The actress kidnapped was shown in the final minutes tied hands above to the backboard of a bed and not gagged. Silly episode, since the cops found her by her screaming but never would have found her if she was gagged. Which leads to a recent problem with these types of shows, the "CSI's" "Without a Trace" "1-800-Missing." It used to be we'd always get a scene or two of the kidnap victim during the episode, but lately the trend is to show nothing with the victim until the final seconds at the rescue scene. Many shows aren't even showing the grab scenes. |

Wednesday September 24 10:18:24 2003 Re: John Ritter |
> John Ritter was involved in a classic handcuff joke > on "Three's Company" TV Series. I don't think it's been mentioned before but one of the interesting things about that episode is Heather Lowe (yes, the one from SWAT and Greatest American Hero) guest-starred as the girl Jack Tripper has a date with (and tried to hide the handcuffs from). Of course, Heather didn't wind up in bondage in that story. > also rescued > Pam Dawber in "Stay Tuned". > And in the 2000 movie "Tripfall", his wife > (Rachel Hunter) is held captive b&g'd. And notice all the "Three's Company" actresses have at least one significant (gagged) bondage credit in their careers: Suzanne Somers (She's the Sheriff) Jenilee Harrison (gagged but not bound, damn, on Simon and Simon) Priscilla Barnes (American Girls) even Joyce DeWitt in her "cleave" TC scene. And the original landlords were named "The Ropers"...Hmmm... |

Wednesday September 24 10:52:36 2003 Reconsidering "Passions" |
I was excited to hear about Sheridan's handgagging on "Passions" yesterday, that is, until I arrived home and saw the tape of it. Wow, is this show pitiful. They can't even make a handgag look convincing! I've never seen such an inept attempt at binding a captive. It's starts off well enough, with the villain ripping the duct tape of the roll (nice touch) -- and it's all downhill quickly from there. She wraps it around Sheridan's body just below her shoulders, which doesn't do any amount of restraining. She then tapes Sheridan's hands . . . in front, of course. Strike #2. The villain then proceeds to use miles of duct tape securing Sheridan's blindfold, all while listening to Sheridan mouth off at point blank range. And she does what any angry villain would do: she repeatedly tells Sheridan to shut up! Quick recap: the villain has the duct tape in her hand while Sheridan loudly begs for her life right in front of her -- and she doesn't even rip off a tiny piece of duct tape to gag her, not even your usual soap opera-styled microscopic "symbolic" duct tape gag. Well, folks, I don't know about you, but I think this definitely qualifies as a Bottom Five Scene. To make it worse, when Sheridan is finally gagged in some manner, via the hand, it looks like the villain is afraid of catching germs from the contact with Sheridan's mouth. Is this bad girl a descendant of Howard Hughes or something?!!? What gives? I am at a loss. "Passions" has always looked like an over-budgeted high school drama club production the few times I've seen it, but I guarantee you there's better, more realistic bondage in most high school productions than in this disaster of a scene.
Let's see what happens today . . . |

Wow, is this show pitiful. > They can't even make a handgag look convincing! Well said. They should be banned from ever using duct tape again. The scripts, acting, everything is horrible on this show. It's dead last by a wide margin in the daytime ratings, yet it stays on the air. |
Wednesday September 24 15:26:07 2003 Passions Blindfold Action! |
Good Afternoon. I unlike a lot of you really enjoy a good blindfold scene for reasons I'm not exactly sure of (maybe the additional helplessness). Anyways, I was curious about the original blindfold that went on before the tape. What was it? Did the the tape end up wound around her hair? Was it very tight? Too bad they forgot a gag...Any caps? The scene on America's Most Wanted was pretty pathetic in my book. Very loose tape! Damsel could speak as if it wasn't there. Tape around the head scenes, though very rare, are some of my favorites. Besides Ulee's Gold, Wiseguy (awesome), and that UPN or WB show couple years back can anyone reccommend some scenes....Sorry to ramble for so long and thanks in advance! |

Wednesday September 24 18:30:35 2003 Highlander alert |
I just posted a late alert (on the alerts page) for the Highlander episode "Two of Hearts" on Spike TV tonight. It aired this afternoon and will repeat later tonight.
It was one of those rare occasions when I was just flipping through the channels and happened upon a full-screen close-up of a woman's face with a nice black tape gag! Thanks to the alert section of Brian's great page, that's the kind of surprise that rarely happens anymore. I ain't complaining! But, it was kind of nice and nostalgic to trip over a scene I'd never seen before totally by accident. (Of course, the sheer number of scenes that I've seen that I never would have even heard of without this site much more than make up for that feeling of discovery!) (If recording the scene, be sure to have the VCR ready from the get-go, because the scene is at the very beginning of the episode.) |

Wednesday September 24 19:52:42 2003 Rachel Griffiths get full Treatment in new movie |
Yes, one of my top five most wanted get bound and tape gagged in her new movie, The Hard Word, also starring Guy Pearce, The scene is short but there's some awesome MMPPHHing and one 3-4 second close up on her face and chest. Furthermore unlike some, Ms Griffiths is glamed up to the max, with blonde wig and tight fitting white jumper (ala Phylis Logan in Vaga$) |

I think that's the one with Claudia Christian doing the rescuing as she argues with her partner, who was not the Highlander. I don't think the star was even in that episode. I thought that was a setup for a spinoff with Claudia, but it never happened. |

Eric, I hope that you enjoyed Sheridan's bound and blindfold scene. Personally, I hate blindfolds. However, I am glad when someone enjoys a scene even if it doesn't do anything for me. Sheridan's blindfold was a black scarf (or scarf-like material.) The duct tape was wound all over the blindfold, all around the head (and hair.) The blindfold was quite snug. If only we could get a scene that has footage of Sheridan bound and blindfolded; bound, gagged, and blindfolded; bound and gagged without the blindfold; and bound with no gag or blindfold. That way we would all be happy! |

I saw until 2:45, at that point she was dumped in the back seat as they were driving her somewhere. A cop pulled them over and the dropped a blanket on Sheridan, who was still just blindfolded. Didn't watch the final 15 minutes. |
