The Irony of the Whole Ten Yards
Just checked out ScreenIt's page for "The Whole Ten Yards", a movie about someone trying to rescue his kidnapped wife. I scanned it for "tied", "bound", etc, and got plenty of results - all of them putzes! How ironic that a movie about a kidnapped wife should be so heavy on the tied up guys instead. Glad I didn't check this one out.

Ella Enchanted...
...has a scene. From ScreenIt:

- We see that the Ogres have Ella tied above a cooking cauldron and Slannen tied to a tree. As they start to lower Ella toward the cauldron, Char shows up and saves the day.

True Crime: Streets of LA bondage
Just came back from playing True Crime: Streets of LA. Not something I'd recommend for its core gameplay, that's for sure, not with the myriad of flaws it has! But anyway, I found something that might be of interest for some readers here.

Episode VII Mission 2 of the "Bad Cop" path is called "Kinks in the System". It takes place in an S&M dungeon and has you trying to use stealth to hide from women and men dressed in leather "dungeon" outfits. Some rooms feature a woman strapped down spread-eagle to a rotating table, while another features a woman chained up at the hands and feet, hanging from the ceiling over a vat of...something or other. You can walk around and check this stuff out during gameplay - it's not just "in the background". Graphics are in an intended realistic style, but are a bit undetailed and muddy - they're certainly not up to Silent Hill 3's par, in other words.

Not my sort of thing as I prefer my "bondage" to be G-rated DiD and not the deeper end of BDSM. Still, it's mainstream material (this is a video game for PS2, XBox and Gamecube, so I imagine it counts), and it is bondage.

Ok, just took a look at the file size of the video caps. Wow, a bit bigger than I expected.
Seriously, just get the whole damn movie. There isn't much that doesn't have a bondage scene in it.

Right after that is a cut scene with the hero's partner, strapped in lingerie with a ballgag. A great and unexpected distress scene.

Lets cut to the chase: are they're any gag scenes or not?

West Coast Alert - Power Rangers Dino Thunder
...assuming the ABC Family channel has a West Coast feed.

Today's episode has the villians kidnapping a tall brunette in a red 'Baywatch' style swimsuit & skirt. She gets strapped to a medical chair and restrained at the lower chest, thighs/wrists and ankles with three black bands. The scene happens about 10-15 minutes in and you see her again a couple of times in this state until released. The bands are pretty loose and nothing is really keeping her wrists in place, but she's pretty hot.

I ran across this by accident then did a quick net search for more info. This was the premiere of the episode (first run Power Rangers on cable - who knew?)and as a result most of the usual online references don't ID the actress yet. I also didn't think to check the end credits.

Maybe if somebody on the West Coast catches it we'll have enough info for a db entry.

I've noticed the Saturday episode gets rerun on Family Channel on Sunday morning too. So check local listings.

Where I live it's on both saturday and sunday at 8:30am so anyone wanting to catch it can probably see it tomorrow morning.

I just looked up the ep title, and it's "Power Rangers Dino Thunder", ep is entitled "Ocean Alert."

Major Carter gets Tortured!!!
Remember the Season 6 episode of STARGATE SG-1 "Unnatural Selection?" It's the one where SG-1 discovers a planet literally over-run (as in *carpeted*) by Replicators & they're changing into very human-like forms. One of them shows a romantic interest in Sam, & she uses it to trick him (it) into letting them escape, leaving all the Replicators trapped in a field of slow-moving time.

Well... [SPOILER INFO!] According to the Gateworld site, in the Season 8 two hour opening episode "New Order", part of what happens is the Replicators get loose, & HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE A REPLICATOR SCORNED!!! "Actress Amanda Tapping ('Samantha Carter') endured gruelling torture scenes for this episode." I have no idea if any restraint is involved, but it sounds promising! Poor Sam!!! I can hardly wait!!! :-) "New Order" will air in the US on SciFi July the 9th.

Robocop: Prime Directive/West Coast Alert
Just happened to catch the episode "Dark Justice" on SciFi while flipping through the channels this morning. In the database, it says there's a scene around the 45min. mark. I started watching around 35-40min. in and saw no such scene.

Is this the correct episode?

All four episodes are playing today. If you get the West Coast feed for SciFi you can probably catch them.

You missed one, fellas...
A while back, in my unsuccessful petition to secure a place in the database for the late and sadly lamented Wende Wagner by way of her "accidental bondage" peril scene in a "Green Hornet" episode, I mentioned in passing that Diana Hyland and Susan Flannery were the series' only bondagees if the database were right.

It ain't, folks. Or at least it wasn't.

Sheilah Wells got the partial treatment in the fourth episode, "Crime Wave." No great shakes-hands tied in front, no gag, blink a couple of times and you could easily miss it, which is exactly what I bet happened in 1966 when the show originally aired. Couldn't rewind the tape and play it back again in those days, could we, oldtimers?

Well we can now, and I did, and the database is one scene bigger as a result.

By the way, are Wagner and Barbara "Della Street" Hale REALLY the only actresses to play crime drama/action series secretaries that NEVER felt rope or tasted cloth? Okay, Hale's hands were tied at the end one of the TV-movies made years after the "Perry Mason" series, but Mason and his partner did this to her as a joke. Besides, if I remember right, they used a scarf.

Gina Gershon interview
The annoying-cute back page section of EW, called "Stupid Questions", this week (April 16th, Quentin Tarantino on the cover) interviews Gina Gershon.

After alluding to her lez roles in "Showgirls" and "Bound", she is asked "Do you watch 'The L Word' and think 'Oh, please, I could out-lez you people tied up and gagged?'"

Gina doesn't join in the fun, though, just saying that she's passing on the lesbian torch.

Are these scenes with actors or computer graphics?

Computer-generated graphics. Although done in an intended "realistic" style, they're not that impressive by the standards of games like Silent Hill 3 or the upcoming Half-Life 2. They're just a cut above Serious Sam's graphics. Search for screencaps of True Crime to see for yourself.

On the plus side, you are able to walk around in the dungeon and view some of the damsels from different camera angles by moving the camera stick and your character around. That's the benefit of computer graphics - more interactivity.

Greyman-as i posted in my review, there may have been a handgag or 2 (very brief if they occurred), but since im not a gagsnob of any kind, im not sure exactly, and i've already returned the movie.

Cool!

I played it right after it came out. I liked all the chick cuffing you get to do. :) Too bad they just vanish after you cuff 'em.

Anywho, I was good cop all the way... been meaning to go back and play the bad cop branches but I haven't yet. Now that I know this, I'll defintely go back. Thanks!

SNL Tonight?
Someone mentioned a while back that Elisha Cuthbert would be in a parody of 24 tonight on SNL, but I've searched high and low and haven't turned up a single article saying she's a guest star. Everything I've read says that it's with Janet Jackson tonight. Confirm or deny?

I think the poster said Mad TV, not SNL. Janet Jackson is the guest on SNL tonight.

Missed the Target
The following full treatment scenes are my pet peeves because the quality/beauty of the damsels was so high, and the bondage or camera-work of the scene was so lame that these COULD have been classics but come off as unsatisfying.

1. Tina Louise, Gilligan's Island "somthing about Eva"

2. Claudia Christian, Quantum Leap

3. Marilu Henner, Stark

4. Ellen Barkin, Buckaroo Banzai

5. Leslie Bibb, The Big Easy

6. Suzanne Summers, She's the Sheriff

Just sharing some thoughts, but anyone else have pet peeve scenes that spring to mind, where the full treatment is applied but is a bit of a letdown?
