We're both right, Greyman. I had a copy of Angel of Darkness on tape. Goda, the chief bad guy, is definitely a tentacle monster, and gets up to the usual tentacle hijinks with his female captives. His human minions use chains, ballgags and such on their captives as well. It's got a well developed plot and some nice character designs, though the animation quality is low by current standards.

Point well taken. My wife doesn't always "get" my Welsh "sense of humor" either. In fact she doesn't think I'm funny at all. You are in good company. Most of the things I post here are meant to be funny..if only to me I guess.

without a trace
Personally I found the "to do" between Tapemaster & Irritable rather informative. I've always wondered why some people are so fixated on scene times. Usually on a show like this where I'm expecting a scene I start tapeing at the beginning, turn off the TV and go do something else. Every fifteen or so minutes I turn the tube back on and at a suitable point, like when commercials come, rewind the tape back to the scene, if I've caught one, or to the point where I started taping and start the whole process over again. I never watch the whole show unless it's something I would've watched anyway. Of course everybody might not be able to do this.

You aren't helping your cause. We ALWAYS have to sit
through the show. You west coast guys don't want to be
bothered, and complain when you do.

Welcome to our world.

Painting with a broad brush, aren't we?

Speaking strictly for myself, I will continue to ask about scene times ... whether anyone replies is their choice. I do think that if someone who has seen the program is already disposed to post about it here, it's no big to skinny on scene times. I'd appreciate any accurate intel ... even "first half" or "second half" is useful.

I have a penchant for adding these details to the appropriate DB entries ... in addition to whatever info I obtain on my lonesome. This comes in handy not only for us "west coast guys" ... but also for the time-zone challenged who may have missed scenes on the first go-round.

So, for me at least, it's a reciprocal relationship ... and to quote our favorite disgraced domestic diva:

"It's a good thing."

I have only been a west coast guy for about 6 months. When I lived on the east coast, I used to give west coast alerts all the time. I sat through a lot of lousy shows (especially soap operas.)

Also, sometimes when I am channel surfing at 3:00 AM or so I will come across a TV show/movie that has a scene. I will check the VCR alerts and see that it is not there. I will then post a message about it in case ONE person happens to be up at that time.

The point is, I do whatever I can "for the team."

I think your assertion that I "don't want to be bothered" is completely untrue.

Appeared you'd rather not bother with the Without a Trace show.
So suggest you get a buddy to keep an eye on Without a Trace show for you.

Mary Higgins Clark's The Cradle Will Fall (2004)
PAX airs this new TV-movie Saturday, May 22 @ 9:00PM E.T. -- Any chance for a scene?

It's supposed to be about a female hospital patient who thinks she has witnessed a murder. Angie Everhart plays a district attorney. (??!)

Since both Mary Higgins Clark and Angie Everhart have accumulated plenty of Database entries, this TV-movie caught my notice. However, because PAX's adaptations seem to take less liberties with the book than do some other producers, if there isn't a scene (or likely setup) in the MHC book, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Sorry Pat. I guess I misread your post. I took it to mean, "There's little or no bondage in it, only a lot of tentacle action". I didn't mean to say there was NO tentacle action, but instead that there was a LOT of real bondage scenes.

This weeks releases
S0 far nothing on pre-release this weekend. I still have the director's extended cut of underworld to go but it's a REAL longshot. I just got through a star studded but independant gambling movie called 'shade' with Sylvester Stallone and Gabriel Byrne and the guy from queen of the damned and it featured a leading lady who at one point convinces a man in a bar she's into bondage, takes him home, ties him up, and then doctors enter to harvest his organs.
The reason it struck me is because she uses a ballgag. Now I am a gagsnob, and I love nothing more than to see a ballgag scene in the media (partly just because it's so rare). What bothers me is that the new age double standard seems to carry over even into our bondage world. The example is: a male ballgagged in a movie is acceptable, and even humorous, but a woman ballgagged in a movie is degrading and unacceptable. Even if the rumors are true about love object, that is SUPPOSED to be disgusting, not romantic, or sensual.
Any thoughts?

forgot something
Oh yeah, in the movie 'hotel' also coming out tuesday, the woman from the hot shots movies is at one point blindfolded during a lesbian love scene. The movie is full of minors stars, but easily one of the most confusing, disturbing, poorly funded and shot movies I've ever seen. The is some hot blindfolded makeout action though.

Nobody is saying you can't do that. But you guys need
to understand just how annoying it can be for us when
we see comments about "not wasting our time" or "not
having to sit through the show" or any other complaints
when you don't information.

Certainly not everyone complains, nor do we see such
things very often (normally people are posting about
a scene microseconds after is shows). Understand
though that any such thoughtlessness can rebound
dramatically.

I don't want this to stretch into a big thing, but you
should strongly note that this commentary comes from
The Moderator, which is not an accident.

That's enough of this kind of commentary. You want to
discuss the evil conspiracies, AG is the place.

Historias de la Vida Real
Late last night I caught a scene on the Azteca TV show "Historias de la Vida Real." I believe the title of the episode (or story) was "El Club del Horror" (subheading "Sadico Amante"). I came in late, so I can't be certain of the exact circumstances, but I believe this pretty brunette Latina wearing a jacket, blouse, skirt and heels meets a bald man who drugs her (?) -- not enough to render her unconscious, but enought to make her vulnerable. He takes her back to his run-down place and she tries to resist as he threatens her with a knife, ties her hands, then her feet, with lots of talking inbetween, a handgag and an annoying amount of threatening with a bandanna. They imply he tears her clothes open. After the commercial break, she's on the bed face-up, a blanket covering her upper body. She's gagged with an over-the-mouth blue bandanna-gag and barefoot, a stream of theatrical blood coming from one nostril. The bald guy unconvincingly puts out a cigarette on her leg behind the knee, causing her to make some rather unattractive noises, and he leaves her there.

The scene was well-lit, but the camera was hand-held, with almost constant movement and zooming, and no great shots of any details.
