Karyn Parsons
Nike at Nite is running "Fresh Prince of Belair" reruns nigthly. The episode with Karyn Parsons briefly gagged with white adhesive tape will air Saturday morning at 1:30 a.m. I posted this late to VCR alerts. Some nice mid-range shots of Karyn in this episode.

Just to put in my 2 cents and indicate some interest,
this sounds awesome and would love to see a clip or caps.
Given Anubis' strong reccomendation
it sounds like a must see!
Thanks

Video Mayhem
Regarding The Hole: Should read gagged woman, not women. Also scene is fairly violent as woman is hit over the head with a golf club.

Yep it's been pretty dry these past 40 years.
Database has a few entries from the early 80's and some stuff prior to the 1960s. I searched for "buzzsaw" and "sawmill". We need more buzzsaw scenes. ;)
"Ghost in the Invisible Bikini" w/ Deborah Walley is one of my all time favorites.

Have to work on getting a clip up.

I already had the Medicopter117 scene scheduled for Monday's update but I'll re-edit it and add the complete sawmill scene - it'll be a long one though.

Whilst at it, you may want to look at another episode of this show. It a garbage shredder, but very similar in struggling to avoid the blades. Plus gagged in it.
A good one

Record number: 10635

Title: Medicopter 117 - Jedes Leben zählt
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Anna Werner, Julia Cencig

Description: Episode: "Blutige Spende" (6.7)

Episode starts with Anna Werner cuffed by a wrist to a pole. Shortly after, Julia Cencig is captured trying to rescue Anna and is cuffed wrists in front around a pole. Julia is freed with an axe, which breaks the cuff chain but leaves the cuffs still on her wrists.

Towards the end, Julia is recaptured, tied hands behind and tape-gagged. She's strapped down to a gurney and has a blanket covering her body and the tape gag, so her captor can move her through a hospital to a trash compacting room. Then blanket removed, unstrapped, and put into the compactor. Some good Mmmpphh and struggling as she tries to free herself. Compactor stalls, and captor flees, but some unsuspecting janitors start the compactor up again, more Mmphh and struggle. Finally, she's able to free her wrists, get tape off and scream just as her medic-pilot friends arrive, stopping the compactor in time.

Have to thank our German buddies, especially Peter de K, for alerting us to it, as the show has had a few BEAUTS!

First figured another US show "Emergency" and didn't really pay much attention to it.
But it seems the Paramedics are fighting crime every other episode.
Quite popular with Collectors

The alert states the sequence is early on. That's not my recollection ... but I've been off in these situations before, to my chagrin. Are you certain it's in the first half of the ep?

BTW, the ep title is "Christmas Show".

I posted the title and a further description to DB corrections. Since this is a 30-minute sitcom, I likely errored in saying "early on." The scene starts after the midway commercial break, which would be about 10-15 minutes in depending on how these shows were edited for syndication. The robber enters the lodge right as they go to commercial, then the scene starts when they come back with the camera panning an empty room, then shifting to the group tied and gagged. Just loved seeing Karyn Parsons tied and gagged. The white tape is perfect in this spot and she does give some nice facial expressions.

Right ... saw that, and posted a reply there.

Could you post an addendum to your alert, so folks who don't check Discussion beforehand won't miss the scene?

Thanks advanced.

Sawmill scenes
Speaking of scenes in which a damsel is restrained and placed on a conveyor belt that will send her toward a spinning buzzsaw or some other grisly fate, how about the one in "Get Smart", with Barbara Feldon? She is, unfortunately not gagged, so she can scream her head off.
I also recollect a memorable one from comic books. It involved the Huntress, bound and gagged on a conveyor belt in a crematorium. She is still in costume, with her hands tied in front of her and gagged with a cloth tied over her mouth. She escapes, of course.

Re: Sawmill scenes
I had forgotten about the one in "Medicopter 117" (I only clipped the gag scene.) I also forgot of another recent scene that shows the DiD staple buzzsaw scenes didn't die after the 60's, they just changed. Now instead of the girl having to go toward the saw, the saw just comes to her like in "Serial Killing 101" with Lisa Loeb. It's the homemade version for villians who can't find one in today's shrinking market of abandoned sawmills.

One West Waikiki vs. Crossing Jordan

Can be frustrating, since Cheryl Ladd had a couple DiD scenes in her short-lived TV series "One West Waikiki" as the blonde medical examiner.
