Record #10763
Title: Beloved (1998)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Ayoka Dorsey
Description: Between 50 and 55 minutes in, the lead character Sethe (Oprah Winfrey) recalls watching as a little girl while her mother was hanged. In a dark, firelit flashback sequence, Sethe's mother (Dorsey) is shown in a couple of head-and-shoulders shots, standing near the noose while wearing a cuplike metal gag over her mouth secured by two straps passing over her head and two more around her neck.

Don't know the history of this one very well but there was no action last night. There were scenes of the stalker drooling over Terry Farrel but that was all. If this was the last episode of the series I don't think we'll get to see her bondage scene.

Walking Tall during the Night of the Comet
A previous post referred to the new version of Walking Tall as a remake of Billy Jack. They are separate, and I point this out so no one goes and buys the Walking Tall DVD in anticipation of seeing the scene from Billy Jack.

But speaking of movie remakes, I saw Night of the Comet on Sci-Fi recently. Part of this movie's charm is its play on 1950s "end of the world" themes, blended with elements of the 1980s. But it's starting to show its age.

I say: Remake it with Lindsay Lohan playing the older sister. My first idea for the younger sister was Hilary Duff, but these two probably won't be doing any movies together.

Still, if it could somehow be pulled off, just imagine the scene where they're chained together ...

Pretty much. There is a scene at the end with a room full of smuggled Chinese men & women sitting on the floor with wrist and leg chains. Didn't do anything for me.

Let's hope the were saving the great B&G scenes for when Mya shows up next week.

Unfortunately, it looks like SoapNet ended its run of "Paper Dolls" with last night's episodes #11 & #12, as Saturday, October 2 @ 10:00OPM E.T. SoapNet is airing a "Melrose Place" mini-marathon.

So unless another network picks up the slack, Terry Farrell's b&g scene may continue to be lamented as "The episode that never aired". :-(

JAG ("Going After Webb")
> > last nights season premere of jag blew it big time
> > >
> thanks for the info but PLEASE try to use some punctuation & break up your sentences... that was a killer to read! :-)
----
Since Catherine Bell hasn't had a b&g scene since her first season on JAG, Friday night's episode had the perfect setup for a another.

Lt. Col Sarah MacKenzie finds herself in a deadly duel between spies, as it becomes clear that the reason she hasn't been killed yet is that the master assassin will use her to smoke out whether agent Clayton Webb is still alive -- and if so, where he's hiding.

With about a dozen minutes left, "The Hawk" reveals himself (well, I figured it out five minutes into the episode), pulls his gun on Mac, and as they fadeout to commercial he reminds her that she's "the honey in the trap"... now we'll see who shows up first.

OK, I'm thinking, when the action restarts, viewers will see yet another "Bad guy has b&g'd the heroine so she can't warn the boyfriend 'It's a trap!'" (or become a factor in the climactic shootout or fistfight).

But I guess even master assassins reach their "level of incompetence".

Would obviously mean at this point the episode doesn't exist or wasn't saved. The web had 14 episodes listed and there's no reason soapnet wouldn't take all 14 if they could get them. Too bad. I'd love to know what happens to these shows after cancellation. Does the studios just vault them? Why this 12-episode crap was even available 26 years later is amazing in itself.

Fast-forwarding through episode 12, the show was like an afternoon soap. The stalker was seen about 4 times just stalking the damsel. I'm like "make a move or give it up."

Awful effort all around, and Mac did look very cute in her stripped pants and yellow T-shirt. But let's give the writers some points for realism. When Mac decided she can take the hitman out with a swift kick, she quickly is overpowered. Nice to see that for a change.

First of all, you can't edit database entries, only
database editors can. Secondly, discussion of this really
belongs on the Database Corrections forum.

However, your post and database entry gives me an
opportunity to go over some things about entering scenes
in the database. That means I'm going to rip up your
entry in public, but don't take it personally. These
things happen all too often, mostly from people ignoring
the directions, so it gives me an opportunity to go over some stuff.

Record number: 10774

Title: sleepaway camp 2

First problem is the title. Why isn't it capitalized? Why isn't there a date? The direction say to look it up in the IMDB before entering. Then you can cut and paste the absolutely correct title.

Medium: Movie
Actress: unknown

Description: Stumbled across this low rent horror movie on the horror channel (digital channel 330 in the uk and ireland )

Don't use the term "putz" in the database. Say "guy" or whatever.

Your description is good, you describe how the victim is tied and gagged. We appreciate that level of detail. See? Not all bad.

