Thursday November 27 01:10:26 2003 The Missing |
I went to see this movie tonight, (actually yesterday, since it's now Thursday - Happy Thanksgiving by the way!) and I guess it was pretty good by today's mainstream theatre movie standards. The rope gags that the 9 girls wore were pretty much the epitome of lame, as they didn't even make any pretense to silence the girls, who talked plainly and clearly right through them at times. But at least they gave a decent visual. Another plus was there was many different shots of the girls, though none were very long. Hands bound behind and feet bound as well throughout. So like I said, it was not a bad scene considering the dearth of good scenes lately. If only the rope gags had been cleaves, it would have become an instant classic. As is, it was still pretty good. |

Looks like The Missing will be like Joyride where a potentially monster clasic scene is ruined by lame gags (Saran Wrap = rope = useless)

They also use cloth hoods, at least once. P.S.: Happy Turkey Day, one & all! |

It should be the opening sequence. It happens within the first 5 min. A very nice gag only scene too by the way.

I wish Ron Howard had seen Thoroughly Modern Millie or Vegas to see how to properly B&G women destined for white slavery. |
Thursday November 27 12:41:36 2003 Recent Entry- One Favour? |
Record number: 9438
Title: It's My Life (Music Video by No Doubt) Medium: Other Actress: Gwen Stefani Description: In this video inspired by the movie 'Chicago', Gwen is handcuffed and led down a hall by police officers. She's also strapped to a table and blindfolded. __________ One favour? Ask in future when entering Music Videos you'd put the Music Video by the Singer part in top line of Description, Like this: Record number: 445 Title: Street of Dreams Medium: Other Actress: Unknown Description: Music Video by Rainbow __________ Record number: 716 Title: I Get Weak Medium: Other Actress: Belinda Carlisle Description: Music Video by Belinda Carlisle _________________ Record number: 1140 Title: Spark (1998) Medium: Other Actress: Tori Amos Description: Music Video by Tori Amos _____________ Reason for this is trying to line up the entries for the Search Feature. Thanx |

Noticed something whilst at this: Record number: 9438 Title: It's My Life Medium: Other Actress: Gwen Stefani Description: Music Video by No Doubt In this video inspired by the movie 'Chicago', Gwen is handcuffed and led down a hall by police officers. She's also strapped to a table and blindfolded. ______________ Record number: 6584 Title: Let Me Blow Ya Mind Medium: Other Actress: Eve, Gwen Stefani Description: Music Video by Eve and Gwen Stefani They are arrested and driven away in a van with their wrists cuffed behind the back. _____________ Searching on "Music Video by Gwen Stefani" will not bring these up. What I'll do, is edit in full "Gwen Stefani" to entry #9438. A Search on just "Gwen Stefani" would then bring them up. |

In contrast, 1972's "The Abductors" had it right: Wrists tied behind their backs + Leather strap gags. |

I'll be looking for this on PPV though. And happy Thanksgiving to everyone..even the cranky Moderator. |

This was an airing on Showtime so I know it wasn't edited. Is it before the credits by chance? (although I imagine that would be a detail the entry in the database would probably have mentioned). After the credits is the scene of the kids getting ready to leave for college. No blonde seen at all besides the lead actress. Then there is a scene at a frat party. Guy & blonde lead leave party, make out on porch steps. Then Eliza Dushku & her boyfriend suggest they go to the rave at the gothic-looking club. Lots of dirty dancing & stuff, but nothing else. 2 scary-looking guys in masks mention something about "another blonde" and approach the blonde lead, looking promising. But amounted to nothing. Then the car crash, hospital, funeral, etc. By now it's nearing the 15-minute mark. Was the scene before the credits or what? |

If you get soapnet, I would check out soap center. It can show parts of old soaps and occasionally a bondage scene. Today, they were running a tribute to One life to live. It highlighted the villians and showcased two scenes from the eighties.
I have caught scenes from Capital and other soaps. |
