Nothing currently on comes close, but Xena Warrior Princess had 49 scenes in 148 episodes, coming in at 33 percent and beating out such stalwarts as The Girl from U.N.C.L.E and The Avengers.

Check out my homepage link for a breakdown on Xena and several other series if you're interested (warning: naked woman at top of page, though if you scroll down to the numbers, she disappears fast enough.)

lol. Someone counted. Sweet.
Ugh, don't remind me of xena, I have seasons 1 through 6 that I will eventually cap, but that is a fair bit of work.

The guy with the radio in #2 is Eddie Constantine, so it's probably a Lemmy Caution movie. Don't know which one.

FUZZWEB Scene ID
The first unkknown scene is "Durchs wilde Kurdistan". the damsels are Marie Versini and Gloria Camara; scene description in the databse is wrong, because there is no ungagging shown in the movie; and the gags consist of handkerchiefs over their mouths, not between their teeth.

FUZZWEB Scene iD
Unknown scene 5 is from "D-Girls", unknown scene 6 is from How to mary a billionaire; I entered descriptions to the database some months ago and you'll find them under no. 10004 and 10134 repsectively; for identification in scene 6, The lady on the left is Norika Fujiwara, the lady in the middle is Mai Hosho, and the lady on the right is Maho Toyota; I don't know who the guy is, but I'm sure you all don't care ´bout that, huh;)

Scenes 2 and 3 are indeed Eddie Constantine movies, and they might even stem from the same movie (Hero overpowers bad dark-haired lady and later interrogates her together with his good (blonde) companion)...

By the way, Fuzz: It is still nearly impossible to get access to the pics on your new page; it takes MUCH time and several tries; would you please fix that? Thanks.

Jaclyn Smith
> In this week's issue of People, there is a pic of Jaclyn in an ad for something or other (K-Mart?) and I swear to God she is even hotter looking (at least in that
pic..yowza!) now than in her Angels days. It's a crying shame she has NEVER been given the full rope & gag treatment (that I know of). Even when she has managed to get tied up (a rarety in itself) it's never been anything other than totally lame. What a waste of a hottie :-(
----
That was also my reaction to her ad: Wow! Though in her mid-50s, Jaclyn Smith can still turn heads wearing a short skirt.

But since hope springs eternal, we can note that Elizabeth Montgomery didn't receive her only B&g scene until 1992's "With Murder in Mind" (aka "With Savage Intent").

Which brings to mind a suggestion for scriptwriters: How about a remake starring Jaclyn -- including the movie's early sequence requiring the handcuffed, bound & gagged heroine to gag-talk with her fellow captive, writhe, bunny-hop to the phone, gag-talk to the 911 operator, and return?!

Unfortunately, that cap is the best and only (partial) shot of Kate's gagged scene, unless something was cut out of the version I saw on cable.

On Ally Sheedy, great all the way around. Wendy Kilbourne's scene was promoed in TV Guide in a huge half-page promo showing her tape-gagged.

Isn't it a little bit too easy, and not entirely fair, to take three whole decades and say they were the golden years?

I mean......what's their competition?

Pre-60's stuff that no-one remembers? The single decade that was the 90's?

Ideally you'd need 3 decades either side (30's/40's/50's and 90's/00's/10's) and a broad knowledge of all the scenes to make that claim.

Funny Games?
Does anyone have either a good vidcap or a clip of the gag from Funny Games? I need it as a reference and would be much obliged if anyone could give it to me.

Thanks,

Why be so argumentative over a purely subjective (and non-earthshaking) opinion? When posters talk about favorite scenes, it's not a mathematical proof. Still,

1) Some posters here ARE old enough to remember the pre-1960s era. There were only a few national TV stations (this being before cable TV, heck, before independent TV stations) around -- one didn't need a VCR to cover different stations. One simply twisted the channel dial on their TV -- believe it or not, it wasn't considered a "hardship" to move more than one's thumb.

2) There haven't been posters (at least yet) who have been effusive in their praise of pre-1960s "soap" scenes. However, a number have remembered standout DiD scenes from other shows of that era (e.g., Westerns).

