gag preferences intrest me , why some prefer cleaves ,tape, etc i remember penny and those tight cleave from the old sky king series and a comic of dale evans knocked out n a hotel ,she wakes up with a cleave,or at least that is what i remember .....and then there was that lovely much older baby sitter who insisted i tie and gag her and she opened her mouth bit her gag and told me to tie it tight.......works for me.....cleaves are my preference and i think it must be early stimuli that determines our preferences, i am almost indifferent about the others.....comments |

The third season of Alias will hit shelves on September 7! Aside from this set featuring Jennifer Garner bound and gagged, there's the possibility that the deleted scenes will include the same scene with her ball gagged!

Thankfully I was exposed to a more diverse array of imagery when I was a kid. Hands behind, hands in front, arms to sides. Gags, non-gagged (gags were over-the-mouth, which is my favorite aesthetically to this day). Blindfold, no blindfold. Rope, chains, shackles, or whatever. Involving the heroine, or the hero's friend. Whatever... If I have a major preference, it's for adventure context, since that's what I was exposed to nearly all the time when I was growing up. As long as the scene isn't too realistically dramatic or too playfully silly, it's usually right up my alley. And I do have a preference for rope above all else, by far. But those are the two preferences that influence me most. I'm more open to a variety of tying methods and such, perhaps because I was exposed to many, and enjoyed many of them in their individual contexts. |

You were right on in your comments about early influence and the tight cleave being the strongly preferred. The visibility of teeth biting down or bulging corners of the mouth are a visual must. |

Bit like today's obligatory silver tape. |

Hi, what do you mean by "Northern Yanks"? Is it possible to get these shows from New York for instance? I'm really pissed these shows (esp. the German movie) don't play in America (and never will). You would think with all the Satalite technology one could order shows from anywhere. Thanks for any info. |

That, and don't believe I've ever mailed to what? "Western New York", or "Upstate New York", figured the fellas along the border able to catch the alerts. As for more information, I'll have to gather postal codes and check the US air-scheds. Perhaps a similar situation as with CFTO, CIII, CHCH & CITY channels where they take a show originating from US, but dub in on commercials and such, going the other way? Let you know. |

I don't care about gags either way, but if her hands are tied in front, she's not really tied in my book, unless perhaps her hands are cuffed to a transport belt the way you see in a lot of prison pics. (The belt has to be tighter than I see it in a lot of pictures, though.) What particularly annoys me are pictures of a "helpless" damsel with her hands tied in front, while blindfolded and/or gagged. Just pull the blindfold or gag off with your hands, dummy! Geeze! Also don't care for thumb or toe cuffs. They just look silly to me. |

Thanks, Jay L, I don't live anywhere near the border; should have known or suspected that was it. I am surprised though that any part of New York State could pick up Canadian, and therefore German, TV. That's pretty cool that some people in the US could see "You Have My Family's Trust" for instance. |

Monday August 30 18:11:45 2004 Filmed before a live audience |
Some previous posts have commented on the tendency of sitcom scenes for very loose tieups and flimsy gags.
Since a number of sitcom TV series are "filmed before a live audience", I wonder if there are persons here who've been in the TV production industry know if that may one contributing factor (e.g., because of quicker setups and transitions required for live-audience work, or some other reasons). |

This is in the DB, and is from a 90's British TV series, which is correctly identified as Band Of Gold. Samantha is left topless, bound to a bed nad is gagged with a very large piece of black tape. Although the scenes are fairly brief, she struggles and mmphs mightily in her eforts to attract the attention of her friend outside the room door. I think she's finally found by the hotel maid. I really love this scene. Nice gag, loads of energy from Miss Morton. |

Yes, Samantha Morton is bound topless (i.e., panties only) and heavily tapegagged in the UK miniseries "Band of Gold". The included link will take you to a collage of pics form that scene. As noted, there IS nudity, so be aware. You can read details of the scene at this link: http://www.cndb.com/actor.html?name=Morton%2C+Samantha#4 last I checked, it was unavailable in the US. here is IMDB's review of the film: http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0111890/combined I hope this helps. Please let us know if you find it available anywhere, as it sounds like an excellent scene, albeit in a dreary film. |

Monday August 30 19:13:23 2004 ATWT possibility?? |
The soap spoiler for this week's As the World Turns says "Barb landed in Will's psych unit after taking Chris and Emily hostage". I don't really know many of the characters on the show, so I don't know who "Chris" and "Emily" are ("Emily" is obviously a female, I don't know about "Chris"), how old they are, or anything, but it sounds like a possibility. Also, maybe "Barb" in the psych unit will end up restrained in some way, strapped to a table (& gagged hopefully) or in a straitjacket. Again, I know nothing about "Barb" as to her age or looks. Anyone know anything on these guys?
I held off posting on the Alerts page till I know more about these characters. |

Chris is a putz who was banging Alison last time I taped the show. Emily is in her mid to late 30s and is still a decent looking blonde. |

Rather poorly applied over the mouth gag there at the end. The gag doesn't even completely cover her bottom lip. By the time they return to the scene I'm sure they will have cleaned up the gag and it will look more convincing. According to our Canadian friend that probably won't be till Wednesday. |

So she should stay tied up at least until early next week. |
