More Great Spanish scenes
Just saw a promo for this movie coming up at Sat Midnight (Friday night) on Univision and didn't see it in the DB.

Spanish movie. Excellent scene in the last 20 minutes - hot girlfriend (Andrea Aguirre?) grabbed by bad guy as trap for Luis Reynoso, first gagged with duct tape in van, then in next scene tied to a pole in some warehouse and nicely gagged with duct tape. Many great closeups.

If anyone has better info, I've only seen the last half hour of this several years ago so I'm not sure which girl listed on the IMDB page is the correct one.

Young Actresses In Bondage
Laura Mars keeps on dissapointing , no suprise here. Would luv to see Linsay Lohan get the full treatment with a real tight cleve. Hear she's a real pain on the set of her new movie. Maybe someone will play a joke and tie her up and leave her in the trailer for a while. Another annoying young brat is Amanda Bynes, who cannot act to save her life. She makes L.Lohan look like Meryl Streep. All she does is roll her eyes and make goofy faces. This is acting? Put a tight cleve on her and she'll have a reason to make faces with her eyes. One good thing though, is that I've noticed she often wears pantyhose on her show, which is nice to see on a young actress today. Now if we can only see her and Linsay get a good full treatment scene!

Bloodrayne
A few picks of the video game inspired film showed up. It stars Kristanna Loken as the lead. The pic offers a nice sign. Also, Michelle Rodriguez has a role, who knows.

All I'm saying is look at Seinfeild, Frasier, Friends, Hope and Faith, My Wife and Kids, ect. Aside from some lame handcuff scene you don't see bondage like it was in the sixties. All those classic scenes of Ginger and Mary Ann bound and gagged to stakes, Lucy hopping around her apartment bound and gagged, 99 tied and gagged in the closet. Those "full treatment" days are long gone replaced by "sophisticated" humor. I hoped no one held their breath waiting for Jennifer Aniston or Cortney Cox to get bound and gagged.

Any ideas.

It's in the scene database. One of the DiD's is the late Ina Balin.

Record number: 3191

Title: It Takes A Thief
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Ina Balin, Gail Bonney

Description: Episode: "The Radomir Miniature" (1.3)

Al is in Bulgaria to rescue a scientist's daughter. He ends up capturing an attractive Bulgarian secret police captain (Balin). She is tied up in the back of a car with ropes and over the mouth gagged with a white cloth. There are several scenes and some struggling. During the rescue, the daughter's chaperone (Bonney) is bound and gagged, too.

Veronica Mars

My experience with the "VCR Alerts" postings has been that the Lifetime Movie Network is probably the most prolific channel for B&g scenes w/ "name" actresses.

Bondage humor in drawings

I suppose it still exists, but it's now considered more of an "adults-only" topic.

One of my favorites was a b&w cartoon in Playboy (USA edition) about 20 years ago. One Roman guard is smiling as he talks to the newest soldier added to the galley ship of topless female rowers (think of "Ben-Hur", but with a rows of topless nubile slavegirls with their wrists chained to their oars): "If you think this is something, wait till we run into a rainstorm!"

That particular bit has been around for a number of episodes--it explains Veronica's bad girl reputation without her having to have consented to sex. But, the show is definitely getting darker. On the preview for next week they said how dangerous this next assignment would be, although it didn't look like she was in much danger.

Will Eisner is Dead
The Spirit's creator passed away on last Monday. He was 87. He was a great artist. One of the last masters of the Golden Age outer Ocean. 'Remember "Nubin"? "Hawks of the Seas"? He was also a pugnacious soldier against all kinds of racism.
So long master Will. Chapeau bas.

Oh!..of course! My point was that the show is moving away from touching moments between a girl and her friends and moved inot the realm of lost underwear and girls being stuffed into ice boxes by serial killers.

Re: Veronica Mars..soooooo close!
the previews for next week's episode show Veronica "kidnapped" from her car by several guys dressed in robes and hoods. they didn't catually show her carried off but they opened her car door and the preview stopped before it showed her grabbed.
Anyhoo...
I COULD FRIGGIN SWEAR that when I freeze framed the bad guys opening her car door I saw what looked like ropes in the one guy's hands.

If American television were the only outlet for bondage humour, I think you might be correct, with the proviso that I don't see much of it these days. But wasn't there a scene In "The Fresh Prince"? And what about "VIP"? Not exactly noted for a serious approach, from what I've seen.

On the other hand, the rest of the world is doing just fine, thank you.

British classics since the '60s (which gave us "The Avengers") include the two excellent threads in "The Two Ronnies"; a scene in "Sorry" that actually gets a laugh out of a presumption of fetish; a multi-hostage James Bond skit in "Russ Abbott's Madhouse"; Samantha Janus getting it an ep called "Heavy Bondage"; and Ruby Wax leaving Jayne Torvil to struggle and mmmph mightily, trussed from shoulder to foot and tightly OTM gagged in front of a mirror. There are others.

"Blue Peter" is well known for its series of spoof adventures in which female presenters get the treatment, and Saturday morning TV produces the occasional scene. For discussion of these, I'd recommend the forum in the Rob's Damsels site.

France seems to be similarly orientated, not only in comedy and kids' shows but also in the incomparable "Nestor Burma" scene played for laughs at the end. No doubt such goings-on occur in the rest of Europe, too; foxy presenters on light-hearted magazine shows have always been fair game.

Japan is famous for its physical ordeal game shows, but Thailand so far seems to have the ultimate in "Game Jarachon." The aim is to rescue a shackled and tape gagged damsel from converging walls by answering questions correctly. A manic presenter keeps ungagging and regagging the lady, and it looks hilarious. From clips I've seen, the gag is only a piece of gaffer tape with a non-tacky centre, but the willing (and usually gorgeous) "victims" play it up to the hilt, mmmphing and pulling gag faces.

As for other media, Red's Realm has featured pages of bondage cartoons from many sources, some of them mainstream.

The Internet is becoming quite a major medium in itself. As Pat says, his site concentrates on amusing scenes and humorous commentary about bad ones. "Bondage humour" is a very wide subject; to limit one's comments to American TV shows doesn't seem appropriate to the scope of the discussion.

There are also fakesites, including my own on Yahoo and Hush's on Whitelord, which take a comic approach to the subject. Great artists we may not be, but we are certainly joking about bondage, and our work is seen by many. I wouldn't pronounce bondage humour dead just yet.

And to ad insult to injury, did you see the promo for the new season shows for "Jack and Bobby"; it shows a full frontal naked guy tied to a tree with a lot of rope, neck to toe, and a super hot girl standing next to him giving him the hairy eyeball as he tries to cover up. Obviously, a college prank thing; apparently, in the USA, it's still ok to tie guys up for comedy.

The last American show that did it well not too long ago was "Popular" (the mad scientist brain switch episode), nice gags too.

Re: Ahem
I was just kidding around. I'll grant you there's not much INTENTIONAL bondage humor on TV. Lots of UNINTENTIONAL stuff, though ... we still have gags that fall off of their own accords, ropes the actress must struggles to stay in, etc.

Promos seen before a show first airs don't tell you much.
They are normally a compiliation of previews from a number
of upcoming episodes.

I thought that the main (male) antagonist in this pic looked like Dr. Smith from the original Lost In Space Series. Of course, it's not (he died in 2002). Instead, according to IMDB, it's Ben Kingsley! Gandhi goes medieval!
