Hopefully, this will work to our advantage in this spot. Many other remakes ("Chainsaw", etc) have not used gag scenes like the originals. Maybe this time the writers will alter the original to add some.

Case in point. In the original "That Darn Cat", snooping Hayley Mills was not captured and tied and gagged alongside the older bound and gagged female. In the remake, Christina Ricci was bound and gagged along with the kidnap victim.

For anyone with capping equipment and access to the channel, I hear the show is repeated on ITV 3 (SKY 119) on December 5th at 6.00 P.M.

I missed it. :-(
Can't get digital. :-((

I want to see a heroine or damsel restrained in a context of Action, Adventure, Fantasy, & *not* in what amounts to a rub-your-nose-in-it snuff movie. Am I alone in this?

I agree!!!
One of the reasons I haven't really liked any of the movioes I've gotten with a LOT of bondage (notice how I never said they were commercial so technically I'm still on topic) is the acting and dialogue are SOOOO bad that it ruins the whole friggin thing.

and lest I offend any of our regs who happen to make... "movies with lots of tie ups"

I have only gotten movies from 2 companies and I bet the tapes from people who post here would pleasently surprise me.

In my defence i would just like to say that the trailer i saw implied a prolonged damsel in distress scene, but not an actual snuff movie. I agree that nasty scenes aren't neccesarily exciting - i for one cannot enjoy the scene in the original The Hitcher with Jennifer Jason Leigh because it ends badly. However a certain amount of dramatic liscence i feel is acceptable, after all is a girl being held captive in an old house any worse off than one tied to the railway line.

Did anyone else tape the 2 hours of ep's 1 and 2 last night? (Tues night 8-10pm ET) First of all, it's a godawful show so god bless you if you sat through 2 hours of this last night. I just got around to watching it and there is a possible upcoming scene, or maybe it's my wishful thinking!

In the last 5 minutes of the 2 hour show, there is sort of a montage of upcoming moments from the show. At one point, they clearly show one of the Ginger's, Rachel Hunter, standing in front of what looks like a stake. No ropes, gag are visible but it sure does look like her hands are behind her back.

Made me think, maybe, just maybe they are recreating that famous "How to Be a Hero" episode scene as a challenge? If so, I assume Mary Ann will be in the same challenge...

If anyone else taped it, watch the last few minutes of the 2nd hour, see what you think? Maybe it is just wishful thinking! Just sayin there's a chance....

Episode 3 is on tonight from 8-9pm ET.

I actually recorded the two hours, but only fast-forwarded through about 30 minutes before realizing this is absurd and I won't waste my time on this. First, Rachel Hunter is still hot but doesn't do anything for me as a damsel, and we've already got a great scene with Nicole Eggert from "Baywatch." Man, did this thing look awful.

Moxx,

Your post was the *trigger* for my post, but it wasn't meant as a personal rebuke. Like I said, it had been building for some time. I simply meant to express that for me (& apparently others as well) movies in which the damsel meets a bad end (for example, at the hands of a serial killer) do little for me, no matter how good a rigging job was dome on the doomed damsel. Your post was sharing imformation. Sorry if it seemed I was on your case. I should have made myself clearer.

It's okay mate FWIW i do understand where you're coming from and i do agree that some scenes can be too unpleasant or horrific to be considered sexy. I do like a little bit of peril in my scenes and that may be more than you consider suitable, i suspect it's far less than others would get off on.
Still each to his own i suppose - to the vanillas out there we are all equally sick!

I watched it & you definitely saw right. A saw another ad a week or so ago that showed Rachael & I believe Nicole Eggart tied to stakes (Nicole's arms above head), no gags, so I have no doubt they're gonna have at least *some* recreation of a headhunter scene.
I imagine I'm in the minority, but I liked the show. I found it held my interest & I can't wait for the next part tonite. And I normally *hate* reality shows (I've never even sat thru a single Survivor episode!). Maybe it's because I'm the world's biggest fan of the original TV show of Gilligan's Island, and I happen to think Rachael Hunter is totally hot (and so is Nicole Eggart for that matter!). A matter of taste I guess :-)

You should note that there's no such thing as "technically"
around here. If I decide you're off-topic, then you're
off-topic.

I found this screenshot, this is probably what you saw. Definitely looks like the headhunter scene upcoming at some point....

ALIAS Season 4 premiere
ALIAS doesn't waste time - in the seaon 4, 2 hr. opener airing Jan. 5, 2005, Sydney Bristow is bound to a chair and tortured. There are promo photos at Jen-Garner.net showing Jennifer Garner strapped to the chair and being tortured with a mask that fills with water. Here is a link, hope it works.

Jack and Bobby
Christine Lahti gets a handgag on tonight's Jack and Bobby. She's breaking up with her boyfriend, and he handgags her so she'll hear him out. Not an especially convincing handgag, but a fairly long scene. Starts around 46 after the hour or so.
