Wednesday January 14 00:30:32 2004 JUST SAW THE DEIDRE HALL SCENE |
I live in Canada so I get Days a day earlier. Everything said happened. The handgag scene occurs at the 11 min. mark. The blindfold (black)and OTM gag (also black) occurs about 22 min. in. Deidre does some gagged whimpering. The scene runs for about a minute and a half before John takes and leaves off the gag. |

I don't understand why some people go into great detail of how someone was gagged, without mentioning how, or even that, they were tied. The anonymous poster here simply proved the point in my last message - if you mention all the details at once, it would help a lot of people. |

By the way, another one of Ed McBain's mystery novels also features an excellent bondage scene. It is entitled "So Long As You Both Shall Live". Its plot concerns the kidnapping of the bride of a policeman from her bridal suite on her wedding night, almost immediately after she has exchanged wedding vows. She is a successful model who is the object of obsession of a deranged stalker. She is chloroformed by him, and when she regains consciousness, she finds herself bound and gagged on a mattress on the floor of a darkened apartment. Her wrists and ankles are secured with a rather conventional means of restraint, always dependable white rope, and she is gagged with white surgical tape over her mouth. The type of gag is rather appropriate, considering the fact that her stalker is a failed medical student. If this plot sounds familiar, it's because the book has already been made into a movie, "No Time To Die", a Columbo movie featuring Joanna Going as the damsel in distress. |

Wednesday January 14 12:10:09 2004 "Living it Up!" repeat |
I think the Jan. 22nd episode may be the one where Ali gags herself. It's a repeat and the guest is Mr. JAG so you may want to mark the calender.(I've marked the VCR Alerts Page.) |

Just saw the show for the first time and was thinking "do they ever run repeats?" Ali is so hot, just super cute. I'm setting the VCR today. Thanks, G-Man. Also worth a look, maybe, is CSI this Thursday. The victim is a double of Jorja Fox, and the Peterson character tries to solve the case after being overwhelmed by the resemblance. Longshot, but Jorja Fox is due for something. |
Wednesday January 14 16:32:08 2004 Minor Cartoon Bondage on OLTL |
On today's episode, Star has another cartoon (South Park-type animation) fantasy about court. Note: The plot is all speculation since I forgot to hit record on the VCR and my clip doesn't have sound. Star is on trail, and Nora (I guess) is questioning her. Suddenly Nora is gagged and bound hand and foot. After a while the judge starts literally crying a river (actually, it might be considered more of a pond.) Nora rises up tips over and floats offscreen. |

Very good scene for Deidre Hall today, complete with closeup. It could have been better, but don't we always think that? I'm glad that the blindfold was taken off BEFORE the gag. It's about time that Deidre got it again! |

We saw the part where the guy says "Sorry, Doctor" and then they fade to a commercial. Was her gag still on in the next scene, or had he removed it off-camera? |

Fred is about to call Angel when she is knocked out by Harmony who is a vampire. Next they show Fred gagged with ducttape and shoved into a janitors closet. There are 2 putzes but I think Fred looks cute in her lab coat. CHECK IT OUT NOW...SHE HASN'T BEEN UNGAGGED YET SO THERE MIGHT BE MORE |

Wednesday January 14 22:10:46 2004 My Thoughts about the "Angel" scene |
It was short but as Van said we are a beast that cannot be fed. It was very nice surprise. The fact that they don't show anyone gagged until Fred is caught and gagged is kinda of a nice touch but zero putz factor would have been nice. I liked the struggling and mmphing as she is shoved in the closet. In more general terms, the scene as well as the entire epidsode was kinda played up for laughs. |

Jazz, I understand your frustration on some of these occassions. I sometimes feel the same way when someone just says "gagged" in a description. BUT! You have got to remember that these are television scenes, not bondage movies. You just jumped down a posters throat, IMHO, for not describing how Deidre Hall was tied. Well guess what? They never SHOWED how she was tied. No shots of her hands. No shots of her feet. No ropes visible anywhere. In other words, she sat down in a chair and put her hands behind her back. But guess what? As usual, they did show her face. So you got to see a black blindfold and a black detective gag. And that is one reason that gags so often get described when ropes don't on tv. You can see the gag. Very often you don't get to see anything in the form of rope because there isn't anything to see. Or even if there is, the scene might not show it. Your stance seems to automatically assume that a poster is leaving out details you want when there often are not many more details there to add. While a line like "no ropes shown" might easily enough be added, I think most of us should just be grateful that we were alerted to a scene in the first place. I consider folks that post and alert me about scenes I didn't know were coming to be doing me a favor, and it seems downright ungrateful to criticize them when the quality of their favor might be less than I hoped. My opinion. Your mileage may vary. |

I know the "you're always in the people business" idea - that being polite even when you're frustrated usually yields the best results. But I'm also trying to make a point that people should mention the ropework and such details at all times, even if they themselves couldn't care less about ropework. I remember a couple weeks back someone reported excitedly on the Peter Pan movie multiple scenes, and described the gags in vivid detail with no mention whatsoever of the ropes. Which was just plain ridiculous, considering that the ropework was different for each scene, and it would be impossible not to notice. I think there's no excuse for *that* at least. As for the Deidre Hall scene, you're right - if all we saw was her gagged face and nothing else then many might think "she's gagged" rather than "she's gagged but no ropes visible". I apologize for assuming too much, but I also assumed too much because of my past experiences with the "who cares about bonds?" people. I'll try to be more polite in the future, but I'll also try reminding people to describe all they know of the scene instead of just what appeals specifically to them. |
