See Sabrina, Teenage Witch (7002) with the 2 aunts tickled. On the cover of B. Streisand's movie, she was bound to a giant baby bottle (1970s). Another BBW is the operator from "The Russians Are Coming (1966)". What about Camryn Manheim (The Practice)? |

Wednesday December 03 09:00:08 2003 Amazon ("The First Stone") |
>...it's a "scolds bridle." The wives even referred to her needing "scolding" in the dialogue. Factor in the need to conserve iron for weapons & tools, & a leather scold's bridle/brank is perfectly logical.
------ However, Amazon "The First Stone" ranks among my top "Missed opportunities" for a logical DiD sequence: A separate B&g situation for Carol Alt. The village women were fed up with Fabiana Udenio's slacker work habits and prima donna attitude, so they resolved to teach her a lesson by casting her into their Punishment pit with that Scold's bridle (given her extraordinarily powerful opera singer vocal cords, a stringent gag was entirely logical). Carol Alt felt the same way about her, but stuck up for her planewreck passenger nonetheless, and got conked out for her effort. When she awakened, she immediately ran to her other planewreck survivors and Udenio's sugar-daddy Village elder to get the "PITA" out of her latest self-made mess. Now this outcome shoulda been entirely predictable for the village wives. What would've made MORE sense was for them to have reluctantly kept the stewardess under restraint. But to illustrate their different feelings towards the two outsiders, they would make her captivity as comfortable as possible. E.g., The existing shot of Udenio weeping in the Pit, straining against the Scold's bridle. Scene shift to Alt, sitting tied to a tree (or seated in a chair someone's moved from their hut), tied w/ scarves & cleave-gagged with clean white cloth. One of the villagers tries to comfort her by telling her "Sorry, we understand you were only trying to stand up for your companion. But we can't have you getting her out of her well-earned punishment till she's learned her lesson. We know you've been doing your fair share of the work, so we don't wish ill on you." The episode would then be resolved when the men return to the village, and discover Alt. When she's un-gagged, she tells them of Udenio's plight, and they rescue her. |

But only because it's involved in one of the main scenes. I would expect a handgag in there too. As for Peter Jackson being a lock for mainstream bondage it sounds like you've only watched one or two of his films. The Lord Of The Rings trilogy despite having almost forgivably commited blasphemy by changing element of the books succesfully hasn't gone out of it's way to provide Arwen with some ropes and a gag to chew on (Yet ;-) ). And I can think of a few Jackson films that do NOT contain bondage at all. Most notably Beautiful Creatures. |

The movie "Demonlover" (with Connie Nielsen b&g'd, according to several previous postings) will open in some arty-type theaters in the USA on December 5.
If someone does catch it, the movie can be added to the Scene Database... :-) |

Wednesday December 03 14:10:30 2003 VCR Alerts for Sci-Fi Channel; Buck Rogers in the 25th Century |
Overlooker wrote:
> For those who weren't aware [nothing posted in VCR Alerts!!], Sci Fi Channel aired a Buck Rogers mini-marathon Tuesday. Featured were the "Planet of the Slave Girls" and "Vegas in Space" episodes. But the main event was in Part 1 of "Planet of the Slave Girls." That is assuming there are some fans out there of scenes that involve a very cute girl [Brianne Leary] wearing a very sexy outfit and being subjected to a very VERY nice and lengthy hand-gagging!! I would have posted these alerts myself if I hadn't been out of town for several days, just returning very late. But I gotta ask whether anybody else is paying attention to programming on the Sci Fi Channel, a truly golden source of material. ... In the meantime, for the sake of the Sci Fi Channel, I'm willing to step up to the dish if no one else has his heart set on the job. ---- Yes, that'd be appreciated. E.g., programming for the Sci-Fi channel is listed in my TV Guide magazine and/or local newspaper for 6:00PM - 11:00PM, so others might also have to make an online search for Sci-Fi's programming at other times for VCR Alerts. The first season of "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" (campy format) remains one of my favorite concepts. In addition to series regular Erin Gray in her spandex outfits, each week some of Hollywood's most attractive attresses would guest star -- Always minimally clad in "Alien space babe" attire. It did push the limits of what network TV could get away with at the 8:00PM "Family time". While any bondage was more for comic-book effect rather than genuine restraint, the chosen DiDs faced their predicaments in their space-babe outfits (rather than the unaccountable change to baggy outfits that's afflicted many DiD scenes). Buck Rogers delivered what (original) "Star Trek" had teased viewers with. And "Planet of the Slave Girls - Part 2" was pretty darn watchable too. Overlooker coulda mentioned Colonel Deering getting captured, and sharing a ride w/ Brianne Leary (both wearing wrists chains in front). And later, the two slavegirl-clad heroines were sentenced to the Sauna-room of death -- but make their escape crawling hands & knees thru an air duct... |

