If your referring to "Historias y Testigos" this week's episode was a regular bondagefest. Finally got around to checking my copy tonight. In the first couple of minutes there's lots of quick shots of a woman hanging between two trees in an upperhalf spreadeagle, unfortunately she's dead. Then awhile after that, in the killer's lair, a woman (mid twenties) is tied (hands above head) and cleave gagged in a grease pit. She watches in terror as the killer suffocates an unconscious woman. He goes to dispose of the body and she struggles like crazy to free herself before he gets back. She eventually escapes. Then the killer kidnaps his female psychiatrist, who's in a wheelchair, and ties her hands in front. Then he chloroforms the beautiful female lead and when she wakes up, she's tied hands over head. Neither damsel is gagged. One good closeup of her hands as she struggles to free one hand to reach a cell phone. Finally the female lead is tied in a metal stairwell in a standing spreadeagle and the psychiatrist is tied hands in front to a railing. The good guys show up and save both at the last minute. In al of the scenes the restraints seem to be either torn sheets or some type of sturdy cloth. Previews for next week don't specifically show bondage but the female lead does have a black bandana dangling from her neck in several scenes, might be a gag. After two weeks in a row this show is at the top of my must tape list. Show is about a beautiful television reporter and her photographer who try to solve the cases that they report on. |

More caps and clips from material provided by the one and only Jay L. Nice little scene, assuming you're able to overlook the admittedly annoying fact that the damsel has been more than a bit roughed up. |

Show is about a beautiful television reporter and her photographer who try to solve the cases that they report on. ---- A April 25 - May 1 TV Guide magazine article ("Lust in Translation") notes that two of Telemundo's most popular primetime soaps "Prisonera" (The Prisoner) and "Pasion de Gavilanes" (Hidden Passion) now offer English subtitles. Okay, so unless one is a serious gag snob -- and I'll admit that this movie could have really used some gags -- it's hard to complain. Five damsels in skimpy/nonexistent clothing and generally creative peril, all of whom survive? Raffish likes.

Do any of you like those scenes where the damsel is gagged while still talking? Here are some of my favorites:
I Love Lucy, "The Amateur Hour". Lucy, not caring much for being burned at the stake, crys for out help. She's quickly shut up by a juicy, red, apple! "Helmmmmmmmmgh!! I Married Joan, "BAD BOY", Joan Davis gets tied up while playing cops and robbers. She decides its time to play another game, however her captors have other ideas! "Lets play another game! Now all littlemmmmmmmghghh!" Hart to Hart, episode unknown, a dark haired assitant is at the mansion while crooks are taking everyone hostage. She begins to protest this outrage! "You have no right to come into the Hart Manmmmmmmmghmmmmm!" Wonder if any of you have your favorites? |

I notice that Spike TV is airing a half-hour program "Dangerous Curves" on Sunday, April 25 @ 10:00AM E.T.
Would I be correct in assuming this is likely either a reality/documentary show, rather than reruns of the crime drama TV series that generated several great scenes for Lise Cutter and Michael Michelle? |

Tuesday April 20 12:15:05 2004 Bettie Page Movie News |
Here's something from *The Hollywood Reporter* by way of cinescape.com.
------- Actor Jared Harris has joined the cast of the HBO movie THE BALLAD OF BETTIE PAGE. He will play photographer John Willie, the man who brought Page to fame through his sexy photos of the dark-haired pin-up queen. Gretchen Mol (THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR) is playing Page. Harris will next be seen in RESIDENT EVIL APOCALYPSE this fall. The HBO movie is being directed by Mary Harron (AMERICAN PSYCHO), from a script co-written by herself and her PSYCHO scribe Guinevere Turner. ------- "John Willie"??? Obviously the reporter meant Irving Klaw (unless the HBO movie will be set in some alternate universe. Hmmm...) Similar gaffe: I remember before *The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik-Yak* came out someone wrote in an article that it was based on "a French comic strip." This might not bode well for *The Hollywood Reporter* winning a Pulitzer, but at least we know the HBO movie is still on track. :-) |

Are there any real good ones that not all of us know about? ---- And for those still criticizing the T.J. Hooker ("The Obsession") episode, its climax included her admirer using the B&g'd Officer Sheridan as a shield, then making her scurry up a building's stairs to its rooftop. The director included one camera angle to catch a good (and well-lit) view of her wrists cuffed behind her. Sandahl Bergman's "Hell Comes to Frogtown" (1989) had a lengthy sequence wearing a leather bikini top, collar and rope harness, and being led along by her leash. Roddy Piper made no attempt to conceal his enjoyment with her idea to infiltrate "Frogtown". Okay, no gag, but pretty darned impressive. |

