Did Anyone See... (Part 1)
...Monday's "As the World Turns. I caught part of towards the end. Two guys were outside of a wedding talking about how some woman had tried to crash it so they took her off and left her with Jen(?).(I think thats the name they used.) Now, since I know a soap wedding never goes off with out a hitch, I could easily imagine them cutting to a shot of the woman tying up Jen so she can make her escape. So at this point I start making my way to the upstairs to the VCR setup to catch bondage scenes. The quick sprint and remote grab use to be done in 30 seconds, but while watching a baby things take longer.(Like this post.) By the time a got the VCR rolling the woman was already at the wedding. Did I miss anything?

...Friday's "Ladron de Corazones". Earlier tonight, the first time the woman was shown she was being led out of a car with her hands tied already tied behind her. Was there anything Friday or was tonight it?

Last Question Tonight (Promise)
From the looks of it, all the shots Mark C had capped from Friday's "General Hospital"(BTW, Thank you)were shown again today. Did I get lucky and the whole scene was run today or were there some parts of the scene that were shown Friday but not today? (Besides the grab.)

That was the entire scene. So, yes, you did have luck on your side. It's just a shame the scene didn't last a little longer, I think we all could have done with a few more close-ups. Although, the gag talk was priceless.

I have it on tape and have traded the 2 scenes from it with a few people in the UK.There is a chloro scene which leads to a partial scene with hands in front and no gag. There is also a scene where she is on the beach sunbathing in a bikini and is thrown into a net and towed out to sea.

I checked out the official website of "extreme dating". There are no photos with any kind of bondage but the story description says that a group of friends decide that they can only fall in love under extreme conditions so they stage a kidnapping. Things go wrong when they find out the men they hired to do the kidnapping are ex-cons with plans of their own. In the description it says that the remaining friends have to save the others so it possibly involves several damsels. The movie is described as an action-comedy. If you want to check it out yourself go to imdb.com type in extreme dating then click on the official website link.

Try to use an internet download manager (like DAP for example) and add this url (for the real version):

Angie Harmon
Just got the Angie Harmon scene in "Baywatch Nights" and was plesantly surprised. Poorly done, yes, but it's Angie Harmon looking absolutely gorgeous. I'll update the database description in DB corrections if anyone is interested. Nice bonus on this one was the capture scene. The thugs bust in and point guns at Angie, who points her own gun back. After she realizes she's beaten, she does a nice twirl with the gun in giving it up and shows an awesome and hopeless expression on her face as the thugs take command. Nice outfit as well. Business jacket and pants over white t-shirt. The OTM gag was so thin and loose Angie had to completely fake her awesome "mmmmppppfing" before the rescue.

Land of the Living
How you all are!? It is nice to be back among friends, at least as far cyberspace goes. There is so much I want to tell you about, but as space is limited and I don't want to bore all you nice people taking time out of your busy schedules to read my little missive, I shall endeavour toget right to the heart of the matter and skip the fluff, as the saying goes.

I have just finished reading a very fine novel by a very articulate authoress named Nicci French. Upon seeing said book mentioned hearabouts several weeks ago, I began a search locally to find this exciteing sounding story. I could not have purchased it through AMAZON.COM even though it is available there (for those of you wanting to find a copy a copy for purchase yourself, which I recomend you do) due to some unpleasentries which are of no interest or concern to you, and I do not wish to take up valuable space telling you fine people about. But, I Digress, and now shall return to the subject matter at hand, which is this novel called "LAND OF THE LIVING".

I had only intended to read the very first opening part of the novel, because not being very much of a reader, I only wanted to read the parts describing how the female victim is trussed up and her struggles for freedom. Well, unfortunatly, that did not happen. After reading the vivid and somewhat detailed details of her binding and subsequent struggles therein, and excellent dialog between her and her captor, I found, as you surely will to, compleatly involved in the story line and wanting to find out what happens to the story. Throughout most of the book, after the first part (detailing the kidnapping and captivity) the rest of the story contains no interest for the subject of this page, except a brief interlude to the conclusion. But the book is very enjoyuable and I recomend all of you to read it.

If they should decide to portray this book on a Hollywood screen, it is my opinion that Katie Holmes would be an excellent choice to play the female lead. Then again, I am in favor of finding any role to get the beautiful Ms. Holmes tied up. As I have completed the mission for which I started this message, I shall sign off for now. Untill next time, I remain,

Sincerly Yours

Welcome back, Ignatius. Gotta say, you've got a somewhat frighteningly formal writing style, but you more than make up for it with your taste in damsels.

In fact, I've been inspired to dump my collection of (IMHO) amazingly-skilled Katie-in-bondage fakes here, so that everyone else will know what you're talking about...

Thanks to ss & James for the detective work & info.

Are these scenes in the color film or the b&w or spread across both?

If any editors are reading, are these films mainstream enough for the database?

