An over the nose (yet not intended to suffocate) tapegag (see link), now I've seen everything.

I was going to vote for the Deborah Walley scene but you beat me to it. How about Ginger and Mary Ann for a "double-mmmmpphhing" in the "How to Be a Hero" episode of Gilligan's Island? I know being gagged with banana leaves is a bit off-beat, but how they did mmmpphh.

British scene
To anyone out there who can pick up the British satellite channel CBBC, at 6pm GMT there is a repeat of this mornings "Top of the Pops Saturday". Right at the beginning, sexy blonde presenter Fearne Cotton is tied arms to her sides, cleave gagged with cloth, hopping inthe background, as a boy band present the start of the show. They make references to her being tied. She loosens the gag herself and asks whose idea was it to tie her up. Well worth looking out for if you can get it. Sorry for lateness of post, computer has been down most of today.

Re: Best mmmmphing?
My vote has to go to the rather underrated scene from "Simon & Simon" where Caren Kaye was tied & gagged in the cave. A traditional OTM white cloth gag caused Ms. Kaye to produce some totally amazing mmmphhh-ing to attract attention.

There was also some very nice sounds made by Karen Kopins in "Once Bitten" as she actually seemed to have a conversation with Jim Carrey thru her tape gag ("He said he needed me!" came out surprisingly clear).

Remember that scene well, and it was very good. I always thought Caren was an underrated hottie. A year or two before that scene, she starred in a bizarre NBC sitcom with Tricia Cast and Jason Bateman (and also the neighbor from "Married with Children"). It only lasted a few months, but I was so hoping for a mother-daughter scene with Caren and Tricia, who looked much better in that show than she did in her follow-up soap scenes.

My other picks would be Nancy Frangione (white tape-gag scene in "Another World") and Marisa Tomei in "The Watcher." Marisa's "mmmpppffff" when she was ungagged was priceless.

Your opinions wanted, ladies and gentlemen...
...as to whether the following merits a database entry.

I'm sure most of you-in the USA at least-are familiar with the A & E network documentary series "American Justice." A recently rebroadcast episode deals with a controversial Arizona death-penalty case involving a young woman convicted of killing her toddler son. This not being the Anything Goes page-stayeth thou thy hand, Moderator-I won't go into details here, but you can at least hear her side of it at the link below.

Anyway, over the years, the inmate's German-born mother has been her most passionate advocate. She's even gone to the extent of having herself strapped to a gurney in public during anti-death-penalty demonstrations in her native country, to protest what may happen to her daughter. There's a lingering shot of a still photograph of this near the end of the episode.

Okay, it's "acting" only in the strictest technical sense, but then again, so were Joan Lunden's two forays into the behind-the-scenes life of prisoners, and we put both of those in. Granted, Lunden gave us live action with a lot more screen time, but my vote is that we add this scene if only for completeness' sake. What say you?

Oh...and as for Beyonce as Lois Lane, this could turn out to be a case of our not being careful what we wish for. If you've seen her hip-hop portrayal of Bizet's "Carmen"-in which she clearly only pretended to be handcuffed, albeit rather effectively-you can't help but wonder how enthusiastically she'd embrace the challenge of playing one of popular culture's most often bound-and-gagged characters.

Can you say "Margot Kidder?"

She Spies :"Leotards and Lies"
I guess you could say there is another tie up scene this week. I don't know about the gymnast. She was sitting in a chair with her arms on the chairarms, but I didn't see any rop or tape. Later, DD is knocked unconscience and when Shane arrives at the beach house she is lying on the floor with her hands "tied" in front.(see cap at the bottom of the link.) Now I know "She Spies" might not always have the best ropework or realistic gags, but they have at least been tight.

This week's update
Yes, it's that time of the week again. This time around, I present Aimee Castle in Big Wolf On Campus "Save The Last Trance," Rochelle Redfield in Highlander "Black Tower," Michelle Scarabelli in Okavango "Crime And Punishment," Noel Neill in The Adventures Of Superman "The Perils Of Superman," Kathleen Kinmont in The Art Of Dying, and Linda Thorson and Kate O'Mara in The Avengers "Stay Tuned."

Actually, that's "Day of the Daleks". And yes, it is a good scene.

Is it likely to be of interest to anyone? It isn't the
goal of the database to log every scene or quasi scene
in the world, but to be a working resource for collectors.

Without a Trace? & Spun
Did anything happen on Without a Trace Thursday night? There was a possible alert about it but I haven't heard anything since.

Also, has anyone had any luck finding the UNRATED version of Spun at any of the video stores? We have 30-40 video stores here in town, including some mom-and-pop ones, and I've not seen anything but the R-rated version, which I've heard is edited pretty badly in the crucial scenes.
I've seen it on eBay but I don't want to spend $20 for it, just wanna rent it & get the "good stuff"! Do any of the mainstream video stores carry the unrated version that anyone has seen?

Hey, Can anyone verify this scene from the Database:

Record number: 4840
Title: Aerobicide (1986) aka Killer Workout
Medium: Movie
Actress: Diane Copeland
Description: Cute blonde gets tied to a work-out bench (wouldn't you have guessed it?) cleave-gagged with white cloth in her lycra outfit. The scene was a bit short, abrupt somehow, so part of it seemed to be edited, maybe there was more.
Some nice stuggling and mmphhing from the damsel. A bit dark & short, though. >>>>>

I just rented this movie & scanned thru the entire thing & didn't see any scene even remotely like the description. An actress named Diane Copeland was indeed in the movie, but she didn't end up tied to any workout bench.
Again, can anyone verify is this entry is wrong or if the video version may have had this scene deleted for some reason?

...To all who have yet to view their taped versions or have yet to see the episode, do NOT bother. The gymnast is not tied 'cuz she's actually in on a fake kidnapping. Plus she's not all that cute to begin with. Meanwhile, DD's tie is shown for about 3 seconds and it's just about the loosest of the loose. Not even a hint of a gag in either case. The scenes are so poor that I plan to record over them at the earliest opportunity.

Hmm....I dunno. Interestingly, an actress named Diane Copeland IS in "Killer Workout", but she is a brunette & doesn't really look like the actress from "Mankillers". Maybe a nice dye-job?
In any case, nothing in "Killer Workout"...no bondage at all.
