I'm wasn't at home when this aired (DAMN IT), so I couldn't check to see if this one aired or not. But the Showtime website does list GTO as playing on Showtime Next at that time, and the episode synopsis does detail a kidnapping. I sure hope this airs again at some point, but it may take a while to cycle through again. The episode that was supposed to air tonight, entitled "Search and Rescue," is the 14th show out of 50 in the series. It isn't scheduled to repeat soon, according to the site. |

I know of at one issue of the Wonder Woman comic book in which she was bound and GAGGED in her trademark uniform, the star-spangled swimsuit. I don't recall the exact number of the issue, but it came out during the summer of 1994, and the archvillain featured was Ares, the god of war. She was bound and gagged in only one panel, the very last one, but it was a full-page illustration. Also, I recall seeing a Wonder Woman comic book cover from the late 1960's, in which she appeared bound and gagged in her uniform, alongside her mother, who was also bound and gagged. I hope this information helps. |

The last panel of one issue had it, then the scene continued in the following issue for several more pages. Pretty rare because it was a cleave gag as opposed to the tusual OTM gags that comics favor. |

The goons could've totally done what they did to Foxy Brown back in the 70s, but they just stuck her in the coffin bound but NOT gagged. There was no other bondage in the movie (which was great BTW), but when "The Bride" is in training, we see a couple of shots of her in sleeveless t-shirts carrying water buckets on each end of a thick wooden stick that looks kinda like she's in the same predicament as (sorry for the putz reference) Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett were in when they were captured by the Japanese in "Pearl Harbor". I hope this makes sense. |

There's also at least one tape-gag scene, from the 40's sometime, which I have a scan of somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it up. |

Just saw the DVD, was very disappointed overall, but was wondering if anyone noticed, or was it just me; because it seemed to be a faithful retelling (reimagining) of the 1973 original and just about every shot and scene from 73 was covered, except, the bound and gagged scene with Marilyn Burns. When they drugged Jessica's tea and she passed out then woke up in a "slightly" stranger enviornment I suppose it seemed "reminiscent" of the original scene from the b&g in the truck to the old man's dinner in the bondage chair... but not really, if you know what I mean.
Now I now I may have been "looking" for that scene and I don't believe some in Hollywood are (very) anti bondage, but it also does seem to be a glaring omission. Anyone understand or agree or do you think it's an unfair observation? In a way I guess I'm just saying, and venting, but it really does appear to be to be one of, if not, the greatest missed opportunity of all time. Especially in light of the fact that there was supposed to be a scene there, and, Jessica is in her prime and was dressed to kill,,, damn. |

What I've noticed is that SF has gotten a LOT better at producing scenes in the last decade or so, although as you've noted the Star Trek franchise has been a perennial loser in this regard. Lexx and Farscape produced some lulus for the SciFi Channel, and I have high hopes for a scene with Six of One from Tripping the Rift (see homepage link). Fantasy has always been the best for scenes -- in print, the Gor novels are a standout, and then there's ALL those B-movies: Deathstalker, Amazon Queen, Barbarian Queen, etc. etc. etc. |

Saturday April 17 14:07:18 2004 Big News in the Big empty |
It may be in a weak situation, and found in a movie that's a ways less then academy award worthy, but it's the scene we've been waiting for since we secretly watched she's all that and didn't tell our friends. I just picked up a pre-release copy of "The Big Empty" from work and Raechel Leigh Cooke gets the full treatment. The scene is not that bad either. It features a red bandanna cleave gag, wrists in front, but strapped to knees, and bound ankles. I capped it as best I could, so don't get mad about the quality, because it's my first try. Pros can find this at blockbuster on tuesday.
*note that it's a limited release DVD and smaller stores may not have recieved it, the store I work at is very large. check the set out at the url above, you will need a yahoo id. |

So far, I like what I see. Since the damsel is barefoot, she fits in very nicely with the theme of my website. So I will have 'caps of this scene in time for the next update. Look for it on May 1st. :D |

E.g., Ming the Merciless in "Flash Gordon" (1980), Baron Harkonnen in "Dune", and the torturer in "Barbarian Queen". We *expect* them to use things like harness gags ("Hellraiser III"), not duct tape and plasticuffs. |

(For those who don't know: apart from adding the occasional request or late-breaking scene, I select clips for the free updates by shuffling my archive at random, then working down the list and exercising editorial discretion. This time around, the random-number gods basically tossed a handful of classics in my lap.) |

There is also alot of context too, like she talks about her boyfriend tying her up earlier, and there is talk about tying and gagging women during the scene. Her boyfriend who she dumped that morning has kidnapped her. The movie actually isn't that bad, so if you get a chance, pick it up, for the scene and the story. P.S. I can rent any movie the thursday before it comes out, so when you want to know if there's a scene in advance, let me know the rumors and I'll check it out. |