Well ... sorta. Comparing Friday's and yesterday's eps, there's the same dialog and camera angles, but it's definitely another take. So you *didn't* miss the scene ... but you *did* miss the first version of it.

women writers
Has anyone figured up the number of scenes(ie story lines, movies, t.v.) that were written by women for a scene inolving the full treatment of another woman. Like Mary Higgens Clark and the several ones she wrote.
I'm sure the soaps have had quite a few. Can anyone think of a list.

We have had rules that say if it is not 'mainstream media' it is out for this page. So, for example, discussion of an escapes convention or some protestors is out.

"USA Today", Today
On the top right corner of the front page of today's edition of "USA Today" there's a picture of Elisha Cuthbert next to the headline that reads "Perils of Elisha: Playing Kim on 24 is a weekly cliffhanger for Elisha Cuthbert."

And on page 3 of section D is a lengthy article titled "Damsel Kim is back to distressing '24' fans". Lots of stuff about "Kim" being kidnapped and facing other perils in previous seasons in the article.

Actually, what he said was that, after the initial abduction scene (which is quite good), there was nothing further.

Ms. French is definitely one to keep an eye on, as she writes very detailed (if sometimes brutal) bondage scenes.

On this Forum, yes. You can always take it to "Anything Goes". I agree it can take some slogging to follow a discussion thread there, but it can be done.

If you prefer a moderated forum, you could always try setting up your own page elsewhere (I'm sure Brian would provide a link). Of course, the times that others have tried it, participation has been rather poor, but that doesn't mean you can't give it a try.

If this had happen two or three years ago, I would have been mad I didn't catch every single frame of Robin Christopher tied up. However, since joining "GH" her sex appeal has faded like many other soap actresses recently.(Please people, for just $.75 a day you can give these actresses much needed nurishment.)

I'm just glad I caught some complete version and can finally cross her off my "Soap Actress Top Five Wanted" list. (I filled in her spot with Ana Lucía Domínguez of "Pasion do Gavilanes".)

And many thanks also to East Coast Dan & Hermango for filling in my misses.

Best 15 minutes on network TV this year. This never gets old with Elisha. Great mmmmpppfing and a different shade of duct tape this year. It appeared to be the gaffer's tape. Well-sealed. Awesome.

Adventures in Paradise
Does anyone remember a 60's adventure series called ADVENTURES IN PARADISE. Gardner McKay played Captain Adam Troy, skipper of the schooner Tiki, and they sailed all over the South Pacific, each week encountering new adventures. The series was filled with beautiful girls in exotic settings, naturally in distress situations, just waiting to be rescued by the heroic Captain Troy.

One episode in particular contained the best bondage scene ever. Captain Troy is battling on the side of a Presidential-like figure of one of the islands against a guerrilla band seeking to overthrow the government. This island leader has a beautiful daughter, of course, who has caught our brave captain's eye. It seems, though, the daughter is not too enamored with her father, who she believes may be just another corrupt politician.

Anyway, the daughter is kidnapped by the guerrilla leader and stowed, bound and gagged, below on the Tiki. I mean, this girl was really tied! Several close-up shots of her struggling and squirming on the bunk were unbelievable. There was no doubt the ropes were tightly tied. Remember, this was an era when "bondage scenes" in mainstream TV and movies usually lasted about 0.75 seconds.

She manages to get to her feet, though they were bound as well. Leaning against a huge bottle of drinking water fastened onto the wall by a metal ring, she is somehow able to tilt it over so that it smashes to the floor in a zillion pieces. Though it wasn't shown, you could just imagine her getting down on the floor with all that broken glass (ouch!) and groping for a piece sharp enough to cut her bonds. Sheesh! Why didn't she just wait for Captain Troy to come and rescue her?

Our fair damsel does manage to free herself and comes topside just as Captain Troy is finishing up the business at hand -- defeating the enemy, although the leader escapes to fight another day. It is then she confesses she really did admire the adversary "much the way Americans admire the players on rival baseball teams". You know, like Red Sox fans really admire Derek Jeter.

I saw this as a young lad, but have never forgotten it. I would love to see it again, though I doubt if a copy exists. Does anyone else remember such a scene and have an idea as to who the actress was? She was great. IMDb lists the episodes and guest stars, but no plot summary for each episode. There is an episode titled "Daughter of Illusion" that starred Barbara Steele and supposedly aired on 12/12/60, but, pulling up the newspaper TV listings for that day, hoping to find a plot summary, a completely different episode is scheduled.

Any ideas? Does anyone have a copy of this fantastic scene? Please excuse the lengthy post.

I'm not 100% certain, but last season they showed each episode again on FX later in the week. You could catch it then if they are still doing that. Anyone know for sure if it'll air again on either FOX or FX?

I remember watching the show as a child. It was on in the afternoons, I think, which would mean it was in syndicated reruns at the time. Don't remember any details of the shows, however. Probably didn't see them all.

My point exactly.

The 'anything goes' is no longer the place for anything like this.

It would be sad to need to set up a different system to handle this, if, and this is a big if, Brian's system could fairly easily handle another page.
