Whomever Posted Entry [9756]
Record number: 9756

Title: Volt
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Unknown

Description: It opens with a closeup of an attractive blonde (the show's host at the time), gagged with a red bandanna between her teeth. Her captor removes it to talk to her and give a kiss. His female accomplice arrives and we get a longer shot and see that she is tied to a chair, her arms tied down to the chair arms. He regags her.

The accomplice indicates something about strangling the captive, but the male captor protests. The female then ungags her, gets some folded towels and places one under each of the captive's hands so she can feel them, indicating which is softest. It then goes to a end scene of a box of Volt detergent. It's sort of a fake commercial.

Is this Nadyne Kasta (sp?) off the TVOntario-French channel Volt show?

Repeat all the time, may have a chance at catching for the collectors. Thanx

I don't know, I got it off a tape sent to me. List just
said, Unknown (TV Host). I tried to find links for the
show that had pics of past hosts but didn't come up with
anything.

Many sites were en Francais, so hard for the boy to
navigate, you know what I mean :)

If you find some, let me know and I'll take a look.

I remember reading that back when I'd been checking out Grimbor's comics page before (he also runs a cartoon page as well). It's very interesting - an entire story centered around the idea of "one terrible thing happens after another", which naturally includes being tied up (as part of far worse scenarios). Actually a fun idea for a story in my opinion - who says all stories have to be logical in order to be fun? Disappointed it didn't have a true ending, though.
Very nice artwork too. Amazingly realistic style. I think it's worth checking out for anyone who wants to see a bunch of contrived, but fun, scenarios one after another.

I don't have an "all time best," but one damsel I thought was particularly good whom I never see mentioned around here (for Mmmphing, that is) is Elisha Cuthbert in the first season of 24.

A scene from an obscure and forgettable slasher film comes to mind for me when I am posed this question. The movie was "Open House", and the actress was Christina Gallegos. It was about a disgruntled home buyer who was murdering good-looking real estate agents.
Christina Gallegos is knocked unconscious, and then dragged away. When she awakens, she is bound and gagged in the basement of the house she was supposed to show to a prospective buyer. Her wrists are tied to a pillar, with her elbows bent back, and she is gagged with a strip of duct tape placed over her mouth. She struggles very energetically and makes multiple "mmph" sounds to protest her predicament before she is electroculted.

Interesting Item
BURBANK, Calif. - Britney Spears (news) looks good in skimpy clothes. But can she match wits and brawn with Pierce Brosnan (news)'s 007? The television show "Extra" reports Spears recently met in London with the producers of the James Bond movies.

"Extra" says it was Spears who requested the meeting. If Spears were to play a Bond girl, she'd be in good company

Two that stand out for me:

1. Deborah Walley in Ghost in the Invisible Bikini. The mmphing seems to go on forever.
2. Norma Randall in the 3 Stooges "Spooks" short. This one is a real holy grail for me.

"24" Anti-alerts
AICN just posted "spoilers" for the remainder of this season's "24", at:

http://www.aint-it-cool.com/display.cgi?id=16928

Being a bit of a geek, I don't want to read it, but did search for words like "kidnap", "tied", "bound", etc., and came up with nada. Looks like Kim's done, at least till next season.

My edited clips run 2:13 for Blood Ties and 1:02 for Facing the Enemy. (I haven't clipped the other two yet, since In Dreams kinda rubbed me the wrong way, and Fear...okay, I should probably get around to that one.)

Joan Collins
Title: Tonight At 8:30 (1954)
Medium: TV Movie

Description: adaptation of Noel Coward stageplay. Movie starred Valerie Hobson. In this tv play, Joan Collins and hubby get Tony Slattery to stage a robbery to their mutual advantage. He ties them back to back with scarves and ties and gags them as well. Joan, while gagged, even beckons Slattery to bind her legs too!

Does anyone have this scene and if so, can they post pics or even better a clip of the scene on one of their websites? I can not find this anywhere... Thank you in advance.

A memorable one for me was "Red Sun" (1971), with Ursula Andress cursing away thru her over-the-mouth gag. Spiriting her away on horseback were Charles Bronson and Toshiro Mifune -- Three top screen stars in a classic Western moment.

I've never seen the Connie Sellecca scene capped. It was a good one despite male interferrence. There is one cap of Rebecca Staab from the 2-hour pilot, plus 1 cap of her scene in another movie in the Top Actresses folder. PSI scene is photo 132, the other is in there somewhere. Group is age restricted, so you need an age in your Yahoo profile to join and you can't get in instantly, you've got to be approved.

That Rebecca Staab scene is a holy grail, i don't think anyone has that whole scene, i know i don't. I hit the record button on that pilot episode back in 1991 right after she is rescued and walks out of the bedroom in her sexy outfit. Damn ! It was a great scene too, probably one of the sexiest ever. See database. I did manage however to record the scene with Connie Sellecca bound and gagged with the putz partner of hers. It is an ok scene, not as good as Ms Staab's though. If i knew how to transfer video tape on to a computer for avi files or movie files i'd of done it by now and have my own website up and running because i have some scenes on tape that most of you do not have.

very big let down, as expected, tonight. Lana is chloroformed around the halfway point. A little while later, we see her and Megan (guest star) sitting down tied to posts in an old house. You can see Megan's ankle ropes okay (not close up) but they never show her wrists. Lana's ankle ropes are harder to see. There's one quick shot of her tied wrists and that's it. Both are in jeans and wearing coats.

I just scanned through that web link looking for mentions of Kim (I'm also a 24 geek and didn't want to ruin it for myself by reading all the details). You are correct that it doesn't mention any scenes for Kim. However, that site only listed spoilers through episode 15. That still gives us hope for the final 9 episodes.

Strangely enough, I recorded that movie for 2 simple reasons. Rebecca Staab and Connie Sellecca. The movie aired shortly after Rebecca left daytime TV for a shot at the big time (with very mixed results, although she's been working ever since, so I guess she made it, just not big time). I used to watch "Guiding Light" faithfully just to see the two hottest soap babes back in 1985-86, Rebecca and Krista Tesreau. The "PSI" scene was disappointing for me. Rebecca was grabbed in the opening minutes and not seen until the last 15 minutes. In between, it's obvious she's going to be found alive. The scene did feature a nice pan shot of Rebecca tied hand and feet in an orange dress and struggling on a bed, but the tape gag was lame, a strip of the Johnson & Johnson thin medical tape that barely covered her lips. I didn't even save the scene, but later I realized I likely made a mistake with that decision.

Good 1-liner from female villain Dee Wallace Stone. After she enters the room and sees Rebecca's tape-gag loose and she spits out packing, she says "Been busy, huh?" She then stuffs some cotton balls back in and gags her again with the thin tape.
