Thursday May 20 09:11:10 2004 Spanish scenes |
It would be very nice if somebody who was able to watch those spanish scenes from the last week could put them into the Database with some minimum description (names of the damsels involved, way of tying, way of gagging), because so many scenes from the discussion page don't find their way into the Moderator's ressources. |

Thursday May 20 12:07:13 2004 Sin City w/Jess Alba |
Anyone bring this up yet? Robert Rodriguez is currently shooting "Sin City" with an all-star cast, including Bruce Willis and Jessica Alba. It's based on Frank Miller's graphic novels, and Miller is actually co-directing. Here's a blurb I found to be of interest...
"Bruce and Jessica star in the translation of 'That Yellow Bastard,' which follows the story of a cop on the verge of retirement who takes on one final case to save a young girl who has been kidnapped by a lunatic." Obviously, Alba is the kidnappee. I don't think I ever picked up the comic in question, so I can't say whether Rodriguez has any inspiration there. O/t note about the movie: it's being shot entirely with a green screen. No sets, just actors and props. Something tells me this will work spectacularly well or spectacularly unwell. We'll see. |

Are you sure she's the kidnapee? Jessica's now 23. She could be the assistant/trainee helping out. Jessica is also shooting "Into the Blue," a thriller with Jess on the high seas running from drug smugglers. She's also shooting "Beautiful Killer," a 20-something out to avenge the death of her parents. Glad to see Miss Alba back in some kickass/tough girl shows, as opposed to her recent tries in "Sleeping Dictionary" and "Honey." |

Heather doesn't move her head, but shifts her eyes from Hatch to the other damsel right into the camera. Plus, a great 1-liner from Hatch: "Well, we had a lot of fun girls, but all good things must come to an end." Camera then cuts back to Heather with a hopeless expression on her face. |

They will sex-up any story, real or fiction, whenever possible. In the movie, the cop will probably have two luscious female sidekicks. One of whom, in a new side plot, will be proven to be the "second shooter" on the grassy knoll. |

Thursday May 20 15:07:47 2004 Re: Sin City |
I think Royler is 'right-on' with his Sin City comments. The director (Robert Rodruigez) has stated that he intends to be faithful to the comic, also, there is a bit of behind the scenes video available that confirms Bruce Willis is a cop trying to save Jessica Alba's character... |

Thursday May 20 16:28:44 2004 fakes |
Was wondering if anyone knew where to findany of Kate Beckinsale, Mila Kunis, Lita and/or Kate Hudson. |
Thursday May 20 17:34:31 2004 Re: Sin City w/Jess Alba |
Actually, I think this was discussed last week-- not to "nyah nyah," but I think there may have been more detail in the earlier comments, if you care to search for them. Certainly, if reports of Rodriguez' obsessive determination to reproduce the comic accurately are correct, the scene will be there.
You can judge the success of the "green screen" approach before that, as that's exactly what's being done with another upcoming title that many here have high hopes for: "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow", which will be out in early fall. By the way, I tried to quote from Royler's post and kept being told I was "top posting", which I wasn't. Maybe I just screwed up, but in case it's a problem, figured I'd mention it. |

---- Have you explored the Links contained in the "Friends' Pages" forum? And those websites should also contain links to other DiD Fakes sites (i.e., surfing the web). |

In fairness, it must be said that not many of the links on Friends' Pages will take you anywhere near the action. A LOT of fake sites have died lately.
Manipulator's links are mostly good, but some are dead. The first site to which I contributed, Jerichoholic 65's, expired, like so many of Geocities', some time ago. Most fakes on show these days are in Yahoo! Groups, notably the IHOB, which has a comprehensive and well kept links page, now its main function. That's at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/IHOB . IIRC, that site also links to some DiDcap groups, not found by search engines. I have a fake of Kate Beckinsale on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/celebrityfantasykidnap . |

Thursday May 20 21:11:53 2004 VH1's 50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs... Ever |
> VH1-USA's "50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs...Ever", which included excerpts from the song and its music video. One
song (I can't recall the song or singer) made the list because its "Stalker lyrics" weirded-out the voting panel. One female commentator noted to the effect that she could visualize him singing those stalker lyrics to a woman tied to a chair... with duct tape on her mouth. ---- It's Song #32 on Blender magazine's countdown (about 43 minutes into VH1's 2-hour program): Mr. Mister's "Broken Wings". |
