Dose anybody know whom their favorite boyish damsels are?
Here's a few of mine in no particuler order: Hudson Leick (Cold Heart) Jennifer Garner Alyson Court Leslie Hope (sorry, but Elisha is the Spoiled brat type) Cameron Diez (ALLO) Betsy Russel Angie Harmond Kate Jackson (TV's tomboy angel) Drew Barrymore (Movie's tomboy angel) Lise Cutter Those were just a few. |

Nope, just locked in the trunk. This show can be infuriating, but as promised I did cap the handgag scene if anyone is interested. As an added bonus, I also capped the scene where Vanessa Marcil and Nikki Cox wake up on a bed after a night of partying. Also saw an "ER" promo. Abby is kidnapped in a van and when the thugs open the back door.....we see Abby sitting there not gagged but it looks like her hands are tied in front. |

Yeah... but now & then, you look up... & NIKKI COX is on the screen!!! {Sigh} Yeah, the Molly-in-the-trunk thing was incredibly ILLOGICAL & frustrating, but the *NIKKI-&-Marsha-&-the-tiger* scene was cute, & so was the *NIKKI-&-Vanessa-wake-up-in-bed* scene. In short, I'd watch a show entitled *NIKKI COX READS THE PHONEBOOK*... & my admitting to watching Las Vegas proves it. :-) |

Tuesday January 11 13:21:55 2005 "24"'s Kim Raver in TV Guide |
In the past there has been discussion about how actresses feel about getting tied up and comments they have made along those lines.
In the current issue of TV Guide Kim says, "On one of my first days on set, (director/coexec. prod.) Jon Cassar walked up and was like, 'Hi, I'm going to bind and gag you'. Keep in mind I had never met the man before. The next thing I know, I'm thrown in a van, my eyes blindfolded and my hands tied, thinking, 'What am I doing here?!'" She laughs. |

Nope, just locked > in > > the trunk. > > Memo to tv bad guys: If a damsel is on the phone, wait until she finishes her call (even if she's saying something about you) before you grab her. Its a lot less suspicious than 'he's here and unhhh.. help!' on someone's answering machine. Keep a roll of duct tape handy in the glove compartment of your car--you never know when it might come in handy. You might even want to leave some rope in your trunk. If you've committed identity theft/murder, and you've heard a damsel talking about you on the phone, don't use the dead guy's credit card on your escape. Use cash! She probably had enough cash on her for gas, even if you didn't. You also probably don't want to get out of your car to pump gas while you have a damsel untied and making noise in the trunk. Reinforce the lights in the back of your car on the inside if you're going to stash a damsel in the trunk. Disconnecting the turn signal is the oldest attention getting trick in the world. If your car can't get more than about fifteen miles outside of Vegas when you've apparently been driving for hours (judging by the sun) you may want to get a new car. Above all, tie up the damsel you've stashed in the trunk, and gag her. That way she can't disconnect your lights, and pound on the roof and yell until she gets noticed (and did this idiot of a bad guy leave his shovel in the trunk with the untied damsel? That's a good way to get stabbed in the stomach with a shovel as soon as you open the trunk). |

Tuesday January 11 15:31:03 2005 Janina Flieger |
She has a web site at http://www.janinaflieger.de with a guestbook ('GASTEBUCH') at the bottom of the menu.
I'd like to ask her how it was filming the scene at the link but I can't write German. Could a German speaker ask an innocuous question that might yield a detailed reply? Hint: It's better using a female name as a moniker. |

I also agree I'm getting close to tossing this show from my recording schedule. I've already done that with "Crossing Jordan." These multiple storylines are infuriating. There just isn't any time to develop anything. If Sims had been grabbed at the 30-minute mark instead of at 45 we could have had some kind of exchange/gag scene until the rescue. |

I carry duct tape and electrical tape in case of a leaking hose, (used it once for that purpose) also have first aid kit along with parachute cord in case I need it. If he had a shovel with him, he'd would have binding material. |

Tuesday January 11 17:12:51 2005 Old scene |
here's a holy grail that's not even in the database. I'm looking for confirmation from some oldtimers before posting. In the mid 70's Norman Lear produced a sitcom called "All That Glitters". The premise was that gender roles were reversed from what we know. Therefore women were in positions of power and men were the stay at home types, often objectified by the women. Anyway, one episode had Linda Gray (later Sue Ellen on Dallas) kidnapped and she was bound hands behind her back and cleve-gagged. She was wearing a pantsuit with boots. I thought it was a pretty good scene. Anyone else remember it?