3) Many pre-1960s scenes (as well as 1960s - 1970s) have been preserved and ARE available on video (e.g., from Chivalry Video, etc.). Those who have bought those tapes can comment here.

But I can see why those DiD scenes might seem to pale vs. those of the 1970s and later vintage. To start with, there was grainy, black-and-white film and VERY small budgets until the modern era (one of the reasons "The Brady Bunch" was considered cutting-edge was that the boys wore DIFFERENT types of sneakers). And the DiDs wore much more conservative clothing (Jane Russell in "The Outlaw" pushed the envelope about as far as it could go -- and that was for a movie).

Kinky-napper is right, back in the 50s and 60s most major cities had a NBC station, a CBS station, a Dumont station in the very early 50s, maybe a ABC station a little later in the 50s, and probably local pre-PBS educational station and an unaffiliated station. If you were more than 75-100 miles from a major city TV reception was was a pretty iffy proposition.*

Soaps were on at the same time of day as they are now, early-mid afternoon.

About the only opportunity for us dinosaurs to see Soaps was if we were sick and home from school, or during the summer.

I'll go out on a limb and venture to say that there were very few baby boomers who spent their summers watching Soaps during the 50s and early-mid 60s :-)

I personally have more memories of 30s and 40s movie serials that were shown on early saturday morning TV and occasionally at the local movie house as part of the saturday double feature matinee, than I do of Soaps from the 50s and early 60s.

I'll really, really go out on a limb and say that the only persons who are truly qualified to compare Soaps from 50s with those of the later decades would be women of my Mother's generation.

But, I don't think that there are too many of them posting here :-)

* Cable TV was originally called Cable Access TV [CATV} and was an attempt by communities in outlying areas to provide TV to subscribers. This was accomplished by erecting large towers, covering them with directional antennas, aiming several antennas at each distant transmitter, and hopefully capturing a strong enough signal that could be amplified and sent to subscribers via coaxial cable. No CNN, HBO, ESPN, etc, just the broadcast channels from the big city.

Thanks for posting the Kate Beckinsale pictures. I've never understood why she's not faked more.

Any chance of getting another picure of her in her Underworld costume, say wrapped in chains?

Definitley edited. The version I (alas no more) had on video lasts a reasonable ammount of time. First we are treated to Ms.Mulgrew lying handcuffed and gagged. Just a quick glimpse of her while the villian covers her in a blanket while taking her stepdaughter to the hideout...Leaving Ms.Mulgrew in the van by herself. Then some punks show up and try to syphon the gas out of the van. Ms.Mulgrew wriggles and squirms and lets rip with thoes MMMPPPPHHHs but to no avail. Then we get another brief but decent final scene of the villian uncuffing her ripping off her tape gag which sees her also spit out the packing before she slides along the vans floor hiking up her skirt and stopping JUST shy of providing us with a white pantyhose butt shot. Sadly that perfect ending is missing.

I agree that the Midnight Caller episode is notch. But as with Deadly Lessons it looses points on the fact there is hardly any "mmmppphhhing".

As for Jenniffer The Snake Goddess. Can't attest as I did only see it once and remember it very vaguely. But I remember being very impressed at the time.

Let's hear it for Kate Jackson!
Can you imagine it? Already in the Hall of Fame for one of the most prolific careers in damseldom, she went ahead last April, according to a recent database-entry author, and added to her oevure scenes in not just one but TWO episodes of "Third Watch" in which she made guest appearances, becoming only the fourth actress we're sure of with scenes in at least four different decades. (The others, to save some of you from dashing madly to the database, are five-decade damsel Joan Collins, and fellow four-decaders Candice Bergen and Stefanie Powers.)

She'll be 56 on October 29, according to the IMDb, and it's great to see her still going strong. What a trouper!

Wild Card, Crossing Jordan, Missing
Is there any hope for these series?....who in my opinion continue to tease or stupidly miss many opportunities.

Joely Fisher's character is perfect for a least one scene.
A perky, over confident PI who's frequently walking into dark houses saying..."hello....anyone there?".

Jordan Cavanaugh is another with similiar circumstances.

Finally, Vivica Fox, in my opinion, would most perfect as the tough, no fear driven FBI agent.
