After checking notes a little more thorough.... Record number: 1855 Title: Climax Medium: TV Series Actress: Linda Christian Description: Episode: "Casino Royale" The first time Ian Fleming's famous character, James Bond appears on screen, it's as a fast-talking American agent called Jimmy Bond, played by Barry Nelson. In the climactic scene, a stout Peter Lorre menaces Valerie Mathis (Christian). Wearing an evening dress, her wrists are bound behind her and she's cleavegagged with a thick piece of cloth or a scarf. "Climax" was a 90 minute live anthology series. The only extant copies of this production were off kinescope. An airing on a local PBS station was of about fifty minutes duration (no ads), and the scene pops around the 39' mark, shortly after Act III begins. It runs for about seven minutes, although Ms. Christian is ungagged early on. |

Tuesday December 28 11:12:33 2004 Erika Eleniak - Captive |
I have read about a movie starring Erika Eleniak called 'Captive' in which Eleniak's character is held captive in an 'evil' insane asylum. It was made in 1998, and sounds like a TV movie/straight to DVD job.
Has anyone seen this? Any restraints on the lovely former Baywatch babe? I suppose a tight straitjacket, ankle ropes and a nice fat ballgag are too much to hope for? |

I'm sure you've got a point there TG. i couldn't help noticing in Terror Amolng Us for example that Susan Haskell's cleve is nowhere near as tight as that of her three co-stars, perhaps this is related to the fact she had higher billing. Also any scene of this nature requires a degree of trust between actress, director and - in many cases - co-star. if an actress has issues with either of these parties she may be more reluctant to submit to anything that limits her freedom. I can imagine a scenario where the actress may consent to having her ankles loosely tied but not her wrists for example. After all when you see those close ups of lovely bound wrists how do you know it's the same actress, has nobody heard of body doubles? |

There are so many people in the studio during the filming, it's not like the actress will be tied up and left, or worse, abused. And I don't think that the tighter cleaves in TAU were necessarily that tight--they just "appeared" tight. Basically, I think that all actresses are expected to act--and being tied is simlply a job requirement. I think that to the actresses in a mainstream scene, a bondage scene is just another hassle in order to get the job done. |

I actually just picked up the movie, and the very first blooper on the unrated widescreen version has Ms. Applegate with one hand handcuffed to some type of gasoline tanks. Of course, because it's a blooper, her hand slips right out of the handcuffs and everyone laughs. |

Was this the 2 disc special edition that includes "Anchorman: The Adventure Continues"? Also noticed that Best Buy has an exclusive third disc of deleted scenes and interviews that's attached to the back of selected "Anchorman" single and double disc editions. I believe they're limited to 40 per store. |
