I completely agree, Snowcat, though I love a good struggle, too, of course! I mentioned this type of scene many months ago in reference to Andrea De Oliveira's scene from "The Strip," which is one of my favorites for obvious reasons (ridiculously beautiful damsel chair tied in a night-shirt with that look of resignation regarding her situation -- as if she had already put up the struggle and realized that it was futile). Good acting job by Ms. Oliveira, by the way, doing it all with her eyes. Just out of curiosity, what scene or scenes did you have in mind when you mentioned that look?

Oh, yeah, one last thing:I'm house-sitting for my parents -- you know, the ones with digital cable -- and wow, what a week! I don't have any cable at my place, so it's been nice to get a bunch of scenes I hadn't already recorded: Lone Star State of Mind (I really like these two), Bound (that's right, I had NEVER seen it before!), House of 1,000 Corpses (kind of lame, but not horrible), feardotcom (heavy, but I do like the plug gag and strap over the breast), The Missing (reports of gags have been greatly exaggerated), Instinct To Kill (three gruesome scenes and a fourth one that justified the tape used), A Deadly Vision (the impossibly cute Kristin Davis with a great duct tape gag and impossibly impractical restraints), and a couple of others I can't recall at the moment. Once again -- WOW, WHAT A WEEK!!!

Whew . . . anybody else not have any cable at all? I just want to know if I'm alone in this very remote, dark territory . . .

Spoilers for this week say "Tammy's romantic night with JB is interrupted." and "Sandy rescues Tammy."

Now having only watched 5 minutes of it last week, I believe Tammy is the daughter of Cassie who just finished abducting Dinah. So I don't know if the spoilers mean that Tammy will need rescueing because Dinah will get revenge on Cassie by grabbing her daughter, or if Tammy is simply stuck in a tree.

I have no cable. It severly limits the benefits I get from this page. It is also why I am always interested in information about new video releases with scenes.

Of these 10 or so scenes to which you allude, how many featured the damsel being bound and gagged?

In case you're referring to Sleepaway Camp I and III, Sleepaway Camp III is in the Database (and has been for quite a while).

I was astonished to learn that no Database Entry existed for "Sleepaway Camp II" until recently, despite the fact that this video was released sometime during the late 1980's. This is incongruous, considering how voluminous and thorough the Database is.
The Database is augmented by Entries contributed by those who peruse this Page regularly, in much the same manner as the Oxford English Dictionary was. I have consulted it countless times, and have been pleasantly surprised by its completeness. It is astonishing how, in the seven short years of its existence, the Database has amassed so many Entries, including those for long-forgotten and obscure movies and defunct television shows.
It is therefore perplexing that the relatively obscure slasher flick "Sleepaway Camp II" was somehow overlooked, especially since it is part of a trilogy. It seems plausible to me that someone who saw "Sleepaway Camp III" and relished its bondage scene would infer that its prequel might contain such a scene as well. I know this happened to me, though I don't recall the order in which I saw the movies.

Surprised me, too. I'd learned from the DB ages ago that SC3 contained a scene with Tracy Griffith, one of my favorite 80's hotties. I started to check into SC1 & 2 but figured if they had anything, they'd be in the DB. So now I'm sort of wishing I'd bought the 3-disk set instead of just SC3. :p It always seemed kinda strange having a part 3 and no parts 1 & 2, but thinking that there was no bondage in either, I figured there wasn't much point.

Sometimes I'm amazed at just how much stuff the DB *does* contain. Obscure stuff that I think no one but me probably knows about... then I look and it's there. So since I haven't done it recently, hat's off to our host for providing such an incredible resource.

It occurred to me that if Harm & Kate had decided to split forces, with Kate investigating the near-deserted base -- Lt Cmdr Rabb could've been placed in a situation similar to those "Dear Abby" letters.

Who do I free first from her B&g predicament next to the tactical nuclear warhead? Lt (j.g.) Meg, who's my current partner and who was previously a weapons specialist; or Lt Kate, who's the higher-ranking officer (and not only my ex-partner but my ex-lover)? Does Navy protocol cover this, or would etiquette cover this?

'Official' Navy protocol demands that the nuclear warhead be dealt with as a first priority for public safety reasons, regardless of how long it takes to release the DiD's.

Of course, if it was the villainess Lt. Singer (who joined the JAG cast several seasons later), viewers would've likely seen a replay of the Knight Rider ("Knight of the Juggernaut - Part 2") handcuffed & tapegagged next to a bomb scene: "Just between us... your silence is a treat."

McLeod's Daughters
The Australian series McLeod's Daughters is coming to the WE network, starting this Saturday at 10:00 PM Eastern.

I seemed to recal that there was something there, although the DB was dry. Googling turned up the link below with a cap, featuring Tess (Bridie Carter) and Stevie (Simmone Mackinnon).

Unfortunately it doesn't say which episode, further it seems to be a season 4, so at one per week it'll be a year and a half before we get to that one. Unknown if there are other episodes of interest.

Speaking of which, when is Gilmore Girls gonna run an episode where a robber ties up Rory and Lorelie, with Rory stewing because her mother discouraged her from trying to trip the robber up when she had the chance?

Signal knocked out on east coast for all but 1 minute. Saw webcam of woman lying on bed with otm black cloth and black blindfold. Was there original grab or anything other than webcam shots? Thanks.

Re: "Torn Apart"-and one more question while I'm at it
An anonymous poster, with regard to "Torn Apart," asked:

"Anything happen?"

Yes, but it probably wouldn't have been of much interest to many of us here. Remember that it was the husband and daughter of Tia Carrere's young and vivacious character who were kidnapped, and draw your own conclusions.

And while I'm here, Mr. Moderator, how much longer will we wait for a response on the "Beloved" database entry? Every day that goes by without one just adds to my conviction that no one deliberately removed it. Of course, I'm assuming here that your e-mail inbox has been as silent on the issue as have these pages.

Mainstream bondage survey
Well, NCIS sure paid off big time tonight. First decent scene I can remember from prime time for a long time.

I've been trying to think of what are the DiD scenes that are best in mainstream, to mainstream people.

Not people who really love DiD scenes, but just average moviegoers who'd recognize a key scene from a movie or literature or what-have-you, but average moviegoers.

I mean, we'd probably name Annabella Sciorra in "Whispers in the Dark" or most of the cast of "Terror Among Us" or Pat Preist in "Thing with Two Heads" as the best, but I bet your average moviegoer would look at clips from those and not know the movie or the actress.

The ones I've come up with that your average Joe might know are:

The number one all-time top of the list by far the most recognized would be:

Slavegirl Leia from "Return of the Jedi."

Followed by

Faye Wray's scene in King Kong

Third is:

Charlie's Angels in the Angels in Chains scene. There's a reason they reprised the scene in publicity stills for the movie.

And then pulling up a distant fourth would be several scenes:

Any scene from Perils of Pauline

Eliza Dishku from 24 (just because they made such a big deal out of her scenes)

There are probably quite a few others I don't remember. But I bet some of you will.

BTW, the NCIS teaser shows we'll have a chick in chains scenes next week. That series is on fire!

Movies: Karen Allen had two scenes in "Raiders of the Lost Ark". Though we're more fond of her B&g'd (& onscreen re-gagging) in the tent, her post-tie w/ Indiana Jones while the Ark of the Covenant is being opened is sometimes used as a publicity still.

Joan of Arc is an iconic art figure.

Literature: Beryl Stapleton found b&g'd by Sherlock Holmes & Dr. Watson in "Hound of the Baskervilles". And "Story of O" is a classic piece of "boudoir" literature.