Fanfan la tulipe. Penelope has hands bound behind (very brief, you don't see anything)
In another scene, her hands are loosely bound in front. Both scenes without gag. Could be better, regarding the original movie... |

Yes, I saw the same thing in the preview and watched it again in slo-mo to make sure. It definitely looked like she was duct taped to a chair, with one band of tape at her wrist and the other just below her elbow. Also, if she weren't tied down, the handgag wouldn't have worked. |

However, a scene with a gag and no bondage doesn't do much for me either, because, unless the damsel is restrained in some other way, the gag can be easily removed and is little more than a joke. |

The description in the database mentions two scenes. In addition to the scene with the portly operator, there was the scene with the old lady tied to a chair and suspended from the wall. I haven't seen anyhting quite like it! As the database mentions, if either of the scenes had been with a young hottie, the movie would have been an all time classic. |

Kim is working for the CTU and so is a mole who works for Salazar (the main bad guy this time). Both are involved with computers and communications. During an attempted transmission by Kim the guy caused a system glitch. Kim was supposed to try to fix it, but the guy was inside a control room working on it. She questioned him, but he said he'd handle it, so since he outranked her, she grudgingly left. He did fix the glitch, but Kim was suspicious because that task was not something he should have been responsible for or had the expertise to fix. Also, his explanation of the problem didn't seem right to her, which added to her suspicions. Last episode, the guy was doing surveillance of the whole CTU operation and of Jack's attempts to free Salazar. Kim and some tech guy had to go to the control room and they walked in as the guy was scrambling to shut down the computer he was using. He appeared out of sorts as he quickly left the room. As Kim started to work, she noticed that his computer had not actually been shut down. When the tech guy left her, Kim moved over to the bad guy's computer and brought up what he had been working on. One view was of her father Jack being forcibly taken onto a plane. She was upset and wanted to tell Michelle (who's now in charge of CTU since Tony was shot) what she found. That's when the door opened. Kim thought it was the tech guy and started to blab about what she found. As she turned to face the guy she saw it was actually the bad guy. He pulled a gun on her. That's pretty much the gist of what led up to Kim's predicament next weekend. If the preview of the girl with her arms behind her was really Kim, then at some point she'll have to be taken from the control room past a lot of CTU agents without raising any suspicion. Not sure that's feasible. From my memory of that preview, I think the girl looked more like Agnes Bruckner and the shirt looked like what she was wearing. She's not contaminated with the virus, so I'm not sure why anyone related to the plot would abduct her. Regardless of what the preview was really showing, this scene for Elisha really needs to extend over the several episodes if they are going to have any credibility. Having 2 major moles in CTU is already a stretch, so stopping this mole quickly would likely lead to there being yet another mole, which is ridiculous. |
Wednesday December 03 22:31:59 2003 Love on the Run / '24' |
Title: Love on the Run (1936)
Medium: Movie Actress: Joan Crawford, Mona Barrie Description: Clark Gable plays a reporter who helps Sally Parker (Crawford) an American heiress who flees her wedding with the detestable Prince Igor. At the movie climax, Sally and Baroness Hilda (Barrie) are captured and bound. Minor disappointment, because Clark and another guy manage to get the full treatment. ------------------------------------------------------------ I would say that the above is far more than a minor disappointment. IMO, giving guys the full treatment but failing to gag damsels is, at the very least, a major no no and a supreme disappointment! For similar reasons '24' is starting to bug me. We have not had a damsel full treatment scene since the first season, yet guys seem to end up in restraint again and again. Worse, the guys' restraint sometimes involves the full treatment. Now Kim (who looks less attractive than before with her new haircut) has been captured, but in one of those darn soundproof rooms, so I doesn't seem like she will get the gag. I really hope I am wrong. I guess we will find out next week. |

You're not kidding, if even her mother (Eva Marie Saint) had been in the scene tied back to back and gagged with Carl Reiner, then front to front, instead of the old lady, it would have been the scene of the century. Easily the longest b&g scene (screen time) in mainstream history; the whole point of the comedy was that they couldn't get loose no matter how much they rolled around, so the longer they went the funnier it got... unbelievable wasted opportunity. |
Wednesday December 03 23:59:52 2003 Days Of Our Lives possibility |
A storyline that has been going on for some time now involves a serial killer. So far, 4 characters have been killed off. Previews say that "the Salem serial killer will finally be revealed." In the preview for tomorrow's episode, somebody comes up behind "Marlena" (Deidre Hall)and whips a scarf around her throat. Hopefully, this attempted murder will get interrupted and she will end up getting bound and gagged instead. Deidre Hall needs a new bound-and-gagged scene! |
