It's ok within limits. Obviously, I get annoyed at
"trying to moderate the page for me", but at the same
time there are obvious cases were things are wrong.

Our good buddy Jay L. refers to these as "linesman calls"
as in helping the ref out.

So for very obvious situations, I won't object.

Nothing of interest in this one. I took a flyer on it recently and the only people getting full treatment are a couple of guys.

Goodlife (the former Nostaligia channel) runs a number of
good shows. Unfortunately, its availability is not good.
Most cable systems don't have it. At least one of the
satellite providers does.

Directv also does not offer this channel, and with all the useless channels they do offer, that's a big letdown. Some cable systems do offer it, but on most you've got to order their digital cable packages.

"I Wanna Be Like Mike !!"
I was perusing some of the movie tv DID caps and VidCaps I have stored throughout the years and it occoured to me that there are several actors that have been the villan/hero in numerous DID scenes...additionally there are some obvious director or producers that have been responsable for multiple did scenes.

With that in mind, one could probably calculate the probability and even the likly frequency of a bondage scene simply by factoring in the director, or male leads, etc, etc.....

For instance...... I found out today thet "North Shore" now has Shannon Dorehty (sp?) in the cast, if im not mistaken, this is a colaborative effiort by AArron Spelling...if that is true, I GUARENTEE that there will be a did scene with in ten episodes....

Just about anything with David Hasselhoff in it had a well bound female somewhere around...and Rutger Howard has multiple movies with bound damsels....

What do you think...perhaps we should factor in a "Mike" into our equasions when we are placing bets on the DID possibilities....

BTW....LAX....NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THATS HEADED FOR A BONDAGE SCENE...MY GUESS....WITH IN SIX EPISODES....

Blindfolds
> One place where blindfold fans will find extensive use of blindfolds is in the softcore sex films that show up on
late-night cable fare. They're frequently used when the director wants to suggest exciting or kinky sex.
----
While I'm admittedly a gag-snob, one favorite scene that wouldn't have "worked" had there been a gag in place was Margot Kidder's comic scene as the coked-up Hollywood B-actress trying to talk James Garner's too-drunk to "get it" cop in "The Glitter Dome" (1985).

After she places his handcuffs on her wrists (behind the back), she then begs him to blindfold her with something (I think his tie was about the only thing available).

"Oh! You blindfoleded me! And you handcuffed me! I'm so helpless... I can't stop you!" she moans and writhes.

Then, "Jeez! You're supposed to ravish me. What the hell is wrong?!"

Re: holy grails
The Meg Ryan talk reminded me of another holy grail scene: Julia Barr's great AMC scene way back in the late 70's. Actually I've seen bits & pieces of it, the holy grail part is to find a good COMPLETE copy.

The scene went on for a few days and had JB tied up in a basement at the bad guy's home. There was really no reason to keep her gagged, but that's what made a lot of soap scenes so cool: They used to gag girls for absolutely no reason.

She was gagged with clear tape AND stuffing. The bad guy kept ungagging her and asking if she would cooperate and then re-gagging her. At LEAST 3 times. She struggled, she mmph'ed... it was awesome.

I'm convinced if this scene was available complete and in good condition, it would rank at or near the top for all soap scenes.

Holy Grail
I have two....

#1 Suzanne Pleshette in "The Power": A rather bad 60's SciFi flick. I saw it on TV one rainy saturday afternoon. I would have flipped the channel but I had a thing for Suzanne Pleshette and the plot was offering a few DiD possibilities. Well as it happens Ms. Pleshette's character gets the treatment from the bad guy (off camera!!!) and is saved by her scientist boyfriend. Not to bore you with the silly plot, but the would be baddie is convinced that SP and her friend are actually good guys and they kiss and make up. Which causes Ms. Pleshette to offer: "You certainly did a good job of tying me up." As she was wearing a short skirt, hose and heels I nearly wept!!! Since then I have found out that in the original movie version of the scene she DID get the full treatment and the idiot TV editors cut it! I hear there are a few still floating around. Man, I'd love to see them.

#2 Jill St. John in a TV pilot called 'Two guys from MUCK'. I never saw it by I have seen a still of my favorite redhead B&G to a post in what looks like a silky night dress or gown.

