They're not open-faced hoods in all cases. I have two vidcaps on my site showing women wearing dark (leather, maybe) OTM gags, no hoods involved. In one of the caps, in the background, is a woman in the hood-gag combo from Epguides.

Full Metal Yakuza (1997)
Has anyone seen this?

From Arrow in the Head's site

...... Miike even went as far as aiming to tug the heartstring by slapping in a manipulative, yet involving, “romantic” subplot. Being that everything else in this circus was either repulsive, hilarious or mucho perverted, I must applaud Miike for managing to make it work on me! I’m either a sucker or the man is a genius! Lastly, this Philly blunt puffed hard on a smut-hut level with ample female nudity and one hell of scene displaying nasty bondage ......

Re: Inflight Bondage
I can think of 2 other scenes.

1) An episode of Walker Texas Ranger where some terrorists try to highjack a plane. One of the terrorist is pretending to be a flight attendent and Walker overpowers her in the cockpit. He tells the pilots to "Tie her up and gag her." which they do with a thick cleave.

2) That reminded me of a brief scene in the movie "Ransom" AKA "the Terrorists" which is not in the database perhaps because the scene was lost when it went to video.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073796/

The premise is that a group of crininals hijack a plane carrying some important official and demand a ransom. During the initial parts of the criminals plan they try to make sure that the passengers do not know that there is a problem. In the British TV screenings there is a blink and you'll miss it scene where the typical "difficult old lady" passenger asks where one of the other flight attendants is. The attandant (either a terrorist or coersed crewmember) tells her that she is helping other passengers. We then get a brief flash scene to the back of the plane where the other attendants are bound gagged and blindfolded and guarded by an armed man.

Very brief, but if I recall there are 2 girls with thick black blindfolds and white tape gags.

More in flight bondage
I remember seeing a scene in the show the Pretender. The main character (The Prentender) was a U.S. Marshall transporting a prisoner. While delivering the prisoner in a plane, a pair of crooked U.S. Marshalls (man and woman) attempt to kill the prisoner or hijack the plane. The pretender and the prisoner overpower the bad guys and prevent a bomb from exploding on the plane. You then see a very nice shot of the female villian(attractive blonde dressed in a business suit)being led down the aisle of the plane and forced to sit to the male bad guy. She's now cuffed like the prisoner was before with the ankle cuffs and cuffed in front. Nice short scene with excellent shots of the hand and ankle cuffs.

Ok, here's a chance for you to express your opinion on the current moderation.

1. What things are currently off-topic that you would like to have allowed here? Don't bother mentioning commercial videos.

2. What things currently on-topic do you think should be relegated to the AG page?

Note that this doesn't mean that I will necessarily change anything.

I would really like news stories or pictures of gagged women in to be on topic, e.g. gagged protests or the Sarah Kozar, Joe Millionaire "scandal".

Those topics are always of interest to me, and I hate it when a post on one of them either gets deleted or moved before I've seen it. (The Anything Goes page is too repulsive to visit regularly.)

I too would like to see real-life situations as mentioned above either included here or perhaps in a forum of their own (and related posts get moved there)

Nothing should be "moved" to the AG page, if it's off-topic here then just delete it. If some wish to continue discussing such a topic they can go through the effort of posting it over in AG themselves. AG is nothing but flaming one another and a bunch of name-calling anyways.

I would like hentai to not be considered as being the same as commercial videos. While they often have lengthy and explicit sexual bondage scenes, they also often have detailed and intricate plots and in-depth characterization. I don't have any problem with commercial videos being considered "non-mainstream" because most don't have much in the way of plot or characterization -- there's nothing to report on. Also, you can pick up some adult anime at outlets like Tower Records and Media Play which don't ordinarily carry hardcore porn. Frankly, even softcore porn in the U.S. rarely achieves the depth of plotting and characterization that many hardcore hentai do.

I also would like to see news items or social phenomena be considered OK for this page so long as the discussion relates to how they might affect mainstream movies or TV shows. Frex, a cleric in Iraq has said it's OK for his flock to capture female British soldiers and keep them as slaves. I think this news has definite potential in terms of plotlines of movies and TV shows, and it would be fun to discuss how it might affect same. Discussion the rightness or wrongness oft he cleric's proclamation, or its political fallout, should still be AG material.

"The age thing" is not negotiable, and not due to a quirk of mine. It's a safety thing to keep us from getting shut down. No mention of ages even in these complaints. Sorry, but you guys will have to repost yours.

That doesn't make sense. We had a LOT of complaints when
off-topic posts were deleted, because people had put a
lot time into them. It also leads people over to the
proper forum.

Why would you want them just deleted?

Discussion of people's websites insofaras it relates to the DiD content. Any other aspects of the sites would of course still be off-topic.

First, I would like to see things that realy are mainstream, like the article from the newspaper that I sent. Yes it was a re-enactment or scene by the journalist, but so is any movie or crime re-enactment.

