Nice scene for the barefoot lovers. |

Right now on FX the two parter "I Want My Psycho Dad" is airing. Not the best scene in the world but worth taking a look. |

Tuesday January 18 01:31:09 2005 Nancy Drew book scenes |
Anyone familiar with which Nancy Drew books contain scenes, illustrated or not? The only one I know for sure is Mystery at the Lilac Inn. There's always a bunch of these at Half Price books and I'd like to be able to grab them before someone else does. |

Gwen (Liza Huber) was seen in a Posey straitjacket in the
very final scene of Monday's episode. Gwen had went off the deep end and stabbed her longtime romantic rival Theresa a couple of weeks ago, and was being held in a jail cell. I've read a spoiler, stating that she'll be seen trussed up again on Friday's show; she wasn't shown in the previews for Tuesday, but I'll be taping just in case. |

I've been meaning to remark how good the reruns of Hunter on TVLand look. It looks like they did some re-mastering work on the video probably for the upcoming DVD release. I was comparing it to the reruns recently of TJ Hooker which don't look nearly as good. I was so looking forward to getting a really good copy of "Night of the Dragons" (Stephanie's best scene IMO), but they skipped that episode. |

I had the same thoughts on "Hooker." The footage has definitely not been upgraded, but I'm not surprised since this show hasn't appeared on any U.S. stations in at least 10 years and A&E must have gotten the rights dirt cheap since they're not even attempting to run the reruns in a watchable time period. Still, better than nothing. I just hope A&E runs all the episodes and doesn't pull it. |

Tuesday January 18 18:27:28 2005 DIDs in T.V. // women wearing stockings |
My wife and I have noticed that the female detective or investigator or cops on current T.V. series no longer are vulnerable - they never get captured, tied up or gagged. They barely even get a chink in the armor. What happened to Hunter or T.J. hooker, where the women were more likely to get in danger? It makes for better drama, and even my wife agrees....
In addition, we have noticed that women ages about 20 to 40 do not wear stockings anymore... at least around our company.. When we are with friends at their house , home, or out to dinner, my wife always wears stockings. Part of the reason is because she knows I like it, and part of it is because it makes her feel feminine.. None of the other ladies wear stockings while in this company, and my wife has her exposed stocking feet being viewed by my friends when she removes her shoes... Don't quite understand either of these two issues... |

"The Clue of the Tapping Heels" has a lengthy and vividly described scene that is also illustrated. I've looked through both the modern and older editions, and the scene in the older edition is more decripitve, and the illustration does a better job of conveying the bound and gagged Nancy's sense of imperilment. |

Tuesday January 18 19:29:18 2005 Guiding Light question, Ms. Mayo |
Is anything happening noteworthy on Guiding Light? I read last week that there was a possible scene upcoming but haven't heard anything since.
Also, sad news..I just read that Virginia Mayo has died at age 84. I think her one & only claim to "our" fame was her short, blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" |

Does anyone remember a scene from the 70's in which 2 women were taken hostage by home invaders? If I remember right 1st a middle age woman is tied to a chair and blindfolded. Then her daughter comes home and is chair tied and gagged. The scene was lengthy and at one point both women
were gagged. The gist was thta the daughter was to be killed because she'd senn the burglars. And the mother trying to talk them out of it.This went for quite a while w/eventually both being rescued.Any info appreciated |

Anyone know if there are gag scenes in the book. Also, Rumer is nothing to look at. After seeig Bruce and the girls in a photo from the Tsunami concert, its too bad Scout couldn't of been in that role. |

A middle-aged mother and teenage daughter are held hostage in their home by jewel thieves who force the father to open his jewelry store. Both mother and daughter are tied to chairs and have their mouths taped. That's where the similarities end though as both mother and daughter were killed. During their escape, the thieves carjack and kidnap another young woman and her boyfriend. Both are taken to the thieves hideout where they're tied to chairs and have their eyes and mouths taped. They manage to escape. |

The Case of the Vanishing Veil has two scenes(no gags in either--plenty of squirming in both)--this is from the second: "Her wrists hurt and so did her legs. This was the second time this creep had tied her up while she was unconscious!" Search Nancy Drew on Amazon, and then you can search inside books--use words like tied, rope, bound, gagged. Hours of fun. |

Did anyone catch the end of this show? (Telemundo, 9pm Eastern) I caught the last second of the previews for tomorrow that showed Salome riding unconscience in the car with some guy then a shot of him putting a pillow over her face. Was she kidnapped tonight or will it start tomorrow? Since she is the main female lead, I don't think she'll be put down so it may lead to something good. |
