Minor West Coast "Talking About It" Alert
For those who like to hear actresses talking about bondage scenes there's a tiny moment in the second half of tonight's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" with Kim Raver from "24".

Raver: "So on my first day on the set they were like welcome, we're going to shoot this first scene and then they basically blindfolded me, gagged me, handcuffed me and threw me into a van". (Then smiles)

Ferguson: "Really? So it's just like New York."

Raver (a New Yorker) laughs hysterically.

Not much really, but if you like that sort of thing, there it is. In the second half of the show that aired at 11:35 Central on CBS.

Law and Order SVU
Probably won't be anything, but a killer is obsessed with (the old snapshots and newspaper clippings covering the walls--do stalkers really do this?) Lt. Benson (Mariska Hargitay) on tonight's new episode. Hard to imagine this show would veer far enough from its formula to have a scene for Mariska, but you never know. Unless someone out there already knows.

I musta missed this one
from a Yahoo article about FCC complaints on indecency...

"Copps criticized Monday's rulings as "rather cursory decisions" that did not address the objections of viewers nor those of skittish broadcasters worried about what may be too racy to air. He singled out concern for a movie that aired on ABC in May 2003, "The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer."

A scene from the movie cited in the complaint included a male character tying up a woman in bed and then applying ice to her abdomen. "

I musta missed this one....caps/clips, anyone? -

Ann Margret
If you ever come across the book at the link, it has a picture of a lobby card of Ann's B&G scene from Criminal Affair.

I have the book, where can I find the movie? Has anyone watched to see how long the scene is?

Re: Ann Margret
Ann Margret doesn't look very good in the pic (black hair, heavy mascara), you wouldn't know it was her.

She's shown just being rescued with the whie cloth gag hanging around her neck. Seems to be a hog-tie but extremely loose rope around her ankles.

Sorry about that. I didn't see it in the DB, so I posted. Should've looked around more.

Sky Captain deleted DiD scene
FYI, the DVD of "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" *DOES* contain the deleted scene of Sky Captain (Jude Law) & Polly (Gwyneth Paltrow) in chains. Details: iron manacles, arms-over-head, standing inside a steel cage, no gags, & Polly's in her full costume. The scene is "raw", with blue screen & draft CGI animation for backgrounds. It's not worth buying the DVD *just* to get this scene. It's marginal. Of course, if you saw "Sky Captain" on the big screen & you're one of the ones that "got it", you're buying the DVD anyway. :-)

It's a sad fact of life that attention spans are not what they were, and that 'one hour' shows are shrinking. Did you know a 1960's episode of Star trek ran 49m, Enterprise is 42m, thats a loss of 7 minutes in 40 yrs. The BBC have always been commercial free of course but they always produced 50m episodes of shows like Bergerac and Blakes 7 because it made them easier to sell overseas. And yes, they did conciously include a fade mid-episode to accomodate other station's add breaks.
It's slightly reassuring i think that while the rest of television is shrinking the BBC is actually making longer dramas with more and more shows (Spooks, Hustle) actually running 60m. Of course the same could be siad of HBO in the US where 1hr drama actually seems to mean just that not 40m of drama and 20m of ads.

Days of Our Lives...Again
Thank god for stupid characters. For those that watched or read a summery for today's US episode, Billie and Bo got free, but all the Days characters have become mindless idiots. Their stupidity leads them to be recaptured amd retied briefly tomorrow.

Re Scare Tactics
An OTM gag, you say ? Hands tied in front ?

Obviously the butt of the joke has no knowledge of what's a secure gag and rope bondage and what's not.

Nice premise for a joke, though. I'm surprised the guy didn't have a heart attack.

Mi Gorda Bella still producing minor scenes
Want to apologize if this is the wrong place to post this, but this isn't a VCR alert so much as a history report with a bullish future.

Mi Gorda Bella airs on Telefutura at 5PM EST in the USA and has been producing a steady stream of scenes for the last several weeks, although they are usually kind of loose and I haven't seen a gag yet. But it seems every week without fail there's a lengthy bondage twist in the storylines. This week there's been extended blindfold scenes with a reasonably attractive young blond in lingerie hooking up with a guy who wears a mask and doesn't want his face to be seen. So for him to take the mask off, she has to wear the blindfold. Also underway is a lengthy straight jacket scene, worn by a kidnap victim whose ankles are also tied with what looks like torn sheets. She also is wearing a blindfold. Unfortunately she's also getting smacked around and she keeps getting knocked off the chair she's sitting on.

The best scene in the last few weeks was a chair tie where the young brunette was secured at both wrists and both ankles, with zero slack in the rope, who suffers the indignity of the attacker sitting on her lap and trying to stick his tongue down her throat.

Yesterday, the hottest woman on the show was kidnapped by another hot woman, but the scene didn't even feature any restraint at all! I keep watching because it seems like sooner or later someone's really going to get it, and I'm hoping it'll be her. There has been at least one other kidnapping in the last month (also resulting in a loosey, but at least it too featured some nice lingerie).

Any notable scenes learned of beforehand will be reported on the VCR alerts page, of course!

Could have some potential
I was cruising through the "Coming Soon" website and saw the following. Might have some potential when it finally gets to the theatres.

Production Weekly reports that Gregory Nava is in talks with Jennifer Lopez, who he directed in Selena, to star in the thriller Bordertown.

Lopez would play Lauren, an impassioned American reporter for the Chicago Sentinel who heads to Juarez, a Mexican bordertown, in order to investigate a series of mysterious slayings involving young factory women from all over Mexico. As she discovers hundreds of victims, she gains the trust of local factory workers but falls into danger.

Production on the film is scheduled to begin March 7th in Mexico.
