So this scene finally draws to a close. Now, despite "Nicole"'s scene containing a loosey of historic proportions and Sarah Buxton not being gagged- or even very well tied - I still thought this was a decent little arc. If nothing else, it was two scenes running in current episodes of the same soap opera (in fact, on at least one occasion the show cut directly from Nicole's scene to Sarah's). Which makes for an interesting trivia question- what if any other soap opera has had two seperates scenes running concurrently? |

You may want to try Wal-mart, Best Buy, Curcit City, or Fye Music, & Fry's Electronic. I'm pretty sure one of these places have it to buy. |

Joanna Going was tied and gagged briefly in a phone booth while a brunette was tied and OTM gagged in a separate storyline in a house. The brunette was tied and gagged at the end of one episode and most of the next one. Joanna was grabbed at the end of the first episode, tied and gagged in the opening minutes of the next one, and then freed herself. Scenes recently reaired on SoapNet a few months ago. |

How very disappointing, but then again it's MTV right? Thanks for the info nonetheless. |

Friday July 16 13:53:25 2004 "She-Spies" canceled |
MGM will not make an official announcement, but Natasha Henstridge's Web site says show is canceled. Good thing they made all those changes for Season 2. Worked out well. |

I hate to say I told you so but... I told you so. Check the record, but I clearly stated in this forum that the changes they made simply turned a somewhat unique show into standard TV dreck. |

Friday July 16 15:27:13 2004 What happened to Faith? Haven't seen her lately(please reply) |
What has happened to Faith on GH? I haven't seen her tied up in days or on the show at all for that matter. I must know what's going on:
Is the scene over? Did she escape? Was she killed? Help me out here, please. |

I just can't believe how bad syndicated TV has gotten in the past couple of years. At least "She-Spies" gave us something to watch each week, now what's left for fall 2004? Is there anything worth recording? |

My question is "why?" If it ain't broke don't mess with it. They messed with it and look what happened...why?! Even the quality of "scenes" couldn't really compare to the first season... Shades of Martial Law all over again...sigh... |

Sonny let her go when she threatened to reveal his role in the paternity of Sam's baby (that he is the father) to his wife in a letter in the event that Faith was killed. She's been seen a few times briefly since the scene. But for now, Faith remains on the loose. |

Hey man, I work at blockbuster too, but unfortunately we didn't get that one for rental.
Also there is an offscreen handgag with good mmphing in 'people I know' and some teasing in the big bounce, but nothing real. |

It seems to me two different factors are at work here: (1) The Networks have always been risk averse, and the growth of cable has made things worse. The pilot system (1,000's of ideas become 100 pilots become 3-5 new shows) doesn't help, and "Reality TV" has lowered the financial bar to the point that even a syndicated show has to be a "hit" just to survive. In short, everything starts with edges & they get ground down by the system. The result *IS* "standard TV drek", & only the occasional fractional paradigm shift keeps things watchable. (2) ...& this is the Good News: The Damsel-in-Distress is as old as the spoken word & isn't going away. Beautful actresses in bondage will continue to appear in all media... albeit with variance in frequency & quality. What we need is an Action/Adventure Channel along the lines of the SciFi Channel. Ask yourself: would a half-way decent series similar to Raiders of the Lost Ark find an audience? Are there people out there who would watch new, good versions of Tarzan, The Shadow, Doc Savage, etc.? HELL yes! |
