecessor as actually being in the film Confidential Agent (some of you real oldtimers may recall how this spawned one of our early bum-steer VCR alert flaps). No doubt this was an innocent mistake-aren't all mistakes innocent?-but with years more experience behind us, and with much more in the way of resources available to us, getting to the truth shouldn't be difficult. And while we're at it, let's clean up doubts about these other dubious ones I've previously mentioned but are still in the database: Record number: 6799 Title: Mars Needs Women (1967) Medium: Movie Actress: Unknown Description: One of the abducted ladies has her hands chained in front. Record number: 1556 Title: Yellow Sky (1948) Medium: Movie Actress: Anne Baxter Description: Tied to a tree and menaced by villian John Russell. Brief scene. The first one was on Showtime a few weeks back, with no bondage-or anything that even looked like bondage-whatever. The second appears, at least to me, to be simply a case of wishful thinking. There's a fight scene in which Baxter is briefly shown standing against a tree with her hands behind her, but she is not tied to it. Be there anyone here with evidence to the contrary-preferably on tape or disc so you can rerun it a few times to make sure-speak now or forever hold your peace. |

> > What was the reason for the pictures? Was there any > talk > > about being tied up in the article? Nothing was mentioned about being tied up. Each diva what asked about what they like in a guy, how they should aproach them, how they should treat them on a date, ect. ect. Terri said she likes a man to take charge and be in control and referred to her self as submissive several times. I don't know if the pictures were taken with the interview or at a seperate time. |

Sunday October 05 12:35:44 2003 re: Data Base Removals |
Brian R...A big enthusiastic OK from me on removal of "Kiss Me Deadly" from from the DB. Not only is there no sign of the reputed scene of interest, but even die-hard fans of Spillane & 50s pop culture & Red Scare flicks would be hard pressed to deny that it's a Truly Awful Movie!

The point is, was there a bondage scene, or was there not a bondage scene. Whether the movie was awful or not in your opinion is irrelevant. |

Sunday October 05 16:36:07 2003 Lost World question |
They started showing the first episodes here in NYC. The preview for the next (second overall) episode seemed to imply JOD was going to be tied arms behind in some dressy gown while her cute little brunette friend (not Blakely, but a younger female character I've seen in episodes every now and then) may be tied/held down at an altar. Does anyone have any insight, because I didnt find any of this in the DB. |

Yow! Just got done clipping this one, which took me a couple hours due to the wall-to-wall bondage. Despite the overly-rapid editing, putz factor, and sadistic plotting, I've gotta say it was worth the rental. Cleave-gag fans in particular *need* to check this one out.
I'll include the clip in next weekend's update. In the meantime, a few quick caps... |

Sunday October 05 17:17:19 2003 Dragnet 1969 & Prince Valiant |
Thordis Brandt will do her thing on
AMC early Sunday morning. See "VCR Alerts" forum. I believe AMC usually shows the complete version of movies, so this will probably be the entire sequence. Also, there were 2 damsels with their hands tied behind their backs & some dialogue in the Prince Valiant sunday comic strip. |

MAV, Pardon if I wax a tad pedantic, but the way you ask a question like this is to first do your homework, like by checking the Lost World web site (http://www.lostworldtv.net/) to get the actual episode title, possibly the name of the actress in question, etc. Kudos for checking Brian's dBase first, of course. :-) ANYhoo... if by "the first episodes" you mean Season One, the second episode is "Nectar." There's no bondage that I recall, but we *do* get to see Veronica (Jennifer O'Dell) dipped in honey!!! YUM!!! ;-) |

Here's the description: "The second part of the opening episode, this story reveals not only the prehistoric beauty, but more of the dangers of the Lost World. In part one, VERONICA, an untamed beauty raised in the jungle by her parents, has taken our group in and offered them shelter. After seeing what jewels the native girl Asi has, Marguerite secretly offers Veronica as a bride to Asi's father, leader of the local Zanga tribe. In exchange for Veronica, Marguerite will receive jewels and her group passage off the plateau. The savage Apemen, however, attack the Treehouse, taking Asi captive and injuring Veronica. As the others look for Asi, Marguerite follows through on her plan but when Veronica realizes what's happening, Marguerite's plan goes astray and she herself is in danger of not only never getting off the plateau, but not leaving the village alive. My clipping/posting work goes in cycles, which is the *only* way I manage to do as much of both as I do. By which I mean, give me a few days. I promise to give the paying folks a decent leg up on the freebie audience. Cool? Cool. ;) |

...and gesundheit! Presenting yet another scene for which Jay L. shares the credit. While I might have to classify this one as minor, the capture sequence *does* feature a naked and wet soon-to-be DiD, along with a decent (if not so well lit) handgag and some reasonably interesting wall art. |