Most of the old bangers I've operated have also contained old carbon ignition leads (the replacement of which never solved that elusive electrical problem), old blankets in case I needed to get out and get under, jump leads and, of course, a tow rope. Also, if you're totally reckless with your intended prisoner's health, cold-start spray contains ether. Drive a real-world car 15 years old or more rather than a shiny new product-placed bourgemobile, and it's perfectly natural to carry a shedload of binding material! |

Hooker, Dangerous Curves, Partners in Crime, etc etc were grade Z. Shows that had good scenes and were of as high quality as Melrose Place, let alone the Avengers, are quite rare. Given that the syndicated action shows seem to have bitten the dust, we should be thankful to NBC for reviving stupid TV with lots of beautiful women and simple-minded action. Vegas is a hit, so its likely to be imitated a good deal (Desperate Housewives is also a hit, but apart from the beautiful women it involves witty story lines, which are a lot more difficult to copy). And as its often been said around here, be patient--all great shows had lots of duds and missed opportunities. |

Tuesday January 11 19:03:00 2005 question about yahoo groups |
I hope this isn't considered off topic, as it is in regards to the yahoo didcap groups. When you visit the homepage of the group, you can scroll down and see how many new photos were added in the past 7 days. My question is.....is there any way of knowing WHICH folder those pictures were added to? I am a member of several groups and I check them all about once a week or so, but when I'm looking for the new pics, it's hard to tell where the old stuff ends and the new stuff begins, especially since many groups have similar content. Thanks very much to anyone who can help. |

---- In your Yahoo group membership, did you opt to receive e-mail from that particular group? If you don't want to get inundated with e-mails (particularly those w/ attachments that take up a lot of memory), I opt for the Yahoo Groups "Daily Digest" option. *Most* persons adding material to folders will indicate which folders they've added it to. |

Tuesday January 11 20:17:17 2005 General Hospital possiblity |
Today on GH the good guys were plotting to get the evil Helena to "try and kidnap Emily" (their words). Summeries for Thursday and Friday don't look good as they mention "Helena gets a surprise when she moves against Emily" & "Helena's plans for Emily go awry". However, it could be like the Twilight Zone episode where the kidnapper gets on a tape gag before being stabbed in the side. |

The most sensible thing was for him to kill her immediately. That's true in many of the cases where we get scenes, it's only because it's TV and they don't beat women into submission or to death very often that we get most of our tie-up scenes. Just remember the wise words of Joel and the 'bots, "Just repeat to yourself it's just a show, I should really just relax." |

I've just come to realize that the automailer for the site has quit working. That means the "contact me" form doesn't work, nor does the Database registration. I'll do the latter by hand until it's fixed. To get a hold of me, use direct email.
If you sent me anything via the form after Jan. 5 or so, I didn't get it. |

Tuesday January 11 21:51:35 2005 Veronica Mars |
Well, there's a sub-blink scene tonight. Veronica Mars gets nabbed. Next scene she's in the trunk of a car, rapidly undoing the ropes tying her hands in front, then she removes the hood on her head. There's no real shot of her tied up. But at least the show is moving in the right direction. Somewhere around the '40 mark. |

Tuesday January 11 21:53:21 2005 Veronica Mars TEASES again |
First when she gets arrested in the beginning...we don't see her hands in the cuffs. Secondly when she gets grabbed by The Tritons, it fast-forwards to her taking a bag off her head in a car trnk. You can't tell from the ropes HOW they were tied on her...were the ropes holding the bag over her head or not? Or were here hands tied in front and she managed to get them loose? I think the writers of the show are lurking here and are out to torture us! |
