That explains why she's been looking so bloated lately, especially in the face. I thought it was the hairstyle making her look different. I would never expect anything with Katie at this point anyway, after all the misses in the last year. My hope was Simon grabbing and gagging Pilar. Something for down the road possibly. Steinbeck has got people after the Cady McClain character. |
Wednesday June 23 00:43:09 2004 List of Nancy Drew scenes |
I know the database doesn't cover bondage scenes in books, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a website with a list of which Nancy Drew books contain DiD scenes. I ask because there's a Half Price book store nearby and they have a lot of those books for sale. |

Actually, I believe it's modeled on the frontspiece illustration in the "re-write" of "Mystery at Lilac Inn", which proceeds as you describe. "Bungalow" is one where she's conked on the head and awakens B & G. Darn cute pic either way. |

Wednesday June 23 01:55:58 2004 Hillside trailer |
From the trailer it looks like this movie will be a target rich piece. Just in the trailer there are definitely three different women in various stages of undress and bondage. |

If it were some kind of gag, it would be even more of a loosie than SMG wore in "Scooby Doo", and that's saying something! There's no sign at all of tissue compression. It's a reflection. |

A gent who posts here on occasion, Mr. Irony, used to have a great site dedicated to bondage scenes in mainstream books. Not sure if the site is still around, though, and I don't seem to have a current link. |

3 clips and 94 caps of this scene that's far better than we had any right to expect are now online in the usual location. Enjoy... |

Off the top of my head, _The Clue of the Velvet Mask_, _Hit and Run Holiday_ ("Case Files" #5), and _The Mystery at Lilac Inn_ -- the original version is *far* better than than the revised one with respect to the DiD scenario, BTW -- are among the standouts. Ah, memories... (Meanwhile, fans of bondage fiction should really track down a copy of _Killing Suki Flood_ by Robert Leininger. Just trust me on this, okay?) |

I seem to remember there being a scene in a Nancy Drew book called 'The Swami's Ring' in which she is tied up hand and foot and locked in cabin with a snake. There was a very good illustration of this on the front cover of the hardback version in the UK. |

There's also "The Clue of the Tapping Heels" (original-- not sure I've read the "modern" one)-- tied but not gagged. |

Actually in "Bungalow" she is conked then he waits til she is conscious lifts her to her feet and she describes how he ties her ankles first and before he can tie her wrists sheagonizes about what she can do becasue she knows once her wrists are tied "the situation will be desperate there will be no way to escape" GOOD stuff... she positions her hands in such a way while being tied as to escape the bonds later (wouldn't work if I tied her...lol) and in both "Tapping Heels" she is bound AND gagged I don't know if I can post the pics here but I'll email them to you Jeb and to Brian. |

Some faves (paperback versions):
Trial By Fire - Nancy handgagged then blindfolded, tapegagged and hands tied behind; also tied up later in the book with another abductee who's found tied and tape-gagged Stage Fright - Nancy chloroformed then wakes up tied, blindfolded and gagged in car trunk Deadly Doubles - tied and blindfolded & gagged with packing Don't Look Twice (image) - Nancy grabbed and handgagged while on phone then tied and blindfolded/gagged; later chloroformed Rehearsing for Romance - Nancy and Bess Marvin tied hands behind and tape-gagged with packing Mystery of the Masked Rider - female rider found tied and tape-gagged; Bess Marvin later found tied and tapegagged (describes how she was overpowered and tied up by villainess - "Boy, was she strong") |
Wednesday June 23 11:19:02 2004 Re: List of Nancy Drew scenes |
Villain takes a piece of rope and leads Nancy to a basement where he ties her hands and feet and gags her. Might be the only hogtie reference in her sleuthing career. |

Wednesday June 23 11:36:29 2004 Re: List of Nancy Drew scenes |
"The Nancy Drew mysteries were the currency of girlhood, cheerful yellow-spined hardbacks that appeared under the Christmas tree or wrapped with ribbons on birthdays. While boys traded baseball cards, girls swapped mysteries and acted them out, always fighting over who would get to be Nancy.... Many celebrities such as actress Demi Moore have cited Nancy as an early influence"

The description of her being bound and gagged in the older edition is far more richly detailed than the one in the newer edition. There is more dialogue with the villain before she is overpowered and bound and gagged. The illustration is also superior, in my opinion. In the older version, Nancy is wearing a blouse and skirt; in the newer one, she is wearing a blouse and slacks. |

I still think one of the modern ones has her tied up and gagged in a closet for a while. While she's in there, she overhears some of the criminal plot. When the police show up, she jumps out and tackles one of the villains -- even while she's tied up. |

In a one word...WOW. Garters, red bra, handcuffs, a cleave gag, struggling, mmmphing...
I would wager a LARGE amount of money that the director/writer has a very specialized interest in bondage. Major thanks to Raffish for posting those clips. I have no idea how I would've seen this otherwise. |

Or to be more accurate, the only one I read, and it's a damn good one. When I was in high school, I checked through their library and they had a few Nancy Drew books. Don't Look Twice was one of the few I had, and I checked it out on a whim. Very early in the book, Nancy is taken prisoner and bound, gagged and blindfolded in the criminals' hideout. She overhears one of them say something like "she's not the one we're after! Get rid of her!" She wakes up in the middle of nowhere, wrapped in a blanket. |

Wednesday June 23 18:18:57 2004 Liberty Meadows |
It appears that the next hardcover collection of the "Liberty Meadows" strip will contain the "evil twin" B&G scenes for Brandy. The title is "LIBERTY MEADOWS, BOOK 3: SUMMER OF LOVE", and will be in stores on Sept 22. My guess is that Amazon will have it cheaper, sooner.
Here's a link to the (non-bondage) cover illustration, just to help identify it: http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0406/23/libertymeadows3.htm |