Second, I would really like to see a page where real stuff that is not suitable for here, but is real, could go. The AG is not that, it is a useless page for the material of this site.

I'm with SjJenni on this one. I enjoyed that article, but more than that, I wish it would have been considered "on-topic" considering it was a feature in a mainstream newspaper.

Deleted stuff
Here's the non-objectionable stuff from the deleted posts"

-----------
"Real-life" stories, such as the previously mentioned news feature where a woman experimented with a kidnapping experience.

However, politically volatile real-life stories still sound like AG material. Simply by being posted, they're inviting trouble.

Also comments about other people's websites, but only ones related to the actual DiD content of the site.
-----------

-----------
"Adult" but mainstream media, such as Playboy and Penthouse magazines (nude pics would still be off-topic). They're in my barbershop, as well as on many houses' coffeetables nowadays.

Stretching the Envelope
I've had some posts deleted with the reason given something like: "This is not a media criticism forum." We're limiting ourselves to "mainstream scenes" & I believe everyone knows that means "Damsel-in-Distress" & "Bondage" scenes in TV & movies released for the general public. Surely *some* discussion of WHY & HOW TV & movies do a good or bad job is interesting & relevant to our "hobby." I understand that anything can be taken to extremes, but I think a little more leeway is appropriate. If someone posts something that is "esoteric" but otherwise "legal," I suggest Mr. Moderator let it run for a while. See if a thread develops. See if others are interested. If it starts getting waaaay off track, *that's* the time to rein things in.

Re: Stretching the Envelope
I similarly had a post moved to AG a while back about a Buffy fanfic site that had DiD material including photmanipulations. I'm still unclear as to why it was deemed off topic for the Discussion Page.

I feel that discussion of things one can purchase in mainstream stores like Media Play, Tower Records, the corner mini-mart should be allowed. This would include art books and magazines like Playboy, while avoiding aspects that violate the basic scope/boundaries of the page.

Re: Input
Getting here late, so I just want to add my vote to Jazz, sjJenni, ect. The article Jenni sent was a good read, as was the mainstream media flap over Sara Kozer last year.
I caught them both, but having to scroll through the rants on AG is too much like mucking out stalls or pumping a septic tank.
Am I right, Mr. Mod, that such discussions were once allowed here? I have in my little collection of favorite pics a young lady from Providence College who several years ago taped her mouth shut in protest.
The pic was at Clem's wonderful site, but we talked about it over here, unless someone spiked my coffee.
And discussion of content on other people's websites should be allowed within reason too. Fuzz has been going through a lot and it'd be nice to send him a public thanks w/o getting AG'd (see also: "flushed''.)
Finally, in extraordinary cases we ought to be able to discuss the people in our hobby. When my buddy Paablo (and I wish I knew him better than I did) died in January, there weren't many other places for cyber-mourners to gather.

Latest FANGORIA
Don't know if anyone's posted this yet, but the latest issue of FANGORIA has an article and pics from a new Dario Argento horror flic called CARD PLAYER, and there are three at least three different gagged women depicted.

I'll point out that this site has a search feature. As
my "move message" has the title of the post(s) deemed
off-topic, it's pretty easy to extract only those, it
that is what you desire. No wading required.

Things have indeed changed over the years. On of the
reasons for the creation of AG was the gray area posts
dealing with real-life situations.

I've never outlawed thanks or atta-boys(girls). The
reason I decided against discussion of other sites were
two reasons:

1. That site sucks, when is he going to update?

2. I can't get the videos to play, what's wrong?

Again, I don't recal moving any such posts. I'm generally
sympathetic to genuine concerns.

Short answer: I'd be happy with no changes. Slight preferences include the Sarah Kozer-type thing being on-topic. In practical matters such as collection, these fall in with the on-topic stuff, as they are available within mainstream material and through mainstream distribution channels.

Also, I kinda miss the occasional short jokey posts, thrown out recently along with the longer attempts at humor, less likely to be worth the time. And, oh yeah, don't know the bandwidth situation, or the prevalence of broadband, but I wouldn't complain about downsized restrictions on image size.

Unsolicited: If on the fence, I urge coming down on the side that requires the least moderation time and effort. The current amount yields an extraordinarily clean site of which I remain highly appreciative. But, I would suffer a less tidy site if less generous amounts of work and aggravation kept it at its upbeat best, and less likely to vanish in a burst of umpteenth reminders, deletions and popped arteries.

Hope this is helpful. I'm sure I'll be content with whatever the results of this review. As always, thanks for a thankless and economically imprudent job well done.

Crossing Jordan
This show is a tease.

Many past episode themes have had great potential...but nothing ever happens. Such as this past episode had a vampire plot...but of course, nothing.

Does anyone have any intelligence about the potential future episodes?
I find it hard to believe that such an episode could be avoided. (ie Jordan is taken captive by the bad guy or is stalked and kidnapped by a past criminal seeking revenge).
