Friday March 19 04:00:26 2004 Screaming Dead? |
Hey all,
i dont normally post to the site, i just like to read all the postings, but i had a question for anyone who can help me. We just got a movie in called the Screaming Dead (Doesnt come out for another two weeks), just wanted to know if it might be worth a rent. Back cover looks promising, some shots of women tied down to some sort of table. typical horror stuff but didnt know if it was anything out of the ordinary? thanks so much for your help. Here is a link to a presale on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3394537870 |

I watched the episode and was disappointed but not surprised at the lack of KO/bondage/etc. You know, after her boss and brother were both let in on her secret powers, I had high hopes that she might have a scene where one or both of them would need to rescue her from a "predicament" involving unconsciousness and bondage. Sadly, no such scenario so far this season! I still hold out hope, however dim it may be... |

The show has disappointed in the past so I'm not holding much hope for tonight. |
Friday March 19 13:15:44 2004 Peggy Lipton |
> > Any other great revelatory moments, folks?
> > > > Peggy Lipton's BB&G scene in the episode "The Hot, Hot Car" on The Mod Squad. ---- Mischa Barton (who is on the cover of a couple current April 2004 women's magazines at newsstands now) reminds me of Peggy Lipton's delicate beauty. "The Hot, Hot Car" did have a couple nice scenes, espcially its line "...I'm a sucker for a pretty face -- if I took your gag off, you could sweet-talk me right into jail." Like the rest of America, it was clear her captor was enamored w/ sweet Julie Barnes (What captor wouldn't have been willing to give her shoulder and back rubs to ease any muscle cramps?). It'd be a longshot, but perhaps The O.C. could sometime produce an "obsessed admirer" storyline for Barton. |

Friday March 19 16:37:51 2004 Wonder Woman-- close, but no... *sigh* |
If someone had told me that the latest issue of Wonder Woman (#202) would feature a "chair-tie-with-ballgag-and-blonde-villainess-gloating" scene... well, I'd likely have done myself a mischief scrambling to get to the comic store.
While I'm glad I did stumble across it, unfortunately the character in question is not our heroine, but a rather plain-looking attorney who the villainess is pumping for information. The artist is new to me: Stephen Sadowski. The tie is duct tape, and very realistic looking (hands behind the chair, ankles taped to chair legs), though the damsel does appear to have been roughed up (and in the end, she may or may not have been killed by the villainess). She is shown in about two dozen panels over several pages. I'm not going to scan the entire thing, since it didn't do that much for me, but I've posted a reduced-size black and white version (the original is in color) of one closeup to give you an idea if you want to spend the $2.25 yourself. I should also point out that the writer, Greg Rucka, is, if not "one of us", at least a guy who understands the BDSM world very well, as he showed in his Black Widow miniseries. He's also used ballgags in kidnap scenes in one or two of his mystery novels. |

The funny thing about creative people is they also are sometimes kinksters. Someone once told me a comic artist friend of his is into bondage, but avoids putting it in his stories. I can only imagine that either he's afraid people will "find out", or maybe he just doesn't want to overdo a plot element (which sounds reasonable to me, since I'm a "story takes precedence" person). |

Friday March 19 17:33:51 2004 Post-ties in recent commericals |
Has anyone in the Los Angeles area caught either of the following commercials?
There's an SBC ad where the conniving babysitter is eliminating her competition. We're given a brief shot of a young woman tied to a tetherball post (wrapped with the connected tether), all alone and calling out "Hell-oooo?" Also an Eastwood auto insurance commercial has a woman in Western-period costume tied to a post with three loops of 2-inch thick rope around her body and calling out for help. There's a sign above her head on the post with the words "Really Cruddy Insurance Company" scrawled on it. Unfortunately, the black-hatted, mustachioed villain trades places with her when the good guy from Eastwood comes to her rescue. No gags in either. I saw both once but wasn't recording, dammit! |

I don't suppose anyone saved a copy of that message. I didn't think to, just deleted. I'd like to make a formal spam report on it, and having the actual text along with the IP address would help.

They already had that storyline a few weeks ago. Some rich, disturbed, loser kid at her school thought Mischa was his true love because she was nice to him. She ended up at a hotel with him and when she realized how psycho he was she tried to leave but he pulled a gun as the show went to commercial... Of course, next time they showed her, she was sitting unbound on the sofa talking to him. The cops eventually broke in and took the kid away. Since her family is wealthy, I guess the old "kidnap the rich man's daughter for ransom" plotline is the only thing we can hope for with Mischa on the OC. |
