I found and watched the clip on Kerhop's Captures.
What an astonishing pair of levitating loosies. No wonder the damsels didn't struggle at all; one heavy breath would have blown their gags clean off! I don't know how they stayed up at all. A pity, as I think those ladies would have looked great with tighter muffles knotted at the nape instead of clinging precariously to the occiput. |

Saturday March 27 11:33:47 2004 Once again I beg your indulgence, ladies and gentlemen... |
...and ask you to ponder the question of whether the following would be an appropriate database entry.
"Record number: 10,000 and some change Title: Green Hornet, The Medium: TV Series Actress: Wende Wagner Description: Episode: "Invasion from Outer Space, Part 1" (1.24) (1967) Near the end of the episode, she gets thrown onto the inclined conveyor belt of an incinerator. The left sleeve of her classic 1960s paisley minidress-accessorized with a wide white belt and black knee-length boots-somehow gets caught at the conveyor's edge (it's shown in a brief close-up, but just how it's snagged, or to exactly what, is hard to see) and she's pulled, struggling, up towards the fiery opening at the top as the Hornet and Kato have it out with the bad guys. At the last moment, the Hornet rushes up a ladder and pulls her wrist free as Kato manages to stop the belt." Okay, maybe the clothing details were a little overboard, but I trust you all see the real issue here-is this "bondage enough," so to speak, to qualify? Granted, it's not like someone intentionally secured her to the belt-by the way, how would you do that?-but she found herself in a perilous situation that was getting more perilous by the second and that, try as she might, she couldn't escape-at least not on her own. And it's true that it reinforces the now-unfavorable "helpless female" stereotype more than a scene where someone else really tied her up would have, but then again, it does date from nearly four decades ago. I bring this to the court of your opinions because a few years back, I mentioned a scene from "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" where Diana Hyland played a character that got into a similar bind (she fell down a flight of stairs, as I recall, and got her wrist wedged into the bannister somehow, leaving her helpless as a deranged youth menaced her with an electric drill) and I think the consensus then was that it shouldn't go in. Perhaps given several more years of acquescence to numerous handgaggings, chloroformings, gagged-but-not-bound sequences and at least one scene I know of where an actress-Joan Collins-is locked in a cage with no bondage whatever, Wagner will find a more sympathetic jury than Hyland did. And, you know, it's funny we should be mentioning both Hyland and the "Green Hornet" series at the same time. Notwithstanding what we decide about Wagner, she and Susan Flannery were the series' only female bondagees if the database is right. More meaningless trivia: Wagner, according to the IMDb, was born December 6, 1941. Seeing that makes me wonder if she-and a lot of other people-might have actually been born a day later and either had their birth records fudged a bit by sympathetic parents not wanting their children's birthday to coincide with "a date that will live in infamy," in FDR's immortal words, or perhaps did their own fudging years or decades later. If Wagner did do it herself, she merely would have been following the lead of others like the recently deceased Mercedes McCambridge, Joan Crawford's tormenter in "Johnny Guitar" and the voice of the demon possessing the spreadeagled Linda Blair in "The Exorcist." Actually born on March 16, 1916, she claimed for most of her life to have been born on March 17-St. Patrick's Day-two years later. (The discrepancy was exposed when news organizations reported what they thought was her 86th birthday a couple of weeks ago, only to have to retract it when her death two weeks earlier was finally announced.) One supposes, sadly, that those to whom we bequeath all this will have to deal with similar situations in the decades to come concerning actresses born around the second week of September 2001. |

The only other detail I thought about adding was a description of what was used to tie her up, but I'm not sure of the correct term. They were those goldish decorative rope-like things with tassles that adorn curtains, upholstery etc. What are those called anyway? Hmmm... What ARE those kind of ropes called?? VAN!!!! little help??? (Van knows EVERYTHING) ;) |

A couple weeks ago, there was a post about a potential scene on The Sopranos.
Is that still going to happen Sunday night? I don't see an alert. |

Warrior maidens in leather bikinis appear & clear away the riff-raff with whips. A magnificent golden chariot drawn by redhaired, freckled pony-girls comes into view. At the reigns, his current obsession, Amanda Tapping (B&G'd & dressed in a metal bikini), at his side... VAN appears. He raises one hand... & SPEAKS! "Pat Powers is correct. It's called 'sash cord'." The crowd goes wild! |

If you right click on an image and go to "Properties" it will bring up a box with lots of info including the complete url the image is from. Works in Windows, any Mac users may wish to share the procedure in that OS. Just a tip...for bondage surfing. While I'm posting those are some pretty great caps from alarm fur 11 cobra over at htfvidcaps. Looks like an awesome show we could use here in the US. I'd love to see a clip of the parachuting scene w/ gag & handcuffs. Very cool w/ a hot German babe! I wouldn't kick her out of a plane. ;) |

Saturday March 27 16:59:57 2004 A Very Pleasant Surprise: Shakira's DVD commercial |
Hey guys,
You might want to have your TVs on Telemundo and wait for their commercial for Shakira's new DVD that comes out on Tuesday. They show a few shots that last like 2 seconds each but you have Sharika tape-gagged, followed by another shot of her cleave-gagged and a few seconds it looks like she has manacles(but no gag) all in this one commercial. The DVD is automatically a must-buy for me and if I can manage I'll try to post a few caps. |

Rescue'er approaches with a knife to free the bonds, but the bound lady nods her head towards the right side of the screen indicating her captor is close-by, so she's left in this situation a little bit longer. |

> > those decorative rope-like things with tassles that adorn curtains, upholstery etc. What are those called
anyway? > > > > Sash cords? ---- The heroine in "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1984): The Abbey Grange" was chair-tied w/ the curtain cords, but I can't recall if they were properly "sash cords" (a fairly good probability though, since the Abbey Grange was a wealthy abode). Now, if only TLC's "Trading Spaces" could work in a little sash cord scene for perky Paige Davis... |

Tying curtains up is called swagging, but I'm not sure what the ropes are called. ---- Hmm. Maybe there should be another definition added for swagman (for those familiar with the words to "Waltzing Matilda"). |

That's big news, as Shakira is a MAJOR hottie IMO. I wonder if those scene are from a new video from her new single or if it's just part of the DVD content (whatever that may be). If it's from a video it may show up on MTV or VH-1. I hope so, as I'm one of the incredibly lucky folks (sarcasm here) who do NOT get Telemundo. If not, I guess one can always go & buy the DVD! :-) |

Just a reminder to anyone interested, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 comes out on DVD on Tuesday, March 30th. There is a special edition 2 disc set with deleted scenes, alternate beginning and ending. No DID's in the original version, but, with a little prayer to the DVD gods, possibly in the two-disc edition. |

Sorry if this has already been discussed and I missed it, but have you checked out the former S Club 7 stars' video for her song "My LA Ex"?
Here is a pic from the video plus a snippet from an interview with Virgin Music: ********************* VN: Your new video features you dancing with ribbons, it looks dreadfully complicated, did you not keep getting tied up? RS: "Yes I did actually! It took a while to get used to." VN: Did you think your choreographer had gone mad when she suggested it? RS: "It was strange at first but I like it because it's something new and looks great on stage." VN: So you have a ribbon allowance in the tour budget? RS: "Yes! Tie me up!" VN: Don't tempt me. ***************************** See the entire video for "My LA Ex" at: http://www.rachelstevensofficial.com/music/?mvsec=v&loop=off Again sorry if this is old news, was new for me... |
