Re: Terror Among Us
OK, I was a "Real People" fan, so I knew who Sarah Purcell was. "Terror Among Us" was completely out of her RP character.

As for "Terror Among Us", I remember seeing promos for it on CBS..and believe me..I couldn't wait! IIRC, the promo had Shackelford holding Pat Klous with a knife to her throat (the scene where Purcell and Tracy Reed come home). If only I had a VCR back then! I'm surprised it hasn't been re-released on video as of yet.

I remember that TV Guide had a full-page ad for the movie. Anybody living near a large library..or a school that has a good library should be able to find it on microfilm and be able to make a copy (unfortuyanlety, I don't live near either).

Gags aside, it was roundly panned by the critics for it's poor acting, stupid plot, and for being overly violent. Considering that, a DVD might be a longshot. OTOH, it pops up once in a while on local TV and a few cable stations. Be warned though: the viewing quality varies greatly depending on what copy that particular station has. I saw it once on a local station and the video quality was so poor, it was almost unwatchable.

Wasn't there talk not too long ago about a remake of TAU or was that just a wish of someone posting to this board? I could see the remake being released on DVD with perhaps the original possibly on a bonus/extras disc.

Yup. It's going to star Jessican Biel, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton.

That's the TV version. The *movie* version will star Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Kirsten Dunst, & Rebecca Romijn-Stamos... although Charlize Theron may have to take Rebecca's place, 'cause she may not be finished making the "Sweet Gwendoline & the Race for the Gold Cup" movie with Angelina Jolie & Catherine Zeta-Jones. :-)

A question to NFL 1926 Champions-Frankford Yellowjackets
Hi, I do remember a scene that seems to be the same you described yesterday; one of the damsel-ladies did wear European style clothes (vest, riding boots and tight-fitting riding trousers); the rest of the ladies were dressed in Chinese traditional costume; the gags were thin white cleaves; was THIS the scene you did watch last night? Thanks in advance

Any Caps Anywhere?
Record number: 9293

Title: Mortal Kombat: Conquest
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Kristanna Loken

Description: Episode: Unknown

Kristanna's character is suprised from behind by her female adversary. The adversary wraps a cloth around her throat and then wraps it around her mouth making an extremely tight cleave gag. Kristanna's character is helpless grabbing at the cloth around her neck while being unable to cry out at the same time as she is taunted.

I just realized that this is the same chick from T-3, Anyone have caps of this scene? Thanks in advance!

She was also in a great scene tied back to back with Teri Hatcher on Lois and Clark.

You know, I think I may have that clip. Is the villainess Grace Jones or someone who looks a lot like her?

How about other shows based on TAU?

1. "Trading Spaces Among Us" - starring Paige Davis and both the cute blonde and red-headed designers.

2. "The Apprentice Among Us" - starring Carolyn Kepcher and all the female contestants; the winners get to give the full treatment to Omarosa.

3. "CSI Among Us" - starring Marg Helgenberger, Kim Delaney and Melina Kanakaredes.

4. "Law and Order Among Us" - starring Stephanie March and Mariska Hargitay.

I can go on and on...I'm laughing too hard at myself to continue. Any other entries? :()

Survivor possibility
The title of tonight's episode of "Survivor: Vanuatu" is "Hog-Tied." It's very possible that a real hog will be involved, but you might want to have tape ready to roll, just in case.

Airs at 8 p.m. EST on CBS

And looking at its IMDB.com entry, its User Rating was 5.0 based on 30 votes (13 users gave it a "10"; 2 users gave it a "9").

From that, I'm inferring that at most, only fifteen of "us" were willing to expend even a mouse-click to register an online vote -- I don't see that as any sort of groundswell demand for a re-release.

Nothing on Survivor. It was basically a greased-pig chasing contest.
