Threw water on her too.

Humourous thing the Major correct about,
way this show starts off you'd never figure have anything like this in it. Only caught it whilst running tape for something thought had more potential.

Hope one of our Japanese friends will be able to ID it.

Clips, caps coming
With Fuzzweb bowing out, it finally got me motivated to try and add some caps and clips from 18 years of scene chasing. I finally got the equipment, but am still working through the kinks of learning how to do this. For right now, with his approval hopefully, I'll be posting stuff at Frank's Yahoo group.

First up, one of the very first scenes I ever recorded. Marcy Walker's classic B&G scene in the barn in "Santa Barbara." The clip posted is only the first part of the scene (it took me 2 hours to get that right!). The quality is not great, but I've seen worse. I'm hoping to be a pro at some point. No caps yet, but they'll be coming.

Lastly, the Yahoo bandwith will be destroyed in minutes, so please don't post any comments about not seeing the file over here. Post it to the group if you must. Stay tuned over there for updates.

Bonanza Scene - Directors Commentary
Howdy pardners.

Apologies if this has been mentioned before - but there is a UK comedy series called 'Directors Commentary' in which Rob Brydon does commentarys for the least likely shows. The set up he is a director who has worked on everything from 'Mr and Mrs' - a twee and cozy quiz to 'Flambards' a quivering corset period drama. His commentarys are incredibly funny - and along the way he does some episodes of Bonanza.

One of these has a woman being tied up by Joe (I think) and it may be a way to get hold of this scene. Now, he doesn't do the full episodes as it would get a little bit tiresome I reckon but - it's still there.

It is also a good show so if you have a multi rgion player or are in UK and didn't watch it then it is very good indeed.

Old Stargate SG-1 'Forsaken' Episode publicity shot.
Anyone remember that publicity shot with Amanda Tapping bound and gagged with wire and black tape from Stargate SG-1? It was a preview of the 'Forsaken' episode of the 6th season. Although the pic was great, the episode turned out to be a let down. Anyone have that pic and can post it? Been looking for it everywhere.

Yep, thanks. Have any idea what magazine that came from?

Thordis, Lovely Thordis...
Wow. AMC showed "Dragnet" (1969) again! As a 14 year old back in the early 70s that scene had a profound influence on me. Seeing her struggling in the ropes, and hearing her lovely soft mewing fired my imgination with all sorts of kidnap BD fantasies. Then the film disappeared off the screen for many years until I saw it last year (on AMC!) and now I must have bumped into it at least 3 times since then. Now if they would only issue it on DVD. Has anybody ever tried to do frame stills of the other 3 girls whose BD pix are shown near the end of the movie?

You're right on the money there, Andre - if I had to pick ONE scene out of all of the rest since, I'd go with that one - perfect in every respect.

Changes to the Database system
Effective immediately, it will be required that you register to be able to ADD scenes to the database. This will not affect searching for scenes.

I have done this because it's been a problem with people not taking the format requirements seriously. This causes way too much work for the unpaid volunteers that maintain the DB. In conjunction with this, I've created an expanded instructions page for adding scenes.

The registration process is free, and (hopefully) reasonably simple. Read the stuff on the page below for details and requirements.

You are free to express your opinions of this move if you like, but there's little chance of me changing my mind. We need a way to be able to personally contact people who are doing things wrong.

Naturally, let me know if you encounter problems.

It's from issue #75 of "XPOSÉ" magazine. (The cover story is "The Two Towers" (LOTR) with a big portrait of Miranda Otto (Eowyn) & says "#74", but it's a typo. It's really issue #75.) Incidently, I made the original Brian's dBase entry for "Forsaken" & included info about the photo & the magazine it came from, but someone has seen fit to remove those details... which of course makes the entry *much* better. After all, months or years from now who would *possibly* want to know the photo exists or how they might go about trying to track down a copy? Sometimes less is *not* more, Mr. Editor.

The correct way to handle this is to go over and ask why on the Database Corrections Page.

Descriptions are rarely touched,
either an episode title format needs to be edited to line up similar with previous entries for Search, an updated improvement, or when a complaint is made.

I'll have to go through the notes on this show and see if anything for this one listed.
I'll post over on the Database Corrections Page.
