mess with it. They messed with it and look what happened...why?!<<<<<< Who knows? The minds of entertainment execs have always confused me. SCRUBS is probably the best comedy on the air right now, and yet NBC treats it like a bastard step-child. As for SHE SPIES specifically, the changes are beyond reason. If you go back and look a the first handful of episodes, they had a very refreshing, "Yes, we know this is all a big joke" feel to them. TV quality has always been a mixed bag. There ARE quailty TV shows out there, but they stand few and far between. Of course, we the viewers must take a good share of the blame for giving high ratings to such inane fodder as reality TV, Jerry Springer, moronic game shows, and of course, pro wrestling. With a strong market for that sort of garbage, it's no wonder TV execs don't go out of their way to produce high quality shows. I mean, why bother? |

Saturday July 17 06:46:15 2004 The Iron Crown |
Over the 4th weekend Turner Classic Movies showed the Italian film ‘The Iron Crown’ (Corona di ferro, La 1941). I just scanned my tape and a nice DiD popped up.
A princess is p.o. that her lover is interested in another women. So she orders this dame strung up AOH in the woods. The dame is wearing a Greek tunic with her left breast exposed. She has fainted. No gag. No struggling. The princess sticks a spear in the ground in front of the dame and challenges her cheating lover to hit the spear with a bow. There are several nice close ups of the DiD with her proud bosom bare. She is rescued by the Tarzan type hero. The scene pops early in the film just after the Tarzan type hero starts to follow a stag. I could not identify the DiD from the IMDB. I added it to the data base anyway. |

Saturday July 17 07:01:49 2004 Angel Rebelde |
The Spanish soap Angel Rebelde popped up with a DiD on Friday (Univision M-F 2:00pm EDT)
Hooded bag guys grab the dame, blind fold her, tie her arms behind, and muscle her into a car. Later she is forced into a helicopter. Near the end she shown tied AOH. The bad guys threaten her with a knife and rip the blind fold off. This is a nice scene with close ups and shots from different angles. Nice struggling and emoting by the DiD. No gag The scene should continue on Monday. I did not add this to the database |

Does anyone have clips of this show. It had two DID scenes. One was an Asian girl bound & gagged by a genie in Aldin. Then in the 3 little pigs there are 2 of the little pigs(females)bound and gagged in a suitcase by the big bad wolf. |

Saturday July 17 16:42:42 2004 My eyes deceiving me? |
The current issue of Entertainment Weekly (7/16, Brando on the cover) features a still from Spider-Man 2 on page 6. Spidey is peeking around the post, looking down at the tied-up MJ.
But there's no rope... Looks like she's just holding on to a couple of handles placed next to the post. Is it possible they added the ropes in post-production? Am I remembering the scene in the movie wrong? Wha' happen? |

No, she would have been tied up during some of the filming - but because of the length of time it'd take to film the entire scene she would have only been tied up where and when necessary for a close up - much as it might spoil the illusion it would be a much less bankable actress than Kirsten Dunst that would allow herself to be bound for what would possibly be a number of days. |

I know this movie has already been discussed, but I just rented it & wanted to add my 2 pennies. Wonderful movie for bondage fans! Although I know not everyone is too keen on ballgags, the gag looked very nice on the damsel. It was a smaller ball than is usually seen in mainstream scenes that have ballgags (they usually use one of those "too-big-really-for-the-mouth" red balls that IMO don't really look sexy). Since the ball was quite a bit smaller (and black), it fit very deep into her mouth, much like a cleave gag. And the little bit of saliva that could be seen seeping around the ball looked very cute to me. She's seen in 3 different scenes, once tied to a chair, once standing with her arms cuffed & spread above her head, and once lying on her back, strapped in a box. In each scene she was wearing the black ballgag, and was ungagged & re-gagged twice (onscreen). She was also wearing a skimpy bondage outfit in her scenes (black undies, stockings, & heels) Lots of emoting, struggling, & mmmphhh-ing. And long scenes also.....I think she was bound for the last half hour or so of the movie!
If you're looking for a scene with a pretty damsel in not alot of cloths, great struggling, and bondage with a bit of a different look, I wholeheartedly recommend this flick!!! Like the other couple folks who posted about it, I got mine at Hollywood Video. I haven't gone thru the extras on the DVD yet to see if there are any additional scenes in the "deleted scene" or commentary sections yet. |

Productions often do run-throughs of scenes to test lighting, blocking, etc. It's entirely possible the set photographer snapped such a dry run in which Kirsten was in costume & makeup but not ropes. I've seen similar situations in "making of" videos in which the actors are wearing coats or sweats, but the scene is otherwise identical to what eventually appears on screen. |

That's very true - but I think that when they can they will also simulate actors being tied up for various reasons - there's a pic from 'Raiders' where Spielberg is talking to Karen Allen and Harrison Ford at the opening of the Ark sequence and it's pretty obvious that Karen Allen is holding the ropes around her wrists. And in the making of Speed 2 their is footage of Sandra Bullock standing with rope around each seperate wrist and when action is called she simply put her hands together. Conversely I remember reading reports from both Fiona Fullerton ('The Bounder') and Caroline Langrishe (Lovejoy) that stated that they were both annoyed when lunch was called and they were both left tied up during the break. Fiona to a couch and Caroline to a chair - so - I suppose that it depends on what form of bondage they are in. I think Fiona's story was a bit of drama queening as if I remember she was tied with a necktie with her hands above her head and that wouldn't have taken long to untie and then retie her but in the Lovejoy scene Caroline was quite heavily bound with ropes. Of course, it might all depend on the director as well and how much interest he has in having an actress tied up on set!!!! |

Melissa Sagemiller in the commentary says that being bound and gagged meant that she did'nt have to act because the bondage made her feel helpless. They discuss the intricate knots they wanted on the ropes and bring up Murray Glatman the bondage killer and his excellent knots. The rope bondage unfortunately is short compared to the other. There is no discussion of the ballgag. |

Back in the early 1990's when the syndicated TV show Cobra was on, I knew someone in the photo department at Stephen Cannel Productions. They produced Cobra. I was looking for a production still from the Constance Marie episode in which she is tied and gagged twice.
For most of the Cannel shows including Cobra they would take extensive photos from each episode. Apparantly they did a "dry run" of the show and took the photos then and then would do the show again for filming. Anyway, they did have one picture of Constance sitting on a chair where in the episode she was tied and gagged. However in the still she sat in the chair and pretended like she was gagged. She had her lips tightly closed and had a look on her face like she was trying to talk. Disappointing to say the least! |

Note that my clips are from VHS, not DVD, and there are Italian subtitles on the screen. However, I've decided to stick with this version rather than re-clipping with the DVD version, since (as discussed here in the past), this movie was shot full-frame and matted for theatrical release, which means that the VHS contains picture information that the widescreen DVD does not. However (and in whichever format) you end up seeing it, I recommend it highly. It would definitely be among my top ten movie scenes due to its length, variety, and cuteness of damsel. |
