They ran 3 promos from 10 to 11 on Wednesday, the first 2 were the combo promos and the third the new one. Might have to wait until Sunday to see the tape-gag. |

Thursday January 08 02:07:33 2004 Haute Tension |
Hey Raffish, I think HAUTE TENSION/SWITCHBLADE ROMANCE was already reported on (I saw it about six months ago).
If not, then here goes: Nice, VERY long scene with one of the two female leads (Maïwenn Le Besco) bound and gagged with thin chain -- first on a bed, then (for a long time) in the back of a van. Very unusual gag: a chain through a piece of rubber tubing, with the tube drawn tightly back between the girl's teeth. A lock in back of her head keeps it in place. Frustrating for both captive and rescuer (the other female lead) when she is unable to free her (even the gag) because it's locked so tight. Lots of struggling and mmmph-ing. Great film with a very original slant too. |

Thursday January 08 05:53:55 2004 I know this isn't the Database Corrections page... |
...but upon seeing that someone's thrown in a description of Charlize Theron's scenes in the new movie "Monster," which I haven't seen myself yet, I've just got to ask the poster:
1.) Does the name "Aileen Wuornos" ring a bell? Didn't see it in your entry anywhere. The film's a true story-hers, to be exact. 2.) Just curious-was the tying-her-hands-to-the-steering-wheel scene presented as fact or flashback? (This was the story Wuornos originally told with regard to her first victim, claiming that she'd killed him in self-defense; I believe she recanted this when she dropped her appeals and confessed her guilt.) 3.) What-you mean they DIDN'T depict her execution? I thought that was going to be a lock, given those utterly bizarre last words. Just wondering. |

Thursday January 08 06:43:17 2004 Mainstream TV/Movies reflecting reality |
> By the 70's those same adult bookstores had large displays of bondage materials.
---- Which is why I've been waiting for mainstream TV/movies to "catch up" to the reality of modern lifestyles. Today, I'd guesstimate that probably over half of primetime sitcoms (and not just the ones only available via premium cable TV channels) have incorporated at least one "vibrator joke". And some have gotten past a "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" when delivering the vibrator lines. Just like vibrators, Bondage gear (handcuffs, leather cuffs, ballgags, etc.) are openly displayed in any city or surburban adult bookstore. And obviously, they're being bought, or shelfspace and inventory wouldn't be allocated to them. While handcuffs ARE often seen in mainstream TV/movies scenes, we haven't seen nearly enough in the way of leather cuffs & gags (such as Walker Texas Ranger's "Return of LaRue", which re-airs today). And unfortunately, consensual bondage is still generally portrayed with "Wink, wink, nudge, nudge" rather than just being a facet of 21st-century life, although that may be slowly evolving: E.g., "Birthday Girl", and "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer" (Xander going thru Giles' things: "What self-respecting bachelor doesn't own a pair of handcuffs?!"). |

One of the more unique hands-behind-back bondage scenes. Must have been uncomfortable. |

Thursday January 08 13:48:55 2004 Amy Jo Johnson |
Amy Jo Johnson, who had a recent scene in a western on the Hallmark Channel, is joining the cast of "The Division" on Lifetime replacing ex-Jag damsel Tracey Needham. She plays a rookie cop. Oh, the possibilities there. But I'm still waiting for a Nancy McKeon scene, anything. Debuts opposite "Alias" this Sunday at 9 p.m. |

Thursday January 08 16:23:04 2004 Has anybody seen the TV movie "Exile"? |
Exile (see imdb link for a good description) is a 1990 TV movie. Someone in Rob's forum posted vague info about a damsel with (at least) hands tied behind her. My VCR turned off early when I tried to record the scene - must be right at the end - but must be character Karen (Sarah Buxton) involved.
Has anyone seen this and can confirm? You'd also be welcome to add it to the DB. |

Thursday January 08 18:42:26 2004 Threat Matrix possibility |
The official site for Threat Matrix gives this description for tonight's episode:
"Mexico" A bank hold-up in Mexico forces the team and the ambassador of Mexico to work together when secret alliances create a deadly situation that puts Frankie's life in real peril. Frankie is played by Kelly Rutherford. These bank holdups don't usually pay off, but you never know. |

With LAMETV it is in the middle of the page towards the bottom. Just type what you are looking for and click return, or the search button right underneath the box. My homepage link will take you to the results I just got. Pretty sure you have to be signed in at Yahoo to make the link work. The "Search" block on the top of the page is a general web search, not a Yahoo Group search. Be advised that the 'ADULT' [last timeI tried this covered Bound, Bondage, Gagged, Tied Up] group 'Join A Group' function has been disabled for quite some time. The only way to find new 'ADULT' groups is to constantly scan the message and link sections of other 'ADULT' groups. IIRC, Red's [http://reds-realm.net] has a small Yahoo section in his links area Also, Yahoo might have some sort of child protection hoops you might have to jump through to access 'ADULT' groups. Probably wouldn't hurt to setup a Yahoo acount with an 'Adult' profile. I'll go through my lists after the CSI's are over and post a list of Mainstream DID Yahoo Groups. Good Luck and Happy Hunting |

---- Bondage Life's "Bound for Hollywood" column poked fun at "Enter the Ninja" (1981), where Susan George's black silk scarf gag starts out as over-the-mouth, progresses to a cleave, and ends up as somewhere in-between. Having not seen it before, I also enjoyed last month's re-airing of Kate Jackson's "Dark Shadows" chairtie, where she makes an outstanding snap & bite-down just as her cloth "gag" is about to fly off. |

This was a failed Disney pilot that burned off as an episode of "The Wonderful World of Disney" or whatever the show was called that year. Anyway, a plane load of high school students crashes on a remote island. The pilot goes nuts and kidnaps Sarah Buxton's character. Her hands are tied behind her back and attached to a long stick which the guys uses to lead her around. The other students set a trap for him, he steps into it and they untie her. No closeups of her hands, no gag and the only time we see her tied is as she and her captor approach the trap. It'll be in the database shortly. |

"Cat and Mouse", British movie c.1959. Damsel left tied to a rocking chair (nice touch) overnight, during which her plaid patterned OTM gag contrives to turn inside out. |