The movie seemed quite old so i was surprised it wasn't listed here ,and there are 2 others which are shown fairly regularly so i will try check the other 2 out and see what they involve .If the movie appears again in the near future i will get the actresses name etc.And update the post.

Ok what's all his? The database isn't a chat room. Only information pertaining to the entry at hand is relevant, nor do we care about your future plans to update this one.

Re: no bonds
I don't like such scenes, either. I guess I 've seen too many TV shows, movies, websites, what-have-you where bondage is promised but never delivered. If they imply bonds but don't show them, my tendency is to believe the actress isn't really bound. So it takes a lot out of the scene.

Has there ever been a really great bondage scenes where you couldn't see the bonds? Can't think of any offhand.

Alyssa Milano in "Deadly Sins" where she's supposedly hogtied on a bed, her acting skills make up for it looking all tired-like and responding to the guy's attempts to free her when he's pulling on the ropes.

New MTV Show
I saw a promo for a new show on MTV called High School stories: scandals, pranks and controversies. A description of the show says: Take an inside look at the outrageous antics of high school students all across the country. These stories are true-to-life reenactments of actual high school scandals. The promo showed a girl handcuffed in front being led by police. The show begins on Monday (9/27/04) at 3 PM CST.

Dead@17
I just picked up the trade paperback of the comic Dead@17 called 'blood of saints' because I was flipping through and saw some bondage. It is fairly good for a comic, as the damsel is tied in a thong bikini with fairly well drawn rope. She is gagged with tape and there are also several sketches in the 'special features' in the back. I can try my best to make caps if someone wants to host them.

Kinda sorta for one at least: Linda Thorson's scene from the "Look (Stop Me if You've Heard This One Before) ... " ep of THE AVENGERS.

Her ankles are shown bound in the first part, but I don't recall seeing her wrists.

"Te Voy A Enseñar a Querer" a telenovela on Telemundo. Just about every episode has Deborah (Catherine Siachoque) going at it with her boyfriend (not to be confused with her husband) in different roleplaying (cowboy, maid, monkey, intruder.)

I've seen a promo for the season premiere also but it looks like a black OTM gag to me. There seems to be a good chance that there will be multiple scenes including regaggage of the damsel.

Very minimal DVD, no commentaries, no deleted scenes, just audio and subtitle setups, and the trailer.

I know it's sometimes confusing, but "The Moderator"
doesn't have anything to do with the database. That's
solely the province of the editing team (of which I'm
one, but Jay L. is really running the show these days).

Probable scene comin'up!
Our local newspaper has a TV Guide section. The blurb for the next CSI: Miami (airing Saturday, Oct. 2 on CBS) is as follows:

"Criminals murder an ex-surfing champ and leave his wife and young son tied up in 'Invasion'"

The wife is played by Lindsay Frost, who's been tied up a few times in the past. Definitely one to set the ol' VCRs for! I stuck a post on the Alerts page.

Actually, the 2 disc special edition has 11 deleted scenes, 3 alternate endings and 11 behind the scenes featurettes. However none of the deleted scenes or endings feature additional bondage. And it's been a long time since I watched them but I think there may have been a fleeting glimpse in the behind the scenes featurettes but nothing new, just a different angle or two. I also seem to remember that at one point either Ron Howard or Cate Blanchett mentions something about how hard the filming was on Evan Rachel Wood but nothing really specific. I'll have to go back and take a look at the dvd.

"Tape me up"
In CSI last night, and I do not know which episode, so I can not add it to the DB, a kidnap victim is found with her hands and foreamrs duct taped together.

Sadly, they just cut the tape and it fell off, so clearly it had some starnge and inauthentic backing.

Anyway, a little later, the fermal investiagor asks her male colegue to "tape me up". He does!

Sadly, she is soon cut free and the tape falls off the same way.

JAG ("Going After Webb")
> Any caps of that scene?

The point of the previous discussion was to point out that there was NO DiD scene on September 24 (even though it would've made for a more "realistic" climax, given that the master assassin was fully aware of Lt. Col MacKenzie's capabilities with firearms and hand-to-hand combat). Hence, there also is no listing for it in the Scene Database.

The old JAG ("The Stalker") scene has been available on various sites -- plus the episode will re-run within a couple of months.

Thanks for the info CM.

Netflix only sent the one disc with the movie on it.

I don't know if it is Netflix procedure to only send the disc with the actual movie on it, or, they only have the one DVD version of the movie.