Great finish to the scene, with more great closeups of the white tape-gag and some kicking on the door with the damsel's bare feet. Best soap scene, and certainly the longest, in a long time. I made the caps myself: they're downsized reference caps from my clips, which in turn were ripped and edited from the DVD. Thanks, Netflix! And yes, it's mainstream. Funny...I was actually thinking that this one would be a juicy subject for one of your essays. The role of the sketchy bondage filmmaker is particularly interesting: traditionally, he'd be the bad guy, but here he's merely the rube who delivers our damsels into the hands of the *real* evil. (Granted, he does debase himself by continuing to snap pictures as the mystical force slashes the lovely Misty Mundae, which according to horror-movie morality means that his skull has a date with being bashed in.) The other weird thing is that, despite the title, there's a lot more screaming than death. I wasn't exactly counting bodies because I wasn't exactly watching it for the plot, but as I mentioned, all five of the damsels who end up in peril survive. Heck, even the dorky hero of the piece survives, despite the fact that Darwin would have pegged him as dead by the third act. |

Tuesday April 20 18:46:31 2004 Re: Passions |
This bound and gagged scene from the April 16, 19, and 20 2004 episodes of Passions is a CLASSIC! It is one of the very best scenes of all time. I absolutely love it! It reminds me of a Helpless Heroines video. "Heather" (played by Alison Robertson, a beautiful brown-haired, brown-eyed young woman) is dressed in a hospital gown. She is chloroformed into unconsciousness. Her wrists and ankles are tightly bound with thick white tape. Her wrists are bound in front, and we get to see that they are crossed and tightly bound. Her mouth is tightly gagged with thick white tape (and not just her lips, the gag extends all the way back to her ears.) She is barefoot. We see her waking up from a chloroform induced nap. She has a sad, apprehensive look on her face. The scene is well lit, well framed, and well photographed, even though the scene takes place in a closet. There are full body shots, medium shots and closeups. There is plenty of footage. She kicks her bound bare feet against the door to try to draw attention to her plight and we get a good look at her feet. There are shots where her entire body is in the frame. Plus, the storyline actually is suspenseful, especially for us ("Will there be more footage of helpless 'Heather' before she is found?") If you have not seen this scene yet, you are in for a tremendous treat. |

Brit Lind plays the kidnapped showgirl who's a friend of Dan Tanna's secretary, Bea. Her abductors want to talk to her for some reason, so they have to get her from the bedroom in which she is bound and gagged with the other showgirls, all wearing bikinis. They stand her up and untie her ankles. She makes some noises through her gag, and they warn her to cooperate. Her hands remain tied in front of her, and she is cleave-gagged with a blue scarf. They march her to the living room, where the mastermind of the operation is waiting for her. Viewers are treated to a lengthy scene of her walking while still bound and gagged. |

Tuesday April 20 20:47:39 2004 lost opportunity susan lucci |
I know this subject has been discussed before. I have been trying to figure which one I would have chosen. I must admit there have been many, too many. But one I remember vividly is the one with Susan Lucci in a soap Called All My children. Perhaps some of you out there would remember it.
It Was While ago, when I was younger and first started to really get the enjoyment out of women in bondage. The newspapaper Soap Report had a short column on someone named Erica Kane being held hostage by a woman seeking revenge. Of Course I tuned in right away to see if it was going to be good. (this was when Susan was younger and better looking than now, ie an older woman with a great body) Anyway the scene starts in some house with Erica being tied with hands behind back and feet together, wearing a short dress and short fur coat. After several days of bantering back a forth, which was as boring as could be, plus a few escape attempts, the interesting story then took a twist. The bad girl informs Erica that because the gas furnace is in bad shape all she has to do is flick a few dials and it will blow up along with Erica. Erica then calls her mad, the Bad girl proclaims that she has heard all she wants from Erica, reaches into her purse, pulls out a wadding of clothe!!! by this time the heart was pumping, along with other things. when suddenly the bad girls also pulls out a bottle of chloroform and puts Erica to sleep, I think I almost blew a fuse over that mis-step. It also taught me not to expect anything from any show ever again. |

And the villian from Charlie's Angels, "Waikiki Angels" "You know, you're pretty good with women with their hands tied" "Oh, I'm better than that, baby. You give me a day, you give me a week, you'll be begging for me to tie you up" classic. |

I thought it was the best soap scene in a long time, maybe since Elizabeth Hendrickson, who was bound and gagged for several days in 2002 on "All My Children" and Martha Byrne's marathon tape-gag scene from a few years before that on "As the World Turns." Plus, you can't beat the white tape. The downside is it's not a regular soap star that we see often, but the damsel was pretty nice. The hands tied in front was silly, of course, but we've seen that a bunch of times. Another absurd storyline, since the damsel could have just kicked the door until someone heard her. Plus, no attempt to "mmmppppff" and struggle to get someone's attention. |