DAYS
Watched some of the episode and Hope and Billy were tied back-to-back. Feet tied with rope, ropes across their chests. I didn't see any ropes on the hands but they did zoom in once, so it likely was there. Late in the episode, the Nicole character gets a nice hand-gag with her gorgeous eyes spreading wide open. The guy was her friend but he held the hand-gag forever.

Preview for Friday showed Hope and Billie still tied up, but Bo later is in the basement area where they were being held and says "They must have been tied up down here." The other guy says "Yeah, but where are they now?"

Hopefully, they'll need to be gagged in transport because the lead bad guy knows Bo and others are snooping around the hideout. One final note. Early in the episode, the bad guy tells both damsels to be quiet "or there will be consequences." Was hoping he'd pull out a roll of tape but no such luck.

No, this NBC in U.S. I guess our Canadian viewers can give us the scoop on Friday sometime today. Also, if there a reason NBC soaps run a day earlier in Canada? I would think the U.S. would get the first airings since that's the biggest market they're selling to.

I can only answer for the 1980s and I say, yes, but not that much better than today. Much better variety in gags, with white tape being used a lot in the 1980s before the silver duct tape became the rage.

You sure about that? I saw the film in its initial theatrical run, and since I had seen the promo poster showing her B&G, I was really looking forward to it-- and nothing.

This one was discussed extensively a year or so ago, and the conclusion was that the scene hit the cutting room floor before the film was released, and only survived in promotional stills.

I'd be interested to know if you have different information.

Follow the guy's advice, folks.

To anyone who would rather shout and generally be a big girl's blouse in this forum than follow the links, join the Yahoo group and look it up for himself: the movie is called "To My", and the actress is Malgorzata Sorcha.

IMHO, one of the best tapegag scenes ever, and I haven't even seen the clips!

You're correct to my knowledge, Jeb.
I have a videotape of it that's supposed to be uncut. The scene isn't there. Cutting room floor it seems to be.

"Love at First Bite", one of his earliest self-parodies, was pretty good too.

Here are a few scenes that I can immediately recall:

-Lynsey Baxter in "Young Indiana Jones", as a prudish and fussy captive; she is bound and gagged on a train. When Indiana Jones removes her cleave-gag to feed her, she is disdainful of the food he offers, and says, "I'd like my gag back, please."

-Diana Karamikas in "Dead Girls"; she has her boyfriend tie her to a chair and gag her in order to perpetrate a ruse that will help flush out a serial killer who's been victimizing the rock group to which she belongs.

-Pamela Gidley in "Bad Love"; she is secretly collaborating with Tom Sizemore, who perpetrates a home invasion robbery of the home of her employer, a gorgeous actress played by Jennifer O'Neill. Both women are bound and gagged. They are tied to chairs with their hands tied in front, and cleave-gagged with blue bandanas. The scheme goes awry when Ms. O'Neill suffocates to death because of her gag.

In addition to Julie Pinson's latest scenes on Days of Our Lives (with blindfold last week and now today back to back with Kristian Alfonso), the database states that she had a straghtjacket (but no gag) scene on Port Charles. However, for some reason I seem to remember hearing somewhere about ANOTHER scene WITH a gag. Is this true or am I just wishfully thinking?

Bound, not gagged. Fairly decent tying, if my memory is not scene creep. Special to me because, if I'm informed correctly, she was kidnapped something like seven times on The Edge of Night but *never* restrained.

Days Of Our Lives -- spoilers
A Days of Our Lives spoiler website has this to say about Billie and Hope in Friday's episode:

Billie feels the ropes are coming loose and the two struggle as someone walks in. A goon walks in and by the time Bo and John arrive, they only find Hope's bracelet. Tony watches them on his camera. The goons walk Billie and Hope and they stop in front of the control room to tighten their handcuffs. Hope and Billie overhear Tony telling Bart that he's going to blow up the island....as the previews roll.

And at another site, a spoiler for next week states that "Once again Billie finds herself in danger."

Bad news for Billie, good news for us (hopefully!)

To my knowledge, the following U.S. soaps are shown 'one day ahead' in Canada - 'Young & Restless', 'Passions' and in some parts of Canada, 'Days of Our Lives'. In my area (Southern Ontario) we get the same Days episode that the U.S. receives. I'm not sure why this happens, but it does come in handy to see the days ahead episodes (like during the recent Paloma segment on Passions - right, G-MaN?)
