on Friday's show. The show ended with her mother loosening the straps, and Gwen escaping and lunging after her. |

The previews for next weeks Kellie Martin "Mystery Woman" look like she will just be doging cars trying to run her over, which is what Lea Thompson did tonite. So far these two shows remind me more of "Murder She Wrote" the early years than anything else, sigh... |

| was it just me or did BBC america chop a big chunk out of Shirley Eaton's scene last night?
it seemed they went to commercial just as Templar was about to take her gag off and I ws under the impression she mouthed off and he put it back on..I think I have sene that scene on the puter but never seen the actual episode on TV. |

Yes they did, I was taping and they cut out the entire interaction scene from when the bad guys leave the room; Shirley's classic struggling on the bed, lot's of mmmphing, Saint pulls down gag, she goes off on him, he puts it back, waits, she nods, great close ups... all cut. Too bad, this is one of the greatest scenes of all time in mho; Eaton in her prime (had just done Goldfinger), super sexy turtleneck sleeveless sweater dress, great, great struggling, very nice white OTM gag, many of the long body shots on the bed look like a cover from the classic detective magazines of the 60's. Much sexier and more fun and exciting than the openning scene in Dragnet 69. |

This was the first time I recorded "Avengers" on BBC and was very disappointed with the quality of the footage. Didn't expect DVD remastered copies, but it wasn't very good. Thought the episodes would have had some sprucing up over the years. Still, very nice scene. |

The Diana Rigg scene was also butchered, not as badly as Shirley Eaton's, but the scene was shorter than when originally shown. Let's face it BBC AMERICA is showing the butchered versions of all THE AVENGER episodes. Most of you know which episodes I'm referring to, so look forward to truncated versions of the lady with the scold mask on and most of Linda Thorson's big scenes. |
