Don't know if this one has been mentioned yet but - Hands down the gag scene from "Funny Games" is one of the most uncomfortable on an actress I've seen...the only bad thing is that the entire movie is so stark and brutal that it's not really enjoyable to watch even just for the scene. I've got a pretty strong stomach & seen some crazy shit in my life but this movie is strong stuff...unlike "Perfect Prey" where I actually enjoyed watching that scene. Plus I've got a soft spot for Joely... |

| Wow. Thought the board would be on fire tonight with complaints after fast-forwarding through "Without a Trace." Since no report yet, here's the lowdown.
Poppy goes undercover early and (surprise) blows her cover 45 minutes in and is tossed into a car and taken away. When next seen, Poppy is taking a beating to her gorgeous face, courtesy of back-to-back punches by the lead thug. She's in a chair with hands behind her back, but her hands are never shown, just implied they're tied. Her face is bloody and she pleads for the thug to stop, where she gets another punch to the face. When next seen, the car she was kidnapped in pulls up to a wrecking yard. At this point I'm waiting for the typical leave the damsel tied and gagged in a car about to be crushed. Only we get crushed here. The thug takes Poppy from the car and now she's not tied at all! She falls to the ground and is fortunate enough to find a crowbar at her feet. She drills the bad guy and runs away. Shootout ensues and good guys win. In the finale, Poppy is wearing jeans and black shirt that rides up when she's dragged into the wrecking yard. You get a nice view of her tummy and her back for a few seconds. |

| "CSI" also had a scene tonight. About 30 minutes in, 20-something damsel was found with hands tied behind and stuff-gagged with a scarf in the trunk of a car. She was dead. After commercial, she's brought back to the lab still tied and still gagged where the CSIs untie her and ungag her. You see a flashback of her getting stuff-gagged as the CSIs envision the crime. Later, the CSIs discover the damsel committed suicide, tying her own hands and stuff-gagging herself. They show her doing it, but it's in flashback form with jerky camerawork and poor lighting. The damsel was a hottie, but the scene is just too dark and not well done. |

If this is the British film with David Jason then sadly no. better sticking with Rentadick for what it's worth. Het this reminds me Do any British reader's remember the Two Ronnies? In the early 80s they ran a serial every week. One season it was 'Band of slaves' in which white slavers targeted a girl band on a cruise ship, I can recall several episodes with pretty 20-something extras tied and gagged in the hold of the ship. Most of them had their instruments tied along side them. Oh, haappy days |

There must have been at least one bondage fan in the crew, at a time when I had no idea there were such people. The damsels sported a variety of gags, including at least one, apparently made of leather, that seemed to be a purpose-made harness job. If it was such, it may have been the first ever shown on British TV. Not that we got a very good picture, so I can't be certain. Some of the gags looked much tighter than others. One damsel was ungagged on screen, and immediately regagged (OTM) after blowing a raspberry at her jailer. The whole atmosphere implied that bondage was funny and entertaining in itself. An ep in a later series had classy Wanda Ventham tied and cleave gagged on a toilet, wearing a shower cap over her face. It inflated and deflated as she breathed and mmmphed furiously. Decidedly and knowingly kinky, The Two Ronnies. I think one of the dancers tied up in Rentadick resembles newsreader Angela Ripon (sp?), who was certainly an expert dancer, as her guest slot on the Morecambe and Wise show proved. I don't know if she ever danced professionally, but she was obviously trained, and the time was about right. I wonder... :-) |

| A bit off topic, but whatever.
I dropped by a rental store near here looking for some rare scenes on DVD and wandered into the VHS section. Found that they have a used vhs of "Hangman" for $3. Anybody want? I'm going to head back there and check out what other old stuff they have. I can't cap from VHS though, so I it is kind of useless to me, but I thought I'd offer it. Record number: 4761 Title: Hangman (2001) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Madchen Amick, Stephanie Moore, Rosemary Dunsmore Description: Madchen plays a woman involved in an investigation into a killer who uses the game Hangman to taunt the investigators. Stephanie plays a pretty victim who is gagged with duct tape and bound. She meets an unfortunate end. There is a 2nd victim named Dr. Natalie Walsh, played by Rosemary Dunsmore. You see her tied up with the noose around her neck as Madchen Amick plays hangman with the killer over the computer, but she is not gagged as she pleads with Amick's character to save her. Unfortunately, the only time you see her tape-gagged is when she is already dead and the police cut her down and try to revive her. The killer sneaks up on Madchen's character and puts a strong hand-over-the-mouth on her and . . . wait . . . it turns out Madchen's character is in on the killings. Her fellow invesigators are onto her and she trys to throw them off by placing herself in the victim's predicament, arms plastic-wrapped behind her back, mouth tapegagged. They come to her rescue in the nick of time but they aren't fooled. |

I found you a "Bionic Woman" fan site that seems to have pretty comprehensive episode descriptions, but the info in the Scene dBase is pretty skimpy for purposes of comparison. I suggest an episode-by-episode search for a reference to either the trunk or an "old retired agent." This highlights the recurring problem of people posting info to the forum &/or dBase as if they're being charged by the keystroke. :-( |

If she'd been tied more often I bet "The Bionic Woman" would still be on the air. |

You people never cease to amaze me. I still can't get over the fact that someone knew that that commercial with the blonde tied to the chair while the villain plotted to blow her up was for a game called "Spies A'Poppin'". And that was a couple of years ago now! |
